Dr. Bush is a genius, and a very calm, steady figure, especially as the head of your IVF plan, as he was for ours. We came to Conceptions after years of infertility and recurrent miscarriages. After all the initial testing we decided to go with IVF as the success rates are very high here at conceptions. I almost didn't go through with IVF as the cost, stress of going through the process, and fear of it not working really weighed on me. Luckily, I didn't let that all stop me, so we went through the egg retrieval process. Dr. Chiang did my egg retrieval and I had pretty much no pain post OP - it went so much smoother than I could have imagined. (I was really afraid of having the retrieval and let horror stories on line scare me - lol!) Everyone was so kind and reassuring before and after the procedure. We had great success creating embryos, and after the first embryo transfer failed, Dr. Bush personally made sure he was there to do the trial transfer prior to the real one. He assured me the next transfer was going to work - and guess what - it did! We had a successful pregnancy and birth and the whole team - from IVF to transfers - made our dream of a family come true. I am so glad I came to Conceptions to go through IVF. I want to add that some people leaving reviews say they never saw the doctor but once or twice. While this may be true, please know that the doctors are working hard behind the scenes even when you're not meeting with them. They are creating your specially tailored protocol, going over your bloodwork and results, and making sure you are being taken care of. The IVF and transfer teams relay any messages from the doctors and are just as hard working too. Everybody at this clinic cares about you and your success. I have never had positive experiences with healthcare providers until I came to Conceptions. They make sure that you have the tools you need to have a successful IVF or transfer cycle, even when it feels so hard to go through. The doctors, the front desk staff, the nurses, the phlebotomists, the embryologist team, the ultrasound technicians, and even the billing department and financial coordinators all are kind, understanding, and thoughtful when communicating with you. I would choose Conceptions over and over again - they are truly a world class IVF clinic and I feel extremely lucky to have happened to live nearby and go through one of life's toughest medical treatments with these amazing medical professionals. As with the first IUI, it involved very little medication. We are very thankful and blessed. Again, my Conceptions fertility doctor (Dr O'Shaughnessy) told me my eggs were no good and I wouldn't be able to conceive with my own eggs, but I really think she's full of sh*. UPDATE: // TLDR Conceptions advised against IUI, which is the procedure we wanted to undergo. They gave no legitimate reason, and I doubt the doctor even reviewed my previous records as she said she would. I had 2 failed IVF protocols here, the first one of which was an improper protocol (by the doctor's own words). I was told my eggs were no good and I needed an egg donor ($55K+), but I went to my original clinic in Arizona and got pregnant on first attempt with IUI with minimal medication compared to IVF. 2 MONTHS LATER. We are now the proud parents of a healthy, beautiful baby girl. This clinic definitely feels like a cash grab and I'm convinced the doctor we had is full of s*** and primarily motivated by money not results. IUI costs maybe $1K vs IVF which is about $10K-20K for most people, even with insurance.

She didn't know the position of my baby. She said he was LOA. Really, he was asynclitic posterior. She had me pushing for so long that my cervix was so swollen and when I transferred, I was 6 cm. They don't know if I got to 10 but I pushed for 3 hours at home. At home, I kept telling Gina something was wrong. All I wanted to do was be on my hands and knees. She kept wrapping a blanket around me and forcing me up to "engage the baby." When I told her I was going to pass out, she put on oxygen on me and left the room. She did not turn on the oxygen tank. When I told her I wanted to transfer to the hospital, she didn't take me to the facility in my birth plan. I later learned it was because she had just taken a client to that facility so she drove me farther to a different hospital. I felt such immense pain- I later learned it was because my bladder prolapsed from pushing for so long at home. Gina kept saying she could see the head, but I didn't feel it. It's because she was seeing my bladder, which the hospital instantly recognized. Getting my bladder moved to get a catheter was an agonizing process. I was GBS+. I was a primip. I was 42+1. I was only 6 cm. There was thick meconium. The baby was asynclitic posterior. I required an emergency c section for prolonged late decelerations. My baby had to be resuscitated. My care at the hospital was delayed. Why? Because Gina refused to transfer my records so I had to slowly, painstakingly tell my history between contractions with a prolapsed bladder. Since she refuses to transfer my records, I was drug tested and the baby was drug tested because it was as if I had just come off the street with no prenatal care to have a baby. I filed a complaint with the state. Gina was found guilty of negligence. She fled town and moved up to Denver. She changes practices every couple years. She disables reviews on every midwifery pages she's been involved in because of my child's story.

I originally began seeing Laura Sweeney, who was decent. When she became unavailable, I was pushed to Mallory Brown -- and that's when everything fell apart. Mallory is dismissive, unresponsive, lacks any sense of urgency, and has absolutely no compassion or attentiveness for her patients. She doesn't listen, doesn't return calls, and seems more interested in brushing off concerns than addressing them. Here's the reality: I first visited in April 2025 for abnormal menstrual spotting -- something completely unusual for me. I expressed my concern and was immediately told to "wait it out" because it could be perimenopause. Despite mentioning hair loss and other alarming changes, she dismissed me outright. Instead of listening or wanting to understand my medical history, she suggested a pregnancy test. That was the first red flag. Months passed. My cycle became lighter, then suddenly in late August, everything worsened -- intense pain, excessive bleeding, and large clots. I scheduled multiple appointments, each time being told the same dismissive things and repeatedly being asked to take yet another pregnancy test. By September, I was bleeding heavily every day, going through multiple boxes of pads, and begging for real answers. I asked for a full hormonal panel, and she questioned why I would even want that. She finally ordered some blood work -- but not what I requested -- and when my hemoglobin levels came back dangerously low, she said she wasn't concerned. Instead, she tried to push birth control, still without understanding or diagnosing the root cause of my bleeding. Even after I reminded her of my previous fibroid and C-section, she ignored that context. She eventually ordered an ultrasound, which was "unclear," and then an MRI -- but the entire process was delayed because the office couldn't manage my insurance transition properly. By the time I finally got the MRI on October 11th, I ended up in the ER the very next day, one point away from needing a blood transfusion, and also diagnosed with pneumonia in my right lung. To make matters worse, when the MRI results came in, she called me once -- I missed the call by a minute. I immediately called back, left multiple messages over several days, and she never returned my call. Each time I followed up, I was told she was "with a patient" or "at another facility". Only after I completely lost my patience did she finally call -- with zero accountability, little urgency to get me seen, and no acknowledgement of how dire my condition had become.

She came over after I had gone into labor and helped us stay home as long as possible before transitioning to the hospital, where she further assisted me in laboring for several more hours without pain meds before it became obvious that things had become stalled and I needed an epidural. After that point she easily guided the transition to later stages and made suggestions to the care team that almost certainly helped me avoid a c-section. After going through this I can see how easy it would be to have a really scary and traumatic birth experience, but with Merrie by my side it was super empowering and positive.
