After doing the half marathon a group from my running club decided to go for brunch. A lot of people going were helping at an aid station and weren't going to be there until noon. We got there early and sat at the bar. Fred had a beer but it was too early for me so I had an oj instead.... fresh squeezed and good. Then we shared a biscuit skillet, it was a bit to heavy for me and didn't really like the asiago cheese on it. Finally our friends showed up and we went to our table for 12. All runners were given a free drink. I ordered the sangria and gave it to Fred cause it was free alcohol but I wasn't in the mood to drink. We left a little after that but there was tons of good drink specials and other dishes looked really good! It is also a really cool hang out area, lots of tvs and hipsters! read more

Food was literally amazing!!!!!! They will get my money EVERY SINGLE TIME I come to Miami !!!!

We went here after a Marlins game. I ordered the fish and chips and my partner ordered the pepperoni pizza pie. The fish and chips were bad. It was way to salty and tasted dry. The chips tasted dry as well and were hard. However, the pepperoni pizza was delicious and I don't even like pepperoni. Our waiter was very nice and service was good. But the fish and chips needs improvement. read more

We stopped here for brunch! This place was CRAZY busy!!! We enjoyed ourselves but the wait is gonna be long. The time from sitting down to getting your food is going to be just as long. The food was delicious! My only real gripe would have to be the amount of time it took to receive our food once we got inside and seated. There was plenty of TVs for me to be able to watch some march madness so I wasn't to pressed. read more

My friend and I decided to celebrate our birthdays here last Sunday with a bunch of friends. Initially we picked it because they accepted reservations and had brunch. Batch accommodated our large group with ease! There were about 20 of us and they was always bottomless mimosas and white sangria at our table. I ordered the chicken and waffles. They were fantastic! I also sampled the avocado hash, and pulled pork omelette. The only issue we had was that I ordered a side of fries and some churros that never came but that doesn't bug me too much since it was Buzzed Alexandra ordering and not normal Alexandra, lol. The game on in the background was enjoyed by all the football lovers at the table and it made the time waiting for our food pass by quickly! I've been here a few times before this, but I was really impressed with this visit. Batch is a great place to watch the game, relax, brunch, dine (dinner here is also great... the burgers!). They do it all. Also, they make a mighty tasty old fashioned! read more

Kudos to Batch Gastropub for being one of a handful of restaurants to open right after Hurricane Irma passed though Miami. They opened at 5 pm on Monday after Irma and the place was packed immediately and stayed that way until early the next morning. Staff and wait persons were tremendous - very friendly and helpful and not at all flustered by the post-Irma crowd. It's a great neighborhood burger joint with great food and friendly staff. Go and have a great burger'. read more

This is the 2nd time i've come to Batch and have enjoyed myself tremendously. It's a sports bar with a heck of a lot of TV's and a big screen projected outside. Great place to watch any sport (dolphins/ heat/ UFC/ etc.) as it will get packed. The cool thing about this place is that some of the tables actually have beer taps on them which I have not used yet because we typically are a big group - but excited to try them out when they finally open in Delray Beach in the upcoming months. The place is trendy and you will find a influx of 20-30 somethings coming in and out of the establishment. They dont have a large list for the food, but it's still pretty good - not the best though. The chicken wings... Really Good! The pizza is Good! The sliders... Really Good! The pretzel bites - ehhh! Have better... The beer... good! I was digging the bathroom - probably the most because it was actually clean but unique. The type of faucet i had never seen before - it was touchless but also had a DYSON dryer connected to it that took me a minute to figure out because... i had never seen anything like it before! And they give you mouthwash as well (in the mens bathroom that is) so if you're on a date - you get that nice fresh breath! Def. a good hot spot to swing by when your in the downtown miami/ brickell area even for a late night drink with friends! read more

