Fly me to Dubai. So many of these inpired-by products want the cash without the grind. The latest is Baskin Robbins' Dubai chocolate ice cream bar. It looks glorious, green-drizzled and gold-dusted, sitting upside down in a BR cup, waiting to be unboxed. The fridge literally had a cable lock that the employee unlocked only after I paid. She just grabbed one & didn't ask me which one I wanted. The 1st bite was confusing. Bit through the chocolate shell and pistachio ice cream. Both good. Then my teeth hit a wall. This part was supposed to be the crunchy shredded filo dough, but it was a compacted brick. Not sure if I got a bar that's been frozen too long or if they're all made like this. Beware. If you order through DoorDash they try to charge extra for toppings which are included. The 2 scoop sundae says it comes w/wet topping, chopped almonds, and a cherry. They have it set up where you cannot select the toppings that their description says it includes, and if you try to add it a cherry will cost you $0.62 cents, the wet topping will cost you $1.23. I was served by Gulie. She was super friendly and very attentive. She smiled the entire time and had such a patient and kind attitude towards everyone in line. The place got busy very quickly and the two girls Golie and another employee were doing their best to attend everyone with a friendly attitude. There should be more employees to help them out. Nonetheless they handled it well. Thank you Gulie for being incredibly kind and being so patient waiting for me to decide what I wanted you are terrific for that. Her smile was contagious!! Yelp 100 Challenge 2017 # 72/100 Not trying to start a song parody but I just can't get this song out of my head "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream." And whenever I have ice cream on my mind Baskin Robbins and their 31 flavors ring loud and clear. This particular BR shop is located in the West Covina Westfield Mall on the ground floor beside Macy's. So convenient that when you need a break from shopping and crave something sweet and cold, just stop by. At the time of our visit we got free fresh made waffle cone with the purchase of two scoops. I always ask to try their flavor of the month, but really who am I kidding? I always gravitate to anything chocolate. Just had their chocolate mousse royale and now I have a new favorite flavor added to my list. They have a few tables and chairs so you can sit and enjoy your treat or choose to walk away with the prize. read more

Someone needs to have a moody, uneducated employee by the name of Lynn, a training or retraining on customer services. Her tone and demeanor were of someone, not working, but doing US a favor. My husband was just looking at the books to order cakes and when he asked her a question, she replied in a short and rude manner. Then, I had been waiting on my son to get charged and instead of helping me, she said, "Excuse me!" In an annoyed and loud manner, for everyone to hear. She was trying to get rid of me so she could charge people who came way after us. I told her that and she continued to tell me she was going to charge those people. Then, Joseph (excellent customer service) helped us and was kind and polite. That is how we expect all employees to behave towards customers who choose to keep them in business. read more

Very frustrating! Wife and I have been going here about 5 days per week for the last 2 1/2 years. Wife goes to the counter to order while I find a seat outside. She orders my frappe thick as I like it. Many of the staff make it thin like chocolate milk. Bejeezus, $9 for chocolate milk and an extra $1 tip adds up to $10 for a freaking lousy drink. Very inconsistent, some are good but for the most part, 80% of the staff serve lousy product. C'mon, put some care into the service. We support the mall and hope to get some good service as we spend plenty of money at the restaurants and department stores. But BR has been so frustrating over the last few months that we've been trying to avoid it and every time we do go, I have to cross my fingers hoping to get good service. As mentioned, a couple of good people there but just like tonight, my wife ordered my frappe THICK. Ends up being thin like chocolate milk. WTH !!!! Took it back with my bad attitude being upset that the server KNOWING she ordered it THICK, served it thin as can be. Getting really PO'd with the servers who don't give a darn about the customers even after a freaking tip. Can't find the exact words to express my frustration without the use of some words I'd like to use but for goodness sake, give a darn about your service. Hard to understand why the server just doesn't do it right the first time. Have to take it back just to hear "oh ,sorry about that, I'll remake it". Really frustrating buying anything here anymore. Same with the ice cream, couple of employees make it worth the high priced ice cream but most of the others will serve golf ball sized ice cream scoops. For goodness sake, if you're too weak to put some elbow power into it, maybe they need to find another job serving slurpees. Frustrating spending $50-$70 per week hoping to get a decent scoop of ice cream or frappe that isn't chocolate milk. Tired of spending my hard earned money here. Ice cream cakes are the best to celebrate birthdays during these hot summery months. Just recently, my little sis ordered a pralines n cream ice cream cake. She picked out the cutest design. The cake had mini ice cream cones around the top in 6 different flavors. Before we could cut the cake the mini ice cream cones disappeared. The ice cream cake was perfect. Moist and the ice cream was filled with praline coated pecans & swirls of caramel. Yummy!!! We also had a Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Cake. This cake wasn't a customized cake, but can be found along with the prepacked quarts in the freezer. It was a little cake that was chocolate on the outside topped with strawberry glaze & little pink hearts. Inside it had strawberry ice cream with chocolate cake. So yummy & cute too! This Baskin Robbins is great. Friendly service, clean & variety. What more can you ask for. read more

The best Chocolate Blasts are @ this location! Make sure you get an experienced worker though. They use a chocolate base with the chocolate ice cream to create a party in your mouth! I once got a newbie who tried to put vanilla ice cream in mine, and I would've freaked if she hadn't fixed it cuz who wants vanilla in a chocolate drink?!?! Not me, that's 4sho! Sweet treat is always a welcome but not in this store. I bought one scoop of jamocan mocha fudge ice cream. This is my fave flavor, but not from this store. The ice cream from this store sits too long in the fridge/cooler and it seems like the fridge/cooler has a smell so my ice cream has that left over fridge smell/taste. I'm not too picky with my sweets but for $4 a scoop I'm really expecting more on quality point. Unfortunately this one scoop just ruined it for me.
