I cannot say enough good things about Lone Tree OB/GYN. From start to finish, the experience was truly excellent. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Everyone took the time to communicate clearly, answer questions, and make sure I felt informed and at ease every step of the way. The office itself is clean, comfortable, and well organized, which immediately set a calming tone. I never felt rushed, and the level of care felt genuinely thoughtful and patient-centered. I especially want to highlight Amanda Roy, WHNP. She was absolutely wonderful, extremely attentive, compassionate, and thorough. I love this office! The staff are amazing, compassionate, understanding and supportive of your wants/needs. I went through my second pregnancy with them and they far surpassed my expectations empowering me to have the most home birth in a hospital setting that I could've asked for. They were diligent and detailed handling all of my concerns at every visit. I never felt talked over, rushed or lulled into just doing what they thought was best. The girl who took our Ultrasound was very rushed and didn't even check to see our baby's heart beat and was very rude to my pregnant wife . Her name was Virgina Miller , Couldn't describe how rushed we felt . This is our first time doing the ultrasound wanted it to be a perfect experience it was not . Hopefully she is not like this with expecting parents. read more

I could not recommend this practice more. I've had encounters with both Dr. Furr, and some incredible midwives at this practice. I have extreme anxiety when in comes to gynecology appointments. However, I have always been comforted by the front desk, nurses, and providers. The providers make me feel heard, taken care of, and safe. As a provider myself, I recommend all of my patients to come here for their on/gyn care. read more

My gosh, I've never had a more positive experience at a medical office. Every staff member, from front desk to exam room, was kind, welcoming, non-judgemental, and GREAT at what they do! Kathy Loebel put me at ease from the beginning, reiterating that she is here for me and was dilligent in listening to my story and explaining her thoughts/recommendations. Found this practice on a whim when I was pregnant with my first and just had my second with Lone Tree OBGYN in November. I highly recommend Rachel and Amy, both listen to your desires for birth and work towards that goal with you. Rachel was my primary provider and thankfully was on-call when it came time to have the baby and what an absolutely incredible experience it was. Julie the Medical Assistant is the sweetest lady with such a peaceful and encouraging spirit I always looked forward to seeing her. Dr. Furr is also incredible, he has been very helpful and informative during pregnancies and miscarriage, great bedside manner and truly cares about his patients. Forever thankful for this group. I often joke with my husband that I'd have more babies if it meant I got to work with Rachel and Julie again. read more

I. Love. This. Office. I transferred to this OB at 24 weeks pregnant or so bc the other OB wasn't friendly when it came to me making choices for my own body. I heard of this doc from a friend and they raved about everyone so I said okay I'll try it out. EVERYONE has been so nice. Not a single rude person in either office. Sometimes the wait gets long but that happens at all doctors offices. For the most part I'm seen on time and out quickly. I've met with midwives, Dr Furr, and the nurses, and honestly can say I've never felt more comfortable or welcome... anywhere. Midwives are honest and will say if they disagree with you, which I welcome, but also say they support my decision for my body and my family (like skipping the flu shot). You are not bullied or harassed or treated differently for anything. They are funny, kind, and a wonderful group of people. Which is ofd because normally you get one bad seed but so far I haven't experienced that. I have been trying to log into yelp to leaves reviews for over a year and can't but taking the time to figure that out just to post this review. Wow. I had such an amazing experience today at lone tree OB/GYN. I saw Lauren for my annual pap, and she was amazing. I've never had a pap before as I've experienced sexual trauma and have always been too scared. I let the doctor know this, and she was so patient and gentle with me. She walked me through every single step, let me know what I would be feeling, gave me options, etc... I'll be going here in the future for all of my lady needs! Highly recommend for anyone that has experienced sexual trauma or just want a doctor that will actually LISTEN to them! read more

