I truly don't know how I would've gotten through my C-section without Misty. She was the calm, grounded presence I didn't even realize I'd need until I was in that operating room. While everything around me felt sterile and overwhelming, she kept me focused, helped me breathe through the tense moments, and reminded me that I was safe and capable. She held space for me emotionally in a setting that can feel so clinical, and her gentle reassurance helped me actually experience the birth of my babies rather than just get through it. We had a wonderful experience with our Doula Allie. Going through the pregnancy and birthing process was a lot for both my husband and I and it was so helpful to have someone who knew each step in the process as well as the ins and outs of the hospital. She brought knowledge of different positions for me to get in that allowed my baby to get in an optimal position during pushing. She sat with us during the long night waiting for me to progress. She brought me hot broth to drink when I was getting tired. She also kept the staff aligned to my birth plan which is not as easy at it sounds! We hired Rachel Strother as our postpartum doula. She was fantastic! My husband and I are first time parents without family in the area. I was nervous and a bit overwhelmed about being on our own. Rachel was a wonderful resource and support. We bombarded her with baby questions at her first visit and she answered them all with grace and patience. She always had great ideas and tips. She was gentle and loving toward our son. She taught us how to give him baths and clip his nails. She cleaned baby bottles and also taught me some new nursing positions. The best thing though is she an amazing cook. She put together a comprehensive menu you can choose from and she made meals/snacks during her time with us. Before each visit, I let her know what meals I'd like her to make and she would send me a list of ingredients. I then would have everything ready to go when she arrived and she wasted no time! She was super efficient, clean, and organized in the kitchen. Having delicious homemade meals every week was pure gold. I found Intuitive Birth through a recommendation from the midwife at my OB's office, and I am so glad I did! Anna was my doula and she was absolutely crucial to the success of the delivery of my son. Immediately upon meeting via zoom, my husband and I felt comfortable. She exudes a calm confidence that I knew I wanted in the delivery room with me. When the big day finally arrived, Anna was an absolute rock for me mentally and physically. I had a planned unmedicated birth, and I don't think I could have done it without her! Even though we'd done it once before, my husband and I both agree that having Tammy as our doula was a critical step in a smooth delivery. Dimming lights, essential oils, monitors that allowed me to get up were just some of the initial impacts she had. She dimmed the lights, turned on a lavender diffuser, and even gave me a long foot massage after I received my epidural. Her presence turned what could have been a high-stress event into something I described to my husband as a "spa-like experience." She was an incredible cheerleader, providing encouragement throughout labor and helping me navigate medical decisions as they arose. Tammy was also still available by call and text through the whole experience and made it clear that she was still there to support! A couple of months later, when my husband and I got married, I asked Tammy to be our night nurse during the wedding. Not only did she agree, but she went above and beyond to ensure our baby girl was well cared for while I could enjoy a stress-free celebration. Tammy stayed nearby and brought my daughter to me as needed, giving me complete peace of mind. She also provided an amazing referral to a lactation consultant to help me prepare for the big day. Both Tammy and Lauren exceeded every expectation on my birth and postpartum experience. Their attention to detail, care, and unwavering support made all the difference. Thanks to them, I can't imagine ever going through another birth without a doula. My husband and I agree that Tammy was worth every penny and more. Her support and coaching were invaluable to us before, during, and after our birth. Multiple women at my church recommended her to me, and she is seriously a legend. I still cannot believe I was able to have a natural, low-intervention birth, all without an epidural, and that was only because of Tammy. The day I went into labor, we immediately began texting Tammy, and she supported us every step of the way. When my contractions ramped up, I was in such intense pain that I felt like I needed an epidural! However, when we reached the hospital, I was 9 cm dilated. At that moment, Tammy looked me in the eyes and said, "Joy, I know you wanted to do this without an epidural, and I think you can do this. I believe in you." Tammy proceeded to coach me through the three hours of active labor and then the next two hours of pushing. Every contraction, every transition, every moment she was there, hip-squeezing me and encouraging me. My husband also says that looking back he started freaking out at home as my labor intensified and my pain level increased. He says that the moment he saw Tammy, he felt instant relief and reassurance, and that with her there, he knew everything was going to be okay. Don't get me wrong, our hospital was wonderful, but it is clear that your individual wants are not necessarily their first priority. At times, the nurse would tell us something, and I would look at Tammy in panic. She would calmly advise us as if we were her flesh and blood. It wasn't until later that we realized how many unseen things she did for us and all the ways she protected us behind the scenes. For example, after I gave birth, they began firmly telling us we needed to leave the labor room. I had lost a huge amount of blood (they had to give me pitocin after I gave birth to help stop the bleeding), I was barely conscious, and my husband was exhausted. I was weak, my body was shaking uncontrollably, and I could scarcely imagine moving an inch. Tammy came over, covered me with a blanket, and told me to go to sleep. I woke up almost 2 hours later, feeling so much better, and saw my husband asleep on a couch. Anxiously, I looked around and saw Tammy holding my baby girl. Not only had she stopped the hospital from kicking us out of the room, but she had cared for our baby in her first hours of life. I still get emotional thinking about it. I have recommended Tammy to multiple friends since my birth, and I plan to have Tammy as my doula for any future child I have. She is a god-send and I don't think anyone could go wrong in hiring her! read more