After a long while sorting through the many brunch spots in Brickell, we decided to visit Batch. I was able to secure a reservation. Now, one would think with a reservation a table would be available, or at least there would be a short wait for one. Wrong! When we got there, the hostess said the only thing available was outside or at the bar and when we asked how long the wait was for a table inside she stated that every table was full and she doesn't know how long the wait would be. Definitely don't understand the purpose of a reservation, but whatever. So we decided to sit at the bar, and passed several tables that had reserved signs on it. I guess my reservation wasn't good enough? The hostess sat us in probably the worst seat at the bar. The dishwasher was right in front of us so every time the bartender would open it we would get a face full of steam. The garbage was behind us and the bussers were constantly bumping into us trying to put the dishes away. Now for the food. We ordered the Nashville hot wings, chicken and waffles, and french toast. The wings had no taste and the chicken and waffles we dry and underwhelming. The french toast, however, was amazing, which is the only reason why I'm even giving this restaurant 2 stars instead of 1. The bartender was cool, but the hostess was not welcoming or kind and left a bad taste in our mouths for the rest of the visit. read more

Came here for the first time for my best friends birthday.. "Sunday brunch" We were a large table so im wondering if that was the reason for the service kind of sucking. But either way we should have had better service. Always took a while to find our server and our food took over an hour so we were all very hangry.. we all know that feeling. Then to get the checks.. took forever as well. As far as the food I was pleased with my meal. caprese omellete but I wasnt a fan of the smoked cheese in it so I probably wouldnt order it again. One of the populer meals, mac and cheese, both my friends that ordered it didnt finish it because they didnt like it that much. crazy because they both love mac and cheese. Tried the french toast.. it was okay, came a little burnt. Mimosas were 90% orange juice. Paid parking located across the street. If I dine here again its because Im meeting friends, wouldnt be my choice of where I want to go. read more

Let's make this short and simple....came for lunch and out of all the options on lunch menu I opted for the brisket burger and added bacon and cheddar cheese, it comes with decent French fries. The place was empty completely so the service was fast and efficient. Waiter was a really cool dude and we engaged in a convo about the fight between McGregor and Mayweather since they're going to be showing it here on Saturday night. Now I know they're famous for the Mac Attack and it's supposedly one of their popular items on the menu but I wasn't in the mood, maybe next time. The brisket burger was really really good to my surprise and then juices were just flowing and oozing out of this thing. I added bacon and cheddar cheese and I'm telling this burger needed no sauce or anything else. The patty is pretty big and the whole thing is very filling with some decent French fries. The lunch menu gives you many options including the Mac Attack plus a topping of your choice, also salads, sandwiches and some big plates and the prices are not too bad. I'd definitely like to try the truffle fries and Mac Attack next time to see what the big hype is about. Other than that, the lunch brisket burger was excellent and the service was up there too. read more

We went to Batch for drinks and had the best time! This was mostly due to Sal, our server. He was knowledgeable, funny, charismatic and kind. When the drink I wanted was not available he intuitively knew exactly what I should get instead. I can't remember the drink but it was SO PERFECT! Sal knew we had already eaten dinner and encouraged us to have dessert. We told him we were thinking of the cookie skilllet but he insisted we do the bread pudding. He also already had an idea of what drinks we would want with the bread pudding. He got my boyfriend and I 2 very different drinks and they both paired perfectly with our dessert, which was amazing! Definitely get the bread pudding We could not be any happier with the excellent customer service Sal provided and our experience at Batch. We are only here in Miami for 3 days but will be back before we leave! read more

Best place for after night drinks with the girls! Amazing place they had the best drink and dj

This is a sports bar feel and is slightly too loud. However, the food was really good and they cook the burgers to your desired rawness. I do think the budget could have used a little bit of sauce if some sort though. It's a bit on the pricey side and the water has an odd taste (could just be because I'm not from Florida). The thing which really hurts this review was our server. If I hadn't seen and heard how one of her coworkers treated his table I wouldn't have known any better. He brought water with ice, made suggestions, talked about the menu, stayed to answer questions, and smiled. On the other hand, our server wasn't happy to be there, didn't offer any suggestions, and didn't bring water with ice, and was barely around to ask any questions. I understand some customers are brats, but as a server, you should always start off exceptional with a newly seated table! read more

Bad spot overall no AC during the hottest time in Miami July and August to make it worse full capacity which made it even hotter the food was terrible I had the nachos and when I asked for guacamole the waiter had the nerve to say we aren't a Mexican restaurant lol I get that it's not a Mexican restaurant but if you have nachos on your menu that seems like a pretty standard request. read more