After another practice with midwives stopped delivering at Castle Rock Adventist, I had to switch providers mid-pregnancy (I really wanted to work with midwives). I'm happy I made the switch! They have offices in Castle Rock and Lone Tree which was super convenient for me. I saw the midwives for my pregnancy - mostly Amy at the Castle Rock office, who was very helpful at easing all of my first time mom anxieties :-) Mary Chambers delivered my baby, which I was able to do without any meds. She worked wonderfully with my doula and the nurses at the hospital, and I felt confident and empowered throughout the labor process with her guidance. I couldn't have had a better birth experience. Overall a fantastic practice - highly recommend! read more

I had a truly terrible experience with this office and was extremely disappointed in the patient care. I was referred here by my PCP so admittedly I didn't do very much research on this office but decided to give it a shot. I went in for my confirmation of pregnancy appointment on a Thursday, had my blood drawn, hormone levels were really low so doctor Burgess wanted me to get my blood drawn again the following Monday because of possible miscarriage. I was told I would be called Tuesday morning at the latest to confirm everything was moving along as it should in the pregnancy. No call so I call in around noon get the answering service because the office is closed for lunch, told to call back at 1, no problem. Call back at 1:10 answering service again, "they should be back any minute keep calling back", call back at 1:30 "they're not getting back until 2 call back then". Finally get through but have to leave a VM. Call back again and get a nurse who told me she couldn't find my test results and confirmed with me twice that they actually drew my blood at the previous appointment. Nurse tells me to go in again the following day (Wed.) for another blood draw because they had my results from Monday but not Thursday so they couldn't compare my hormone levels. Dr. Burgess then calls about an hour later, my results had reappeared apparently because she told me I had a missed miscarriage. My husband and I were crushed but knew this was possible in early pregnancy. Dr. Burgess was very kind and took the time to explain and talk with me about what to expect. She told me to come in Thursday for an ultrasound to confirm loss of pregnancy. Thursday I go in and there is a heartbeat, YAY! I am then put on Progesterone because my hormones were still low. Friday morning I wake up to bleeding and cramping I call as soon as the office opens and she tells me to go get my blood drawn again and that she will rush it so I will get a call with the results by the afternoon. Get blood drawn, 2:00, 3:00, 4:00 rolls around no call. I call and get the answering service she transfers me to the on call nurse Sue. As soon as she picked up the phone I felt like I was disturbing her Friday night plans. She was rude, short, and obviously frustrated that I was calling for lab results. She told me she didn't have them and to call back in an hour. I call back at 5:00 "I still haven't heard from them call back in 30 minutes". call back at 5:30 "I can't even find that you went into the lab" basically asked me why is this so important? I explained that I was scared I was having a miscarriage because of bleeding, cramping and low progesterone levels but that I wanted to know because I was also told that the progesterone I was taking would prolong a miscarriage so I needed to know if I should still be taking it. "Oh ya sounds like you're having a miscarriage, expect your symptoms to progress over the weekend, there's nothing we can do to stop it, lots of women go through this" then basically, ok bye! Again we're crushed. My pregnancy symptoms were progressing though so I felt like either my body was confused or I was still pregnant. I made the decision to go to another office, and everything looked great. Baby is strong and healthy. I'm not irritated with Dr. Burgess or even about the fact that I was told I was miscarrying twice because my symptoms were all over the place and I was even convinced I was having a miscarriage. I am more so disappointed and upset with the way I was treated and the lack of organization within this office. I felt like when I called in on that Friday I was being a nuisance because of the way I responded to by the staff. I had been through an emotional rollercoaster had to go a week to find out if I even still had a baby and even in spite of that I wasn't treated with any sensitivity or professionalism. It seems that no one really communicates with each other and no one was on the same page. I understand miscarriages are common and that in their line of work they most likely see them often however, this was my first experience I was scared, emotional and confused but was treated with no decency. Oh and I FINALLY got a follow up call after I cancelled my appointment i had previously scheduled and said I was moving to another office. They had no urgency in telling me what was going on with my body but as soon as they found out they were losing my business I got a call within the hour about why I was leaving. That tells you all you need to know about their priorities. I would never refer this office to anyone. read more

