The ladies at the counter were nice, but since they had never heard of a chocolate soda, they wouldn't make one, even though I told them how it was done and that it was made like a float (which they make) except instead of soda pop, one would use soda water and chocolate syrup. My husband then discovered they don't carry peppermint ice cream. We both struck out, so we decided to each order a hot fudge Sunday. I hate to say it, these were the most disappointing hot fudge Sundays. Apparently they keep the temperature of the ice cream to just slightly above melting. The temperature of the hot fudge was barely warm, it seemed as though it was just slightly above the ice cream temperature. I don't know what I was eating, but it was extremely disappointing trip. While we were there, a lady came in with her little boy looking for ice cream cookie sandwiches. Of course, she also struck out. Then she saw the chocolate chip cookie and ice-cream pie and asked for one of those. When she was handed the box, she realized it was not made with a big chocolate chip cookie, but a big brownie. She asked if she could have one with the cookie instead of the brownie. Well, of course they didn't have any, she reluctantly agreed to take the brownie version of the ice-cream pie. So, I guess the moral of the story is, if you're already having a bad day and want to take it to the next level, this is your place. One of the ladies (she is older and appears to be Middle Eastern or Indian) is very, very rude. If you are not 100% ready to order, she will raise her voice at you and wants you back at the end of the line. She also picks and chooses what coupons to honor. The shop is small with 3-4 tables (4th table is occupied with store items) and some chairs. Plan on taking your ice cream to go. This Baskin Robbin's is the closest to me geographically, but I am disappointed every time I patron this location. I order through Instacart mostly and more than a few occasions their sundaes were not even correct. I have ordered double scoop sundaes with chocolate chip, hot fudge, almonds and a cherry. They are skimpy with toppings, and to make matters worse they substituted the chocolate chip for a different flavor. I called the place to ask why the flavors are not what I ordered and they just said they were out of chocolate chip so they substituted with cookies and cream. Why not call the customer and ask if that is even acceptable? If you are out of one of the most popular flavors, then at least call and ask if it's ok to substitute. Another time, I ordered on door dash and again, they are out of chocolate chip. This is the only baskin Robbins that is ALWAYS OUT OF CHOCOLATE CHIP. It doesn't matter if it's summer, fall, winter, they are always OUT OF CHOCOLATE CHIP. That is one of the most basic flavors, what is so hard about keeping that flavor in stock? I love Baskin Robbins but this location is the WORST. The young people who work here are very sweet, so I added an extra star. Stopped in after work to get a sweet treat. I was the only one in there when I arrived. After perusing all the flavors, one of the staff members was in front of me, ready to assist me. I got a single scoop of the caramel turtle in a sugar cone. The ice cream was a little melty and the staff member mentioned it and was trying to scoop down further below to get "harder" ice cream. He checked in with me, after he did the best he could. I said it was fine. We went to this branch with excitement to try their turtle kid sundae and was given an unbelievably miniscule portion size that even a dwarf would not eat. There was a long line of people and only two people were serving. I don't like to complain and want to be understanding but this is clearly wrong. My son asked for a kid sundae with a plain cone but was given a half alive turtle sundae that left my kid hungry and deprived of his ice cream scoop. They also did not have the turtle headband that comes along with the sundae compared to the Vacaville branch. Undercover Boss needs to get their CEO to evaluate this branch and take their child to get a sundae. I wonder if something will be done if a CEO's child receives this mediocre sundae. My wife and I typically go in once a month to purchase pre-packed ice cream out of the reach in freezer. They have now put locks on the door so that you have to get the person to open it up in order to get the ice cream out. There was only one person working, and there was one customer at the register paying when we came in and as we stood there and when she finished another customer came in with apparently a mobile order or DoorDash or something so she did his order next. About the time she finished that order another person came in holding a phone and she started to do his order next. I asked if I had to place a mobile order in order to get the freezer opened up.
