I sincerely wished that I had gotten the name of the wonderful man, who was working at Bering's and who immediately began helping me find what I needed to buy. He literally walked me around, asking others who also worked there, where to find these items. Of course we ended up in the right section with a multitude of selections which I truly appreciated. I found what I needed and I was a very happy customer! This person's excellent professional service was extremely appreciated. I managed to purchase a bowl for $8, discounted because it was missing the chopsticks that accompany it, & the cashier ran after me after checkout to give me the chopsticks ($16) for free because she found them after I checked out. The staff was helpful in getting my book for me since arrived early. Bridgett was really helpful while I was waiting to give me some tips on their crepe pans and pans for making eggs. I was 1st in line and Maxi was an amazing person not just online but in person as well. After giving personalized bracelets for Maxi & her mom posed for pictures and met Doug , I continued to browse through this wonderfully laid out store. This store is their flagship store on Westheimer so they have tons of items for cooking and entertaining. Staff was friendly for the most part and willing to offer assistance. Worth a visit!!

But no record of a sale and no gift receipt. Did buy something else, but guess what. They didn't ask my name, email or phone number. Learned that this is how they track purchases, so I immediately returned my items so that they could be purchased with a record of the sale. And when I asked the sales person why she didn't ask for my information, her response? Oops, I forgot to ask. Maybe that's what happened when my friend bought a gift for me.

But you can park around in the Rice Village area and make a day of it to walk around and dine and shop. The place is cozy and it feels like you're in someone's home with all the collectibles, groceries, tea sets and decor. You can find everything from tea, trinkets, sweets and fine tea sets to Guinness and Manchester United collectibles. If you love Paddington, you'll find a nice selection of official Paddington items too. The staff is friendly, and helpful. Even though I have never been to England, the shop is reminiscent to what I've seen on tv and hopefully I get my self to experience it someday soon. Apparently it scanned for $179 from $200. But this disgrace of a human is sitting there with a price tag from "the self" for 5 cents and is arguing that the store should honor that price trying to use the system. No one is that ignorant to not know that a coffee maker is not 5 cent. You can't even buy gum for 5 cent. Enough with clients trying to take advantage of businesses. I truly wish the manager had kicked her out, but she didn't. The woman wanted a "license" to steal. Shoplifting in disguise. And yes it did ruin my experience because I don't want to shop in a place where rude clients harass the employees. The people at Target were all very polite.

They have a cool photo booth here but unfortunate it is digital not analog. The T-shirt size here run a bit bigger. There is a table in the middle for little kids to draw or color while the parents can shop in peace.
