The carpet arrived in less that a week, which I found incredibly fast given things are still very slow due to C-19. Jay was very accommodating in scheduling the install, even agreed to do it on a Saturday. The 4 man install team did a great job. We used them for a semi-flip in Antioch. The flooring they showed us originally in the showroom changed when we went back to sign everything and secure the install. We were on a time crunch so went along with the material and installation. The guys came by on time, got things done in a timely fashion. The price is right no issue you there - the quality of work on the other hand was not. I got an in home estimate a few days ago from Peter. He was really friendly and very thorough. He didn't try to pressure me and was very personable. I did feel terrible for him that he was working on the 4th of July. When I spoke with Jay, he insisted that they come that day even though I told him it was totally fine to pick another day so he doesn't have to work. He sent his employee anyway. He took the measurements and said Jay would call me in a few days with an estimate. About an hour later, I got a call from Jay with the estimate. They were early! He gave me the total and said he could give me a $280 discount that was only good for 24 hours. I told him I wouldn't get back to him by that time because I'm still getting estimates. He then proceeded to try to make me feel bad for him because he worked on 4th of July. I told him I was ok with him not coming that day! I then asked him if he had anything cheaper than the samples Peter brought. He said he did but it's terrible and I wouldn't like it. Why does he sell carpet that is terrible then? He said the carpet is the one that flippers and realtors use. Apparently, Mike Fuller (whoever that is, maybe another realtor?) uses this carpet so I should use it too. Didn't like to sales tactics and did not like that Jay made his employees work on a national observed holiday when he didn't have to. read more

We have used Jay (the owner of Carpets 4 Less )3 times over the past 7 years. We can't say enough about the excellent work that his crew does. We had them re-do our entire 2900 square foot home in Clayton before selling our house. They did both laminate floors and carpet throughout. They are very experienced not only in they're finished work, but also how they move all of the furniture necessary to get the flooring done. After we moved, we've had them come 3 separate times to do laminate floors throughout our home we moved into 6 years ago. The 2 biggest projects were our master bedroom, kitchen, family room and living room. It was a big project. Both days they showed up on time and worked all day from 8:30-5:00. They also replaced all of our floorboards. Each of his workers had a job to do and they worked great as a team. Jay's prices were also much lower than the floor store Lowe's and HomeDepot. You never know what kind of quality work your going to get (especially with Home Depot or Lowe's. The installers that work at Carpets for Less are extremely professional and take pride in their work. They even took apart our Cal King headboard and frame to install the new flooring in our master bedroom. Not only did they put it back together, but they also hooked up our cable TV and made sure it was working before they left. When we had them come back for the rest of the house, they did the same. They even put thins back on top of our 2 hutches that I couldn't reach to do myself without a ladder. I highly recommend Carpets 4 Less for any flooring needs. The other thing we were able to get was a laminate floor with a vinyl coating. So if your pet wets on it or you spill something on it it won't warp like our old pergo floor did. If I could give zero I would. Buyer beware. These guys are shady at best. I was trying to understand their breakdown of cost on our quote and my first question was simple. What was sq footage you used in order to calculate total cost. I was told that unless I gave them money down they would not release this info. What? In addition, they had the product we wanted marked at different cost then they quoted us. When I questioned them on this, they denied it. The carpets in my 27 year old home were way beyond worn out and in need of replacement. New carpets are a major expense and something you are going to have to live with for a long time, you want to make sure you make the right decision. I had an idea what I wanted and a recommended brand but was far from making a decision. I found Carpets 4 Less, Antioch on line and paid them a visit. I met Jay and right away he explained what Carpets 4 Less had to offer; brands, quality, grades, styles, costs and company experience. He also carefully explained the benefits and weakness of the different types of carpets and grades. He asked about my interest, lifestyle, and what I expected from a floor covering. He knows his business, he quickly steered me to the quality and grade of carpet that would suit my needs best. I like to buy quality so when I found a carpet I liked I opted for the up grade version. Jay once again asked about my home, life style, and what challenges the carpet would experience. He then suggested I could get the up grade version if I wanted but I did not need to spend the money for the up grade. In my home the carpet would not be exposed to that much much abuse and the mid grade would be more than adequate. His recomendation saved me hundreds of dollars. Peter, Jay's assistant came out and measured my home, very carefully checking every room, closet and space that I could be carpeted. Jay pointed out he coud measure to use less carpet [less cost] but for a quality install all the carpet should run in the same direction and as much as possible seems should avoid high traffic areas. I went with the better install. I also asked for several unusual special requests relating to the carpet and install that were immediately granted. Later Jay called with the estimate and much to my surprise it was very close to his rough estimate the first time we met, inspite of the extras. On install day three carpet layers arrived a few minutes before 9 a.m. and immediately went to work. The new carpet was in and home was back to normal before 4 p.m. The carpet looks great my home looks wonderful! Twice in the month since the carpet was installed neighbors have had carpet cleaners clean their carpets both times I have asked the cleaners to give me a ball park estimate for cleaning the carpets in the future. Both have stated I bought a had quality carpet that was installed properly. If I need carpets in the future I will use Carpets 4 Less and will recommend them to friends and others. read more

I absolutely love my new flooring! This was what I consider to be a huge job. I had ugly ceramic tile floors in the entry, hallway, kitchen, guest bathroom alcove, living and dining rooms. The tile was replaced with laminate flooring from Carpets 4 Less. The installers were amazing, only taking 72 hours to remove the tile and lay the laminate. It was a messy job as the putty underneath the tile had to be scraped up. The installer sent over two women to clean up the mess! How nice was that??
