I went there this morning as I have been a customer here for about 10 years. Admittedly they were busy. However i found a suit I wanted and simply needed it marked up for altering. I stood there for over 30 minutes dressed as staff ignored me. Even when I asked for help I got we will be with you shortly, mean while they were helping others as soon as they walked in. The final straw was when two staff members went to help a man that just walked in as I was still standing there. I finally just gave up and went to men's warehouse. In and out in 12 minutes. Question: is it a requirement that salespeople at men's "fashion" stores be smug snot nosed children w no customer service skills? Rhetorical of course. Decided I was at a time in my life where I should probably own a tux. My son is a big fan of Jos... so thought I would give them a try. Timeline didn't permit me to buy this go around so decided to rent with them and buy based on my experience. Jos.... ain't gonna happen. "Customer Service" at time of rental was lacking. I was really hoping for some guidance and insight because the majority of my formal wear for the last 40 years has been dictated by the government. Delivery was timely and then it all went downhill from there... 1. I called to get info about the status of my order and the "salesperson" on the phone sounded distracted and was marginally helpful. I called back to clarify some of the information and when the person was actually able to help he pointed out that he messed up last time because he was helping another customer. Sooo... u failed to properly provide customer service to the person in front of you so you could fail to provide customer service to the person on the phone? (Rhetorical) 2. When trying on the tux the "salesperson" leaning up against the wall watching noticed I was struggling to clip the bow tie.... "How is it?" He asked, not offering any assistance w the tie. 3. While looking in the mirror I noticed several creases and even more significantly, seam tension pucker on both sleeves. I asked him if it was normal. He had no idea what I was referring too, alerting me to his complete lack of experience in fabric and men's fashion. When I took the jacket off to point out the flaw to him he stated "Oh, we'll that would be a manufacture/distributed problem then." No, young Jedi, that would be a YOU problem as YOU are the person I am paying to provide me a product and a service. 4. He asked if I wanted it pressed, I said sure that may b helpful (while asking myself was it not already pressed?) A short while later I hear "Sir, Sir, Sir" There were 4 dressing rooms and 3 other men there so I wasn't sure I was the "sir" in question. Apparently I was and my name (On the receipt and order) wasn't important enough to the Salesperson to lookup or remember. 5. When the puckering and creases remained he suggested a warm iron the day of the event to help. SERIOUSLY!? Mr. Jos A Bank, is it your expectation that the customer press their design tux rental? Unbelievable... $300 rental well spent to learn I'll by buying my Tux, and spending my men's fashion dollars somewhere else. You lost out Jos A Bank. Follow up. Bought nice polo last year. Wore 2 or 3 times. Small hole appeared, obviously from poor workmanship. Brought to store. Young man offered no help to replace or discount a replacement. My only satisfaction was to leave him this worthless shirt. I won't be back. read more

Came by in a bit of a hurry, ready to buy slacks and spend serious money on ties and future tailored suits for a "dress to impress" promotion I received. At first thought to be lucky as the store was empty and there appeared to be 3 employees ready to assist. Got greeted and attended by a young dark haired frail grown child male employee with a condescending demeanor from the start. His stale customer service and mumbling irked me, and when asked straightforwardly to raise his voice as I could not understand a word, his eye roll was the deciding factor for my leave. Frustrated after a difficult day, didn't bother requesting another employee unfortunately. Hope this is not why this place appeared to be barren/lifeless. read more

This would've been my first purchase but they have cancelled my order twice!!!! I ordered online and noticed last night my order was cancelled although I see the pending charge. I called customer service today and was told it could just be the format of my billing address. She confirmed everything and resubmitted my order. She let me know she emailed the necessary department to ensure my order would process. So I now have 2 pending transactions. Not even 5 minutes later the 2nd order is cancelled. I call back because I really liked the suit for my son. The agent can't tell me why it cancelled my 2nd order but it'll be refunded within 5 business days. I now have $300 pending from my bank account, no explanation why my order is rejecting from my card in my name. But he can only offer to process a 3rd order in hopes it goes through but can't give me a reason it hasn't or guarantee that a 3rd transaction will be successful. Nor can I speak with someone to identify the actual problem. I give up I guess my money is no good at Jos A Banks. read more