Batch is a unique spot for the Brickell area that has become a go-to for my friends and I watching soccer. It's great because you can easily make a reservation online and know that you'll have a table upon arrival as long as 75% of your party is there within 15 minutes. Know that it's a "gastropub" and not a sports bar, so food is going to be a bit pricier and a step above chicken wings and fries. My favorite order is by far the Mac Attack, which is gnocchi mac with aged gruyere cheese and Dorito dust. I usually split with someone and add on chicken to give it more substance. Truffle fries are also really tasty. During happy hour which runs from 5-8pm, they have some food items on special for $5 and $8, along with drinks. The bar is extensive and I usually go with beer, but have also tried some cocktails. Besides that, they have lots of events and specials throughout the week like Taco Tuesday and Whiskey & Wine Wednesday. It's worth following them on social media to see what's happening. Side note: I was a little disappointed on my last visit when we were seated at a booth and there was a strong smell of, to be blunt, vomit. We let someone know that came by to check on us and he brushed it off, not acknowledging our request to move. That was one out of a handful of visits that was displeasing, so I'll give 'em another shot. read more

I was attending an HR seminar and this place was next to the hotel and it was convenient. The place was somewhat empty and we went right ahead and sat down, there was no hostess at the front, no problem, I usually just sit down when I don't see one. It took a bit for someone to acknowledge us, but once they did, they were fast, friendly and courteous, recommended several plates and it was a good experience. First thing is first, checked into yelp and the neat thing about checking in, this place has everyday freebies if you do. I went on a Thursday, so hey, I got myself a free beer #winningalready For food, we ordered some appetizers, Truffle Spinach and Artichoke Dip, It was tasty, but a bit greasy, the chips well a bit stale but overall edible. For the main dish, I odered the blackened grouper, it was decent, it was not fishy and the portion was good. Of course, couldn't leave without desert and a good expresso, their expresso machine was new and the waiter felt it was not good quality and he gave it to me for free, that was a plus and loved the fact that they took initiative, even though I felt the coffee was good. Now for dessert, we ordered this yummy ice cream cake with reesee pieces and it was heaven on a plate, great portion, great to share at least with 4 people, I left full and satisfied. I would love to try this place out for dinner and see how it is at night, read more

Was there just about 2 hours ago and I was so impressed I had to review this place right away... Went there for a promotional event where your first drink during Happy Hour was for free however, you stay waaaaaaaaaay past that first drink because the food, ambiance, drinks, and service are phenomenal! They had live music so we sat closer to the outside main entrance. Beautiful evening and great live music to accompany it. Our server, Connie, was in one word, perfection. She was quick, attentive, courteous, knowledgeable, and very personable. She recommended great food items and everything we had was awesome - margarita pizza, pretzel bites, red pepper Hummus, and truffle fries.... Soooooo good! The wine, which I was really surprised, was excellent. I was prepared for something mediocre being that I was ordering wine at a place that clearly specializes in custom cocktails and beers but no, it was freaking great! Very, very, impressed. The service was just so great. I'm so sick of going to hipster bars where everyone working there acts like you should be thankful you're being served! Here is one great example of how attentive this staff is.... I went to the bar before leaving to get a cup of water in a "to go" cup. I wasn't sitting at the bar nor was I able to make my way to the front. I was just sort of to the side and IMMEDIATELY a bartender looked my way, acknowledged me, and asked me what I wanted. While I was waiting for my water, our waitress,Connie, saw us and asked if we needed anything, and before she could finish asking, I had yet another bartender asking if I was being helped.... What the f**k? Am I still in Miami Toto? When does this ever happen at a crowded bar? Oh, yeah, NEVER! Unless you're here! By the time we left, I'm sure patrons were happy to see us leave because the place was getting packed and we were seated at a prime spot! I will definitely be back. Great little gem in Brickell and I hope it has a longer shelf life than most places in this area. Oh, and one more thing.... The bathroom is crazy. You can literally chop your hands off and still go to the bathroom because everything from the toilets, the door, the sink, and the dryers are hands free. Something I really appreciate during this horrible flu season! Give this place a shot... You won't regret it! read more

