I am returning to the sport of archery after several years, and brought my bow to the store, hoping to use the range which was advertised on the website. However according to the associates, the 'range' is actually an infrequently used single setup lane. Additionally, you need to be there when the bow tech is on shift, but I did not find those hours posted. This took me by surprise, given the size and location of the store. Great products on display of different types of outdoor gear. The bows and hunting equipment/supplies for all different budgets was great to see. You can spend a lot of time just shopping for different things and visit their bar for a drink. Daydreaming while looking at the pontoon boats and ATVs is fun, but just checking out the aquarium makes the whole trip complete. Jan 3rd, bad day for Bass Pro Shop. Cashier offered a credit card to the customer in front of me and had to go to the front to process it. Took over ten minutes for the cashier to come back. While we waited I asked the manager to open another register since the line was now thirty people deep. They opened one on the farthest aisle from us and didn't ever offer us to move over there so we continued to wait and wait and wait. I'll go somewhere else in the future when I need fishing gear. read more

Love the retailer but their boat service department lacks professionalism. Had my boat winterized early January at Bass Pro Shop Garland, went to get a summerization mid June and other accessories installed (radio, speakers, etc), waited 3 weeks and got a call saying they don't work on older boats. My boat is a mint 1987 Horizon 170. Absolute beauty. I was not informed of this age "policy" when I got my boat winterized the first time or else I would have never taken it here. The service department here is the most unorganized and unmotivated bunch ive ever seen collectively. I dont ever write reviews but I had to for this. Highly disappointed. Updated review on the basis Bass Pro compensated me due to the inconvenience and took full responsibility. It always feels like you're on vacation when you go in to a Bass Pro Shop! It's fun to look at the displays of taxidermy animals and a great place to snap a photo! Some of the fish in the huge tank are massive! I enjoyed the chart that showed local fish that are in the area. We went to the area that sells boat supplies and found boat number/letter stickers in a variety of colors and styles. A salesperson answered a question on a battery charger and we were all done looking around and headed to the checkout area. There was not too many people in the store and when we walked up to the cashier, the customer ahead of us had just finished their transaction. Our cashier was super friendly and we chatted for a little bit about the fishhook on his BPS ball cap. read more

I agree with Maverick's review. I was in the fishing lure section for thirty minutes and none of the workers came out from behind the counter to ask me what I was looking for. This was the same for two other guys I ran into who were equally frustrated. As a customer, you should come to me and ask me if you can help me, I shouldn't have to come to you and say can you help me find xyz. I watched them for a while as they were all looking at there cell phones and chattin about the Johnny Depp verdict !!! Seriously !!! I even walked back and forth in front of them several times so they could see I was looking for something. I did reluctantly make a purchase as they had some baits I couldn't find at my local location down in Round Rock. Because they had some of what I wanted, I'll give 'em 3 Stars. I have spent over 5,000 in this store specifically in the firearm area we just recently bought a new 800$ handgun. one the second bullet shot the gun broke and would not exchange a bullet. we eventually look in the chamber to find a piece chipped off the next day we came to the store trying to exchange it they told us that we were not able to and that we had to send it to the manufacturer which then they said we are not responsible for that very disappointing considering how much money we have invested into this store i will never EVER e shopping here again!!! read more

We been here before when they had the inside restaurant. Very nice inside and clean. Glad because prices don't really compete with other stores for some things. Which for what they put into the stores it's ok they cost a little more. We just bought some flashlights and gear to prepare for the future. A lot of good quality stuff. It also has a lot of animal displays. Very nicely done I might add. They have fish turtles which were live. Also some stiffed animals posed in various displays as you wander towards center of store. Its a nice place to visit on occasion. If you are a sportsmanits a nice place to go often. read more

We were informed of progress in its construction regularly, and when it arrived, as novice boaters, we received a delightful tutorial out on the water. The manager of the boat store, Lucien Wainie, is the most knowledgeable and responsive person I've ever worked with on a purchase and for support with questions afterwards. Don't bother calling you'll get a 50 second recording before you can enter your desired areas number followed by 30 seconds of ringing just to be sent back to the main operator and around and around and around and around and around. Eventually you'll get a person in "service" that will tell you to go to their website, which is unable to process a search for parts, and you'll get a message to contact their store. Just go to Amazon for Nitro parts and send back items until you get one that fits this horrifically proprietary model of vessel. Better yet, just don't purchase a boat from Bass Pro. Nothing fits, running and anchor lights are three prong while the rest of the boating world is two prong, the plug is 3/4 inch while the rest of the world is 1 inch etc etc etc read more

Bass pro is a excellent world class outdoor business. In saying this I must be honest behind the name is the managerial staff. They can not uphold the quality and good name of this company by their work ethics, as I have just recently experienced when applying for a part time position. As you know you will need to speak to Human Resources... GOOD LUCK!!!! Trying to apply for a part time job. I started Thursday 1 week ago. I have left messages even with a manager!! Not 1 call has been returned. I've talked to employees that tried to get (-----) to the phone to talk to me still nothing. I'm sure HR person is going to have the excuse it iced. Not the whole week. I don't know how this person is in a hiring position when they obviously don't seem to care. Just an FYI FOR HR IF You don't want to hire me, just say so!! By the way I do like bass pro have done business with them since early 70s when it was mail order only, and continue to share my business with them in Garland Tx. Went there today for Santa pictures and the whole set up was a little different thanks to Covid, but still nice, I love that the kids didn't have to wear a mask during the picture.