My husband and I absolutely loved working with Merrie as our doula for our first born in 2025. Merrie truly has a gift for taking care of birthing parents and their babies. Our goal was to have doula support to allow us both to enjoy the birth process as much as possible without having to be consumed with researching details about how to navigate labor. I'm writing this review update as I sip on homemade tea our doula Rachel brought by today! So thoughtful! As a second time mama, I knew from the start of this pregnancy that I wanted Rachel by our side again! While armed with much more knowledge than the first birth, as they say, no pregnancy is the same, and no birth is the same. This second pregnancy, I fell into the high risk category, and was told I would need to be induced early. Induction was a whole new path for me, and I had MANY questions for Rachel. She walked me through what the whole process might look like and answered all of my queries! My induction date was scheduled for the evening (for cervical ripening), but I found out that week at a check that I was already 4cm dilated. Rachel immediately suggested I ask for a morning induction time since we wouldn't need the cervical ripening time, and therefore wouldn't need to be up all night if we didn't have to be. What a game changer! We got to sleep at home and went to the hospital in the morning to have our baby. At the start of the induction, I was offered the option of an epidural first, and then the option of either Pitocin or breaking waters first. How should I know how to make these decisions!? Enter, Rachel! (Seriously, she arrived at the moment I needed to make these decisions!) the nurse and doctor (who I love) were very much in the camp of, it doesn't matter where you start, and one doesn't necessarily negate the need for the other, but this wasn't helpful for me to know how to proceed first. Rachel shared real life examples from her doula-ing and helped guide me to my decisions. Yes, epidural first (because there might not be time for it to work), start with water breaking because it's less of an intervention, then Pitocin. The epidural got to work and Rachel spent hours massaging my legs and feet, helping me into comfortable positions, and answering any questions that arose. The hospital was BUSY, and having Rachel and her calm demeanor and knowledge left us feeling perfectly fine with the infrequent check ins from the nurses and doctor. One aspect of Rachel's presence that was so appreciated by me is that she advocated for what I wanted (to birth on my side, while breathing out during pushes), even when I forgot to mention this to the care team. Once it was time to push, it was Rachel who was most helpful and locked into ME. The doctor and nurses, and even my husband, were very locked into baby making his exit, but Rachel was the one I looked to and said things like, "Can you tell me when to push? I can't feel the contractions." 3 pushes and 10 minutes from the start of the commotion, we had a baby! Rachel stayed with us for a little while, and took some great pictures of the experience! Two weeks later, we just had our follow up chat where she came by, brought her homemade tea, and checked in on us. I think our family may be complete now, but I will continue to recommend Rachel to anyone who is pregnant! read more

I was so lucky to work with both Lauren and Dacia for the birth of my first little girl. Lauren was thoughtful, empathetic, and encouraging throughout my entire pre and postnatal journey. No question was too small, and she always made me feel heard - validating the smallest of concerns or issues I faced. I had an unmedicated birth at the Birth Center of Denver, and Lauren made me feel prepared and empowered to do so. I delivered late, and because of the timing, Dacia stepped in on the actual day of my labor. Misty was our doula and I couldn't recommend her more! I moved to Colorado with no family nearby. I was late in my second trimester and needed support to find a holistic, natural birthing practice/provider, education on natural labor and delivery, and fourth trimester support. Misty recommended OBGYNs, midwives, birthing centers and hospitals that catered to my specific birthing preferences - even as they changed throughout my pregnancy. Her advice and recommendations meant the world as we navigated a new city and a plethora of options. Skipping forward to labor and delivery - I labored for 25 hours naturally, and an additional 20 hours with an epidural. Misty stayed by my side the entire time offering evidence based knowledge and support to help me make every decision. She also knew every provider at the hospital so we received the best nurses and care possible - being able to have Misty know the providers made all the difference in the world. Emotionally and physically, Misty prepared my husband and I as best we could for the 40+ hours of labor. She helped draw baths, set a relaxed labor with tea lights and essential oils, counter pressure, messages, and truly transformed the hospital into a birthing center atmosphere. I couldn't ask for better support. Lauren, another doula from Intuitive, was also providing support during my labor and it felt incredible having both her and Misty by my side! My labor was nothing like I expected, but Misty and Lauren made me feel relaxed and confident through it all. I had some recovery complications and Misty was able to help me through this time as well - emotionally and physically. Providing recovery support, teas, oils, and regularly checking in to make sure I was healing and baby was doing okay. I feel blessed to have someone so close by to lean on if I ever need support. I highly recommend Intuitive Birth - I'm so thankful. My labor and recovery could be seen as traumatic, but Misty truly made every moment special with her calming presence and support. read more

