Some people say the portions are small, but the amount we had was just perfect after eating a big dinner. The staff was so welcoming and friendly, and they have a small, but cozy area inside to sit and enjoy your gelato if you want to. Needless to say, we'll definitely be back.

Ben & Jerry's gave out free ice cream (limited menu, from their van) and didn't skimp on portions. I signed up for their Birthday Rewards program and got a free scoop or cone to use the month of my birthday. If you have kids you know just how amazing this is (no fighting!). Parking is easy nearby in the Green garage (or really any of the garages) and the location is great to enjoy the treat window shopping or as dessert after eating at one of the restaurants. They also let us sample flavors and gave us cups of tap water. My kids chose Phish Food and I sampled the coffee ice cream, which I'll probably get on Free Cone Day:). I see us coming back here and paying for ice cream because of the customer service and generosity to local events.

The service was fine.  We were surprised that when some of the ice cream dropped from the sample spoon on to the floor by accident, and we asked for a napkin to clean it up, they told us not to worry about it.  I went and found a napkin anyway.  It was a little gross to have a blop of ice cream (even a small one) right in front of the counter where people would step on it.  They also didn't offer another sample knowing that that one never made it to anyone's mouth for a tasting....  Anyway, we opted to try two waffle cones with  a total of four scoops - malted milk chocolate and banana cookie dough, goey butter cake salted peanut butter and brown butter almond brittle.  Maybe it's a matter of too many different things in each type but we didn't really rave over any of them.  The location is clean with plenty of seating and a nice view of the flowered walk way out front.  However, being that it fell short of several other ice cream spots we have tried lately and that you have to pay for parking, I don't think we will be back.

My go-to flavor is the Stracciatella, but this time I decided to try the Blueberry Lavender. It was definitely unique and more of an acquired taste. They give you a very generous scoop, but the cups don't seem large enough to hold it comfortably. My gelato was already dripping all over my hands before I even finished checking out. I appreciate the generous portions, but a slightly larger cup would make the experience much less messy and let you actually enjoy all that gelato without racing against the melt!
