Arrived for dinner. The waiter was excellent! Ordered the loaded fries. The entire bowl was ice cold down to the bottom of the bowl. Sent that back. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich and my wife a smoked brisket sandwich. The meat in both was cold and fatty. The manager came over and says the sides were hot! They were warm. Went here on Sunday to grab frozen drinks to go to take to the beach and they didn't disappoint. We got the frozen peach Hennessy combo and it was delish. Stopped in after the beach to grab a bite. I came here a few times, and all I can say is that the food was delicious!! You need to order their wings!! I literally go on ubereats on a lazy Saturday night and order my wings because they're great size, and the seasoning is on point!! If you like a sweet drink, definitely get the Jolly Ranch!! I have been ordering from Batesy's for a long time and I am NEVER disappointed. Food is always fresh, delicious and always arrives hot when I order. The Honey Bourdon wings are my fav along with the mac & cheese balls + their pulled pork selections are my husband favorites. I also enjoy their burger, fries and chicken sandwich, eggs and shrimp! I am surprised to see so many people complain about the amount of food for the price. I feel the serving size is great! I think people are too conditioned by ordering cheap fast food. Batesy's is REAL FRESH food... not McD's. You're paying for real food prepared when you order. Also have to say I love the owner's other restaurant as well, PICO. So my husband and i stopped there to get something to eat. i really didn't want to because my niece had ordered from there prior to this and they gave her such a little bit of food for the price she had paid. My husband was bragging about how good the food was, so i said I'll give it a try. i ordered a chopped salad For $12. when i got home and opened the box i was not pleased by what a saw. However it was late so I figure I'll just eat the salad and call it a night. upon eating the salad it tasted weird, i said okay maybe that was just me. i tasted it again and it was horrible, the lettuce was very bitter, so at that point i was very annoyed. i told my husband I'm gonna return it on the next day. i took is back and was told I couldn't get a refund because they don't do refunds, and that i had to get a store credit! i could not believe what i was hearing. i was being mad to spend my money there. well i decided they can keep that horrible Salad, and the $12. i will never spend another penny in there again, and will let it be known that their customers is not a priority! read more

My family and I have been supporting this local restaurant since they opened. Unable to pickup my order I ordered through ubereats. An hour with no food delivered because they're using their own drivers, I reach out. First they lied and said Uber wasnt picking my order up. Then tells Uber they wont deliver my order because the address isn't on their radar. What does that even mean? Im literally 5 minutes driving from there. I give them my address and they still wouldn't deliver my order after it was paid for and Tipped! They were completely unprofessional and offered no resolution. Wouldn't cancel my order so I had to call ubereats who calls them to find out why they're not delivering. Im glad that uber is documenting this because it was uncalled for. The food here is awesome!!! I've lived in the neighborhood for years and have never seen this place before today. We ordered ribs, fries, wings and a burger. The food here is good but I was disappointed that it was real BBQ food rather than baked meat with bbq sauce on it. The Mac and cheese can have a solid 4stars that was very cheesy and flavorful! Batesys has perfected BBQ!!!!!! The meat was so soft, delicious and cooked to perfection. The mac n cheese was extremely cheesy with a touch of jalapeno mixed with a side of corn bread for that sweet n salty combo!!!!! YUMMMMMMM. I sat at the front bar with my husband and 6 year old, the kitchen is open and you can see the prep of the food and orders. The guy that looks Filipino or Hispanic had such a good momentum on getting the to stay orders and the to go orders out.....I saw everyone wait no more than 5 to 10 minutes for food. The special of the day, seared sausage sandwich had a lot going on with pickles and aioli and sauteed onions all soaked into a bun that absorbed the flavors.