I have bought many clothes in this location in Rockwall over the years and have been completely satisfied. Last year, I lost about 35lbs and none of my suits or slacks that I had purchased from the Rockwall store fit. I gathered all of them up and went in and asked them if their tailor could take them in. The manager walked back to ask the tailor and came back out and said no. The back pockets would be touching and it's not possible. I had no idea and it made sense. But looking back in it, I should have asked to talk to their tailor. I then was told I'd need to start over. So I did. I bought a new tailored suit, and 5 new pairs of slacks. This is where my reliance on the old Jos A. Banks ability to measure and serve me went south. This new you g manager measured me like I was a teen wanting pants That sat on top of my shoe with no break and your socks show. I didn't know that. I asked for a break in the length. He also had my pant legs tapered from the knee down. When I got my suit and pants back, I could wear them. They were the completely wrong fit. I went back three different times trying to get the tailor to fix them. The tailor would never measure me. The young men always did it. This all took at least 2 weeks every time they attempted to fix them and finally after 6 weeks I got them where I could attempt to wear them. Now, they gave me two pairs of jeans for the trouble. I thought I was satisfied. I happened to find a tailor near my office. I took my old slacks in that I thought couldn't be fixed. Nope! He said it was an easy fix and for $75, he had every single pair of slacks and my suit fitting perfectly and the pockets didn't touch. Oh, I also took the Jos A Banks clothes and he has them fitting like they should. That tailoring cost me another $100. This is money I didn't and shouldn't have to have spent! I was lied to because they wanted a sale! Then, after spending over $1.200 on new clothes, they couldn't get the ones I did buy right because they assumed a certain style. I'm very upset with the money I trusted them with and I will not be going back. I bet I've purchased 4 suits, 4 sport coats, dozen shirts and probably 10 different pairs of slacks there over the years. So frustrated! read more

Dudes, please go somewhere else. The dude who is seems to be the only employee is going to have a stroke over the stress. Older dude, you know who you are and I feel for you. But management, you need more than one old dude to run a store. Examples of JOS A BANK being a PITA: 1. We go for wedding suit. Tell him what we want. We want a gray suit. No, not a blue suit. No not that blue suit, no not that blue suit either. Oh that gray one is nice but "you wouldn't want that one it's too expensive". Oh really. While he's trying to help us, there's another dude who's about to blow a gasket because his suit that's supposed to be back from alterations that day is not. Or is lost. Nobody knows. But he's pissed and waiting while Mr. Grumpy Pants is trying to rush us into buying something, ANYTHING, to get us out of his face. We left empty handed. 2. Fast forward a year. Mah man goes and buys two pair of pants and two belts. One pair of pants is two inches too short. Exchange said pants on a Saturday morning. Same older dude working alone and running around red faced and trying to help 6 different customers at once. Man pissed his tux isn't in. Another kid pissed his prom tux isn't in. Man wandering around in ill fitting suit that is waiting for alterations is looking at ties. Another husband and wife needing help. Fellas, you know how you like to Boom Boom Boom get in and get out? This is not the place for that. This is the place where you deal with a grumpy red faced old dude who is so overworked, Jos A Banks needs to invest in an AED machine for the place because i'm afraid he's gonna need it. read more

I use to absolutely love Jos A banks. Which was why I decided to build a custom tux there for my wedding! The first day experience was great, staff was very helpful and nice when I was first designing my tux although it all started to go south upon my first fitting. The staff seemed annoyed and unfriendly as I said I was here for my fitting to which they me made wait almost 30 min in what seemed like a empty store before being able to try it on! It also always felt like pulling teeth to get them to make alterations, almost felt like they didn't want to do any extra work! Lastly the week of my wedding I called in to see if my tux was ready for pick up and was told it was given to the wrong person two weeks ago!!!! I understand mistakes happen but for them to sit on this info for two weeks with out a phone call is just completely unacceptable! I had to beg them for his contact information so I could get ahold of him! I then had to drive and hour and a half both ways to retrieve my tux which at this point had already been worn and slightly torn! I had to shell out extra money at my own tailor to have it repaired and dry cleaned! The only reason I'm not leaving a 1 star review is because the manager was extremely apologetic and did give me a full refund for the inconvenience, so I thank her for that! I just hope they never let this happen to anyone else! read more

Love this location mainly because the customer service is excellent. My husband has purchased several suits, shirts and ties from here and we've been very pleased. Ryan and Lana have been great to work with and Lana has such a good eye and talent for choosing color combos that are so versatile and have my husband looking sharp! Needed a suit badly! The gentleman helped me find TWO. He was very helpful with style and matching. He literally took me from knowing nothing about fashion (when it comes to suits) to bringing me to an expert. I got very good service. The prices were a little high, but fair. Selection was somewhat limited. I would recommend this business, but they do have limited selection. Good experience and I will return! Update: went back the next day and the woman working could have cared less about customers. So, once I got a VERY professional person to help me......AND once I got a woman who didn't care at all! I was in a jam and needed to rent a tuxedo in less than a week. The manager was very helpful and his associates were very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. I got my tuxedo in time for the wedding and the fit was great for having to be done in a hurry . I would highly recommend this place. Because there's no tailors for men around for a few cities, we went to a place with what we thought was under bad management. However as of February, the store's been under new management, and from my own experience nothing that I've read has been true. We went in and got everything measured and bought within 40 minutes with no delay or inconvenience. Definitely will go back again. read more