Note: the location of this office has changed. I really wanted to like this place. My visit was pleasant. However, I was charged for testing that I never ordered/was never informed of. For a $700 test. When I tried to get information on this, I was told that this happens often and is the fault of the testing company. This is untrue. They also initially said that they ordered the tests because I had been "complaining" of bacteria. This is a lie, since I had zero symptoms of anything to report whatsoever. Then, much later, they bring up my interest in an IUD and tried to use my interest as justification for ordering the tests. (I had admitted that it was a possibility, but wanted to know potential costs involved before any actions were taken). Three months later I'm still fighting the charges. And, until recent, it's been difficult to reach anyone within the office (they wouldn't return my calls). I talked to the midwife for the exam (she wasn't in the room for the exam--an intern conducted it) today and she was very defiant and even resorted to saying "freaking ..." when relaying a story about how this has happened to her and it is just part of the medical world. She even told me that "I doubt you'll actually take this to an attorney ..." And that I'll simply be sent to collections. All scare tactics. Please, please save yourself the headache and research ob/gyn offices and take reviews seriously. I learned that lesson the hard way. read more

The whole office seemed cluttered and very unorganized. Neither the doctor or the assistant were able to find bandaids (seems simple enough). The small procedure I had done went okay but nothing was organized before the doctor started and it seemed as if they were scrambling in the middle of it to find various things. It was an awful patient experience in many ways especially when the doctor didn't even tell me what he was doing throughout, I was just left in the dark and he seemed rushed. I don't understand why you'd rush any procedure. The only reason for my second star is the I did get the procedure done successfully and the midwives here were great with the small encounters I had with them. Overall, would not recommend this office. It's a bad sign when you walk in and things seem cluttered and disorganized from the start and it only got worse from there. read more

I was sold when I called for the first time and got a big "congratulations! Let's get you all set up and in for your first appointment". Such a great group of people and I really feel like they take the time to answer any questions I had as a first time mom. Lone Tree's Pellet Treatment is no Panacea. I was concerned by my low energy level and my inability to lose weight. When I learned that Lone Tree OBGYN offered treatment that purported to get your hormones back to a healthy level, help you feel better, and enable you to lose weight. I was excited by the prospect of getting a mental and physical boost. I had ambitions of working out more, being healthier, and getting back into my old suit pants. I went in for tests. The tech told me that I was going to feel amazing. I told her amazing would be just fine. When my tests came back, Lone Tree assured me I was a good candidate for the treatment. When I came in I saw Ms. Barbara VanDersarl Slocum. Ms. Slocum had me recline on a table as she applied a local anesthetic and placed hormone pellets under the skin of my hip. Afterwards, Ms. Slocum told me I needed to be vigilant for radical changes in mentation. She said I could find myself crying my eyes out over a Hallmark movie, or be overcome by anger, commonly referred to as "roid rage." If I experienced either extreme, Lone Tree would adjust my dosage. On the way out, I was relieved of $750, for the non-FDA approved procedure, which is not covered by insurance. I went home and waited for the magic. In a week, I found that I had not experienced any wild mood swings. Had not been drawn into any TV romances, nor threatened to beat anyone up, in fact, I hadn't felt anything. I had continued to diet but hadn't lost any weight. I emailed Lone Tree and explained I hadn't seen any results. I got a call from someone at Lone Tree who told me it was too early to make a judgment and asked me to be patient. Lone Tree scheduled a follow up appointment, and I continued to wait for something to happen. On my appointment date I called before going in and reiterated that I had experienced no improvement. Ms. Slocum called back and advised that Lone Tree would not be able to give me a "bump" in my treatment until after my test results. Then she told me I had waited too long to get my blood work, which puzzled me, as Lone Tree had set the appointment, not me. I was polite and didn't argue about my "tardiness." Soon after I started calling to learn if there was a plan for my treatment. When I reached Ms. Slocum, she advised that my tests were back, and my hormone levels were great!" I told her I didn't feel "great," and she said my failure to benefit from the treatment probably had to do with another medication I take, a medication Lone Tree knew about before telling me I was a candidate for the procedure. I was polite and didn't dwell on Lone Tree's advance knowledge. Ms. Slocum again mentioned how "late" I was in the treatment, but I saw no benefit in reminding her that Lone Tree was doing the scheduling not me. I let it go. Doing my best to keep the frustration out of my voice, I said that regardless of what her tests showed, I didn't feel any different. Ms. Slocum responded by telling me that the treatment is not a "panacea," and that people often "don't realize how good they feel until the treatment wears off." She went on to say that "if I decided to continue with the therapy........" Always a gentleman, I resisted the temptation to tell her that "if I decided to continue the therapy I would have to be an idiot." The loss of $750 is not going to send me to the poor house, but it does sting a bit, kind of like the feeling you get when someone sticks a probe into your hip to insert magic pellets. I'm counting this as a lesson learned, and I say to you: Gentlemen, If you want to feel better, you're going to have to do it yourself. Eat better, exercise more, and do those things you know you should to improve your well-being. There is no magic pill (or pellet) that's going to knock ten years off our charts and make us feel like champions again. I wanted to believe, and for many people, the wanting is enough to make them believe. After all, placebos are shown to work in about half of all patients. So now I'm off to the gym. It is going to be hard and slow, with no magic pellets to help me on my way. If by chance you find yourself in front of Lone Tree's office, take my advice and keep driving. There's a gym down the road just a couple of miles. read more

