Hit or miss here. I have been quite a few times, sometimes it's delicious, some items I (or who I was with) didn't care for. Because of this, it is hard to gauge the proper amount of stars. I would say you can't go wrong with any of the pizzas, they are all delicious! Salads are lacking, I absolutely didn't care for the citrus salad. I was very excited over it, it sounded amazing. But it was extremely bland. The Cesar isn't anything special, dressing tastes like it's missing something. The Greek was good, they are generous with their toppings and the dressing is tasty. Tried the autumn squash soup, and it was very meh. I added salt, pepper and also tried red pepper flakes. Still not good. Wouldn't recommend. The sandwiches are also ok, some better than others but none anyone I have been with has been really excited over. Desserts- now here is where the display case will get you drooling!! They are all so beautiful, and such an array of choices. From cheesecake to gelato, and all in between. Everyone has been happy with dessert here. I stopped here on a whim, because my hairdresser is nearby and we are in the middle of a kitchen renovation and really needed food that didn't have to be cooked. I picked up a bunch of meals - a meatball sub, eggplant parm, lasagna, roasted potatoes, some other sides. I wasn't expecting it to be great, just edible. But it was great. Best Italian food I've had in a long time. I would describe it as Italian-American (lots of red sauce and fried items) versus Italian like in Rome. However, it was delightfully tasty, not oily or greasy, with clearly homemade sauces, and flavorful cheeses used judiciously. The eggplant parmesan was amazing - thin and perfectly cooked. People fought over the lasagna and the meatball sub. The only disappointment is that we live in Fairfax and this restaurant is in Fredericksburg, so I'll have to drive an hour if I want to go back. I actually might do that. If you live near Fredericksburg, then you are lucky to have this place and should definitely try it if you haven't. Prices are great, too. read more

Excellent food at an establishment frequented by locals and travelers alike. My wife and I ate here, and while my review is based solely on the sandwiches, based on the foot traffic I imagine you will have a good meal no matter what you order, be it pizza or dessert. The line was nearly out the door, which is always a good sign. I only wish that the restaurant was closer to where we live. I absolutely love this place! It's very cute on the inside and they have so many options! I've tried the fontina apple with added roast pork and the dijon chicken, both with their amazing mac and cheese! The fontina and apple is my favorite! I love apples on sandwiches! Everything is very good in your restaurant EXCEPT your jelly-filled cookies. I grew up in NY and know good cookies. The problem is that you are using this jelly substitute, not real jelly. It's very noticeable and destroys what could be a GREAT cookie. PLEASE go back to using real jelly in your cookies. Like I said, everything else is very good in your restaurant. read more

This place was very convenient for grabbing lunch on the road. It's a medium sized deli with tons of options for lunch and dessert. They also have plenty of parking out front, as they're located in a strip mall. I got a panini and slice of cake for a reasonable price, which tasted fine. We got our food in a reasonable time, and we were able to eat in their small outdoor area, which was nice and COVID-friendly. This is one of my all-time favorite places in Fredericksburg. I grew up in this area and only recently did I discover some of the best places to eat in Fredericksburg. This is one of them. They are the most adorable New York - Italian bakery with pizzas, pasta, Italian sodas, gelato and the most amazing baked goods. Generally I get the sandwich on a croissant with cheese, honey, granny smith apples, and cinnamon. It is so good. I've also had a pizza with apples on it and that is delicious as well. The gelato is SO AMAZING. This is the only place to get gelato in the area. I love the sea salt caramel flavor! read more

We took a day trip to historic Fredericksburg, Virginia and after a long morning of shopping and errands, we were "hangry." We decided on deli food and Googled this place... then Yelped it. They offer pizza, sandwiches, soups, salads, decadent desserts and more. Both of us ordered a Reuben sandwich and I have to say, it is now in my top three of all time. It was lightly toasted and packed with goodness. They also have one of those machines that dispenses a wide variety of beverages. I mixed lemonade with fruit punch and it was refreshing. Since my girl has a sweet tooth, we could not leave without having a slice of chocolate chip NY cheesecake and one slice of the chocolate raspberry cake. Both were decadent. What a find! If we lived in the area, we would be back often. Anytime we find ourselves in Fredericksburg, we'll stop in for sure. read more

Would have loved to eaten here today. This is one of the few restaurants we go in the area because Fredericksburg is a chain haven. Seriously disappointed that they were closed today. There was a sign on one of the locations but the were "washed away" and couldn't be read. The other location didn't even have a sign. The phones didn't say they would be closed today either. I am Italian and I was raised on NY Italian food cooked by my grandmother so I am a little critical of "Italian Restaurant" food. Having said that, I think the food here is very good. I haven't had a meal there yet that I haven't enjoyed (not as much as gram's but very good). Now for the pastries. I can't speak to the gelato as I am not a fan of gelato generally speaking. I didn't even like them in Italy. Pastries: I am told they are made on site. That must be an error, what chef (or chef army) can turn out that many beautiful looking things every day? So it's a given, they must be ordered from somewhere. And I think that may be the issue. We've been going there for several years and have ordered many deserts and lately they seem to lack flavor. Could be just me but I think they do lack flavor. I am wondering if the source of pastries changed over the years because in the beginning, they tasted amazing but lately, no.