Love this gastro pub. It has funky bites and your traditional bar food. Some of my favorites are the pretzel bites $5 on happy hour (they are baked and not oily) the chicken fingers were delicious lots of white meat and easy on the bread crumbs so you really get more meat rather than all carbs. We went there on a Thursday night and they had a DJ! He was spinning an assortment of old school and new school music. This gastro pub also has one of our favorite wines, of course I wish it wasn't over $100 but it's the price you pay for the high end fruit. Our servers have always been delightful and make us feel very welcomed: if your beer or cocktail person they have some choices for you too. It's a low key spot with an everyday vibe, people from corporate with their ties and suits to Hialeah road workers can be found here! It's like the neighborhood cheers bar! read more

This place must serve the best burger in Miami! I had the brisket/short rib burger with both truffle fries and onion rings: excellent. Pulled Pork Sandwich..... The meat alone was delicious and bartender service was great.

I am beyond excited about all the new restaurants slowly emerging in Miami, Florida. Specially, restaurants that are catering to the nocturnal lifestyle. You know, sometimes we work until late and we still want to enjoy a nice dinner. I did a yelp search of restaurants that were open around midnight. I came across Batch, apparently their kitchen is open until 5 a.m. Let's hope we-the-patrons can help them with the business so that they can continue to do this forever! What I had: Mac-attack, I believe it was gnocchi with a creamy white cheese sauce. Quite amazing. (I dedicate this dish to my vegetarians). What my date had: the burger on the late night menu. Okay, this burger tasted like a burger you would have right off the grill at a backyard BBQ ... you know when you've been drinking and it taste absolutely amazing to put food in your mouth. That kind of experience. Yelp Check-in: When you check in you get a flight sample. The itty-bitty sample of beer to see if your taste buds are ready for the pint... you know? The ambience: very chic, great music at a decent level where you can still speak to whoever you came with. You can seat and have dinner or hang out at the bar and mingle. Coolest thing here: They're not in use yet, but they are going to beginning using the already installed taps at your booth. For example, you're seating at your booth about to have dinner...instead of waiting for you server to bring you your drinks, you can pour your own glasses of sangria, beer, wine... right from your tap at the table. Genius! Booze on!! read more

Another winning visit to Batch for Sunday brunch. The menu is short and sweet but who needs tons of options when you have several good choices. It would be nice to have some optional sides listed, you know, like grits or hash browns. The macadamia nut pancakes are awesome. I've had so many bad pancake experiences in Miami, as well as some amazing ones (Khong River House, 660 and Eating House, in that order). These pancakes are right up there. Huge, fluffy, moist, with loads of whole nuts, sliced fresh bananas, strawberries and coconut syrup on the side. I finished the entire plate. The spinach and goat cheese frittata was delicious as well. Fluffy, topped with fresh baby spinach. A little on the wet side but we like our eggs that way. It's great for sharing but this is one of the dishes where it would be nice to have a side or two, otherwise you're just eating eggs with cheese. Last but not least, don't expect to see and be seen here. There is not much of a scene, just a nice laid back brunch spot off the beaten path in Brickell. They do have $20 bottomless sangria to go along with brunch and their full regular cocktail and beer menu. read more

This is my favorite spot in Brickell to watch sports games. It's nice to walk into a restaurant with a nice casual atmosphere with an awesome menu selection. The food is good and reasonably priced. The beer selection is wonderful. I usually go with the Brooklyn Brown. A nice toasty dark beer. They have a lunch special which gets you a soup or salad, entree, and a cookie for $15 which is fantastic! I have a soft spot for cookies, especially their giant chunky chewy chocolate chip droplets from heaven. The burgers here are nice, big, and juicy! I tried the mahi and it wasn't that great. It was very dry. The flavor was good though. Their fries could be better as well. They remind me of Burger King fries. I have yet to try the Mac attack which I heard was great. read more