I can't begin to share how important Merrie, Misty, Dacia, and the entire Intuitive Birth team have been to our pregnancy, our delivery, and our ability to settle in with our new baby. Merrie has been a lifeline for us throughout the process, and always one of the first people we contacted when we had any questions or concerns. She was immediately available in almost every circumstance, with the exception of the delivery (she was out of town), during which Misty and Dacia stepped in ably and admirably. And thank goodness they did! We had a difficult labor that culminated in an emergency c-section, but Misty and Dacia were consistently and constantly supportive presences throughout. They supported my wife through labor with mantras, massages, and running all manner of errands, and they helped me(!), the partner, with words of affirmation, assurance, and empathy as we navigated a series of difficult situations and decisions. Thankfully everything worked out for the best and we have a healthy, happy baby boy. And when we brought him home and had about 500 concerns in the first 6 weeks, Merrie and Dacia would stop over, reassure us, provide us a few tips (or even a lovely home-cooked meal!), and leave us better off than before they arrived. I cannot recommend Lauren and Tammy with Intuitive Birth more. As a first time mom, I was definitely nervous about the birthing process. I had a goal of an unmedicated vaginal birth, and I knew having a doula would support me in that process. Enter Lauren. Lauren was a wealth of knowledge leading up to our due date. She kept me sane as I started having prodominal about 3 weeks early and when I went a week past my due date (and the different options I had if it came to induction). The night I went into labor Lauren was responsive and supportive. She was a huge help to me and my husband during the labor process, and really gave us confidence to know when to leave for the hospital (I wanted to labor as long as I could from home). Lauren advocated for me and my birth plan at the hospital, and I ended up having the most amazing birth (6 hours from when my water broke, and only about 10 minutes of pushing.) We cannot recommend Lauren enough and would absolutely use her again for any future babies we are able to have. Lauren was actually the one who recommended Tammy to us for postpartum evening care. Tammy was a God send in the first 6 weeks of our baby's life. Her flexibility worked well with our schedule, and her wealth of knowledge truly set us up for success. Not to mention the extra zzz's we got. I would trust Tammy with my child 100x over. She is a baby and puppy whisperer and truly feels like part of your family. We cannot express our gratitude enough to them both. read more

We were so lucky to have Dacia as our doula for the birth of our second child. My first birth was a c-section, and after initially planning a repeat cesarean due to pressure from my OB, I made the decision at 35 weeks to switch to VBAC and I knew I would need a doula if I was going to have a shot at a successful VBAC. Misty helped match me with Dacia and I instantly felt confident in my decision after talking to Dacia. Dacia has achieved a VBAC herself which helped me even more that she had experienced it herself. Throughout the rest of my pregnancy, Dacia was a helpful resource, guiding me to different VBAC specific resources and even recommended her acupuncturist (who was super great too!). In the weeks leading up to birth I was texting Dacia frequently asking questions about what I was experiencing, and she was always available when I needed her. The birth of my son was an amazing experience, and I couldn't have done it without Dacia. She immediately helped me get into the tub to labor and set up the room so that it was calm and relaxing. When I ended up choosing to get the epidural, Dacia made sure to keep me moving around so that the baby was best engaged in my pelvis for labor. She was encouraging during pushing and when my son was born, he needed some suctioning, which initially freaked me out but Dacia was super reassuring. She even cut the umbilical cord, as my husband was uncomfortable with doing it. Dacia has been helpful in the postpartum period as well. I was diagnosed with anemia and Dacia recommended some supplements to take. At our postpartum visit it was so nice to see her and process how we were doing and get her help on newborn care. She made me a super nutritious postpartum meal and helped wash bottles for me so I could nap. All in all, I've had the most amazing experience with Dacia and intuitive birth. I'm done having kids, but this experience has been so great that I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! read more

We couldn't imagine our birth without our doula Rachel Strothers. She was absolutely incredible and proved to be so vital to the birth of our son. From the very first meeting she was able to provide a grounding energy that would carry us through the entire process. This was our first child and she helped paint the picture of what to expect from start to finish, what challenges we might encounter, decisions we might have to make and was able to help translate medical jargon into something understandable. We had a bit of a tough birth process in that we experienced a few complications during labor, and Rachel was there every step of the way massaging and comforting my wife, advising us when to take certain steps (like getting in the tub), and making sure we both had what we needed. As the husband Rachel's comfort measures allowed me to have more face to face time with my wife so I could comfort and support her in ways that only I could. Most importantly, when we were told we had to have an emergency c-section, she was with us throughout the whole procedure. She was able to take some amazing photos for us and was there to hold my wife's hand while the surgeons helped stitch her up, which allowed me to spend those first few minutes with my son to clean him up, weigh him and cut the cord. I can't imagine leaving my wife's side had Rachel not been there. We cannot recommend Rachel and Intuitive Birth more! For anyone thinking of getting a doula...do it! I promise you won't regret it. read more