I can at the end of January for an annual check up. I sat in the room with nothing but the hospital gown on and waited 45 minutes before my doctor finally showed up. While the staff is very nice I feel like the communication doesn't exist. I was prescribe medication and was never told and only found out later when they posted note after my visit. I also was in today and found out that the blood test they took from me January 28th, something went wrong and they weren't able to run the test. I was never told this either. The only reason I found out was because I had seen two different doctors and they were discussing it in front of me. The people are so nice and very comforting when things are going wrong but the way things work in the background are seriously wrong. read more

Dr Furr is wonderful . Great sense of humor and most always timely despite his crazy schedule. He's delivered my two babies and did an amazing job with both. I've seen some of his midwives as well and they are wonderful. The ladies that work the office and front desk are always welcoming and helpful also. I went to Paula for laser hair removal and I am so glad I did! First off, I am a 42 yr old , fair skinned, blonde haired, blue eyed, woman with dark black, thick hairs that grow on my chin and upper lip. I was always told that I was a perfect candidate for laser hair removal. I have spent thousands of dollars attempting to remove the hair from my chin and upper lip. My first experience was a place in cherry creek , they told me I had to shave in between ,no plucking, so the treatment would work. I started shaving in between which made my hairs grow in soo much worse. I did three treatments there and they did nothing. My second attempt was at zap laser. I went to zap laser spending $100 per treatment at least 8 times. By now I could literally grow a five o'clock shadow on my chin, no joke and I absolutely HAD to shave everyday! Again, the treatments did nothing to prevent or slow the grow of the hairs. My third attempt was at orenda med spa in castle rock, where I again spent upwards of $100 per treatment and had 7-9 treatments. My last treatment there ended with the tech burning me in several spots. I had pretty much given up at this point. I found Paula through a friend a few months ago and I originally started going to her for botox. After telling her about my previous hair removal experiences she encouraged me to come in and try with her again. I did! I have only had three treatments with her at this point, so I do still have a little growth (but I was no easy case!) but after the second treatment I could tell a huge difference in the hair thickness and speed of growth. I cant wait to do another treatment and I am convinced it will be my last. I no longer have to shave everyday. The volume of hairs has gone down a ton! Paula is awesome and I wish I would've found her before I wasted thousands of dollars other places! I highly recommend! read more

I've been seeing Dr. Lara Lane for years. She's delivered both my kids and I couldn't recommend her with any more passion. Dr. Lane is personable and spends realy focused time with me. She is never rushed and best of all, she delivers all of her own patients. That is saying something in today's environment.