I have followed the owners of Batch Gastropub since stumbling across their location one afternoon while walking around the downtown Brickell area. After they explained their concept of what they were about to embark. I was instantly hooked on their concept. Kevin Danillo and Jerry Flynn are the kind of owners that the Miami area needs. Not only are they there from open to close. But they always make sure to come up to customers to see how they are doing, if they need anything and also make suggestions on something new to try. The bar has a layout that just flows perfectly from the moment you walk in till you finish the usual bar walk around to get a lay of the land so to speak. Batch definitely raised the bar when it comes to sitting at a table with friends and family. Having automated tap systems at the tables allow for people to spend more quality time together. They idea of having 4 types of libations delivered instantly to the table is just pure brilliance. The staff is by far one of the best groups of individuals I have come across in all of downtown Miami. Whether it's the hostess' up front greeting you with a huge smile and hello. To the bartenders that are always up beat, personable, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to all of drinks they have to serve. They also seem to remember what patrons enjoy drinking. I know that over last few visits I have had to Batch, the moment I walked in. I was immediately recognized and had a drink waiting for me before I even had a chance to sit down. The menu is a very unique and eclectic with something for everyone. My personal favorites are the margarita pizza with prosciutto, the pretzel bites and the truffle salt & truffle cheese fries. The have taken the traditional bar staples and kicked them up several notches. Recently Batch has started a weekly special that I have attended several times and have never been disappointed. The Tuesday night steak night is bar far one of the best specials going. Three top notch cuts of steak, choice of a salad and two glasses of wine, beer or whiskey is hands down the perfect meal. My favorite is the Pittsburgh style rib eye medium with either the carrot mash or crispy Brussels sprouts paired with a nice Malbec. If you happen to be a huge sports fan, Batch will not disappoint. The bar has flat screens all of the place so no matter where your looking you will never miss a moment of your favorite team playing. I highly recommend watching games on their huge projection wall. Great spot for pre and post game celebrating. They are minutes to and from to Marlins Park and The American Airlines Arena. If you haven't made you way down to Batch Gastropub, stop reading this review and get down there. You will see what I'm talking about. Tell them Nelson sent you. read more

Solid place to catch a game. They have numerous TVs with different games on. They have 1 big projected screen in the back & another one outside. Overall, great place to watch a game, but could use some improvement with draught beer selection in my opinion. read more

My experience with Batch Gastropub was bittersweet, but overall positive. We made reservations via OpenTable and we were seated quickly at a wonderful corner table with beer taps in the center. I had never seen this before and I thought it was a really nice touch, added bonus: they work! (yes, you have to pay). Our server was very pleasant, but it seemed like he was overworked with the game crowd. There were quite a few people around due to the Rose Bowl on TV, and he was running around nonstop from table to table trying his best to take care of everyone. It took slightly over an hour for us to receive the food we ordered, which is quite a long time, and it caused some problems for us and a show we were trying to catch at the Adrian Arsht Center. We were informed, at approximately the ~50 minute mark, that there was a backup in the kitchen and we were given a round of "gingerbread" shots to make up for the wait. This was a very nice touch from a customer service standpoint, but given the time it took for communication and our tight schedule, it still caused problems for us (we arrived at Batch at 5:30 pm, and the show was at 7:30 pm, unfortunately we arrived 15 minutes late). On the positive side, the food was wonderful! I ordered the Divine Swine pizza and a New Fashioned. I decided to add Pork Belly to the Divine Swine to round out the heavenly mix of Prosciutto, Bacon, Chorizo, Spicy Salami and Asiago cheese. The portion was huge and I took half home for a late night snack. A+ on the pizza Batch! The New Fashioned is a twist on the classic Old Fashioned, but with Mandarin Napoleon Cognac. This definitely changed the flavor profile of the Bourbon, but I enjoyed it very much! Two people at my table ordered the 'Mac Attack' Gnocchi Macaroni. They enjoyed their dishes, but their only real complaint was that they felt, for the price, there was not enough pasta for the dish. A suggestion I would leave is to perhaps include some bread slices with the dish to soak up/eat the cheese at the end without having to add more Gnocchi. This was the first time I have ever seen one of my friends finish her whole dish and still be hungry, she typically takes 50-75% home. I would like to reiterate that the taste of the Mac was amazing, the Gruyere was such a great choice, it was just the portion size that was a problem. Since we were in a rush we did not get to try dessert, but there were many positive reviews of the Key Lime, so we would definitely like to come back and try. Given all the 4-5 star reviews for Batch, I think we may have had a fluke experience, it being January 1st and the Rose Bowl. I look forward to returning sometime in the future for another go at Batch. I still have high hopes, it was a great experience soured only by slow times and a rushed schedule. read more
