Pictures with descriptions show the many issues. Reasonable Remodels proposed to: "Straighten any uneven tile edges Level any tiles that are too high or low Properly seal the shower handle plate Replace the pedestal sink with the correct unit" Reasonable Remodels replied to our list of issues: "We're a small operation--not a large company with endless resources--but that's also reflected in our pricing." Their proposal to straighten uneven tile edges and level tiles too high or too low was not sufficient. The shower walls and bathroom floor tiles needed to be demolished and completely redone. We decided NOT to have Reasonable Remodels attempt any rework. The quality of their initial work did not merit them performing any other work on our property.

Our mistake was we did not check reviews & John did to us what he did to Barry P. among others here in Yelp. John insisted on a cash deposit & took our money without doing the work. John also asked us to setup our final city permit inspection ahead of time then demanded over $2700+ for our relatively simple electrical work days before the inspection. In disgust toward John's extortion attempt, we hired another electrician to do the work instead who only charged $450 for everything. We reported John/Peak Electrical to the CSLB for malpractice. They have warned Peak Electrical that there will be "more severe administrative action" if further reports are received. Our complaint number with CSLB is NA2020011489 as reference.

We are now dealing with ongoing issues with the manufacturer regarding reimbursement for an identical replacement water heater. Communication during this process was poor, and we felt blamed for the issue rather than supported. In a text message exchange following the service, we were told we should "hire some other plumber" going forward and were referred to as "clowns." Screenshots of this exchange are available. Given our prior history with the company having done 2 water heaters and multiple plumbing repairs over $5000,, the handling of this situation and the tone of communication felt unprofessional. Replaced the water tank (10+ years old which has water leaking signs already) on the same day. Two technicians came to install it from 4pm-ish to 8pm-ish and did an excellent job.
