Really nice looking place great atmosphere I ordered my meal to go unfortunately I found hair in my food when I got back to work. I called in the same order for pickup and didn't mention anything about my in unacceptable Order. When I arrived my order wasn't ready and the man demanded that I pay for my to go order even thought wasn't ready. When I handed him to go box and told him it had a large hair on top and I wanted another order. Maybe I just should have asked for my money back but I gave them the Benefit of the doubt. He asked for my ordering he wanted to take it to the kitchen. Here is where I wished I asked for my money back. I told I'd rather wait until I get my new order. He seem like he got mad at that point. He took it and said he had to show his cook. That's the last thing I wanted him to do especially since I hadn't received my new order yet. A few minutes later he came out with a perfectly looking new order. He never apologized for wasting what happen. I lost a half hour of work time he he never even said anything or offered me any compensation. Nice looking place but very poor Business Etiquette. THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD I got the chicken pad Thai (with ex. veggies for $2) & it was incredible. It was flavorful and fresh. So many places I've had pad Thai at make it so bland and sad. This place was a breath of fresh air. I also had crab Rangoon. The best crab Rangoon I've had in sooo long. So fresh. You could see the fresh herbs and real crab in them through the thin crispy wontons (&the cream cheese wasn't unbearably sweet per usual when it comes to rangoons). The sauce that came with it was different--good different. It was tangy and very very strong but it was such a perfect balance with the richness of the crab Rangoon. Came for a work trip to the area and didn't want the heavy typical American fare we usually have when in the area, so I turned to yelp. Found Basil Thai and ended up happy with everything. Spring rolls were a tasty start to the meal, then I had the drunken noodle, which hit the spot. Spice levels here aren't crazy, so don't be afraid to go high if you like it spicy. My colleague had the Pad See Ew and really enjoyed it. Service was prompt and food came out quickly. When I'm back in the area, I'll gladly hit this place up again for a meal outside of the ordinary. Wow! Just wow. After eating take out for over a year from so many places, my husband and I can not believe we had yet to explore Basil Thai. The food was perfection. Spiced perfectly, amazing flavors, and probably best that I've had in a long time. Not many Thai restaurants serve crispy Pad Thai, so, upon searching I was only presented with a handful of options in the Blue Ash area. I'd already tried another nearby restaurant so a co-worker and I headed to Basil Thai for lunch. There was no wait but the establishment has a good amount of people dining. We checked the menu before and decided to go for it. My co-worker had never had Thai food before so I recommended Pad Thai as I thought it would be a good introductory dish. We both ordered crispy Pad Thai with chicken. While I rather enjoyed the dish, my co-worker wanted more sauce and veggies in her dish. I thought it wasn't bad but needed a little more flavor and spice (I ordered 2 thinking it would have a just a little spice but there was none). The food was ok. A little on the bland side for Thai but it was edible. I don't mind spending a little more money but the portions are very small and on the expensive side. Paid extra for brown rice and only received a small half filled pint container. Soup was very good but again, $5.50 for a half filled pint container? I have to say, I left Basil Thai content, not having to roll me out. Their portions are not big but perfect for us. Tofu pad thai and chicken green curry was very good. With the Covid-19 dealio going on, I've been trying to support a lot of local businesses. I live in the middle of nowhere, but luckily I work in Mason, so I can do a lot of to-go food. Thai food is one of my favorite things to eat. Ever. And I love shoving food into my gaping maw. I decided to try these guys out, and due to the weekend and time, only their dinner menu was available. I ordered up a few dishes and they were very prompt with handing it to me when I picked it up. The food was decent, not as good as others, but again, I love Thai food and I'm a snob. Great service! Nice variety but not overwhelming! I had the Ginger Chicken and the vegetables were cooked perfectly and the variety was refreshing. I ordered it at a 1 out of 4 spice level and it certainly had a kick to it! Obviously, I don't love spicy foods, but do enjoy some tasty heat (think Tabasco sauce, medium salsa, or Asian zing at BW3s) Thank goodness they couldn't accommodate my request of a 1.5 lol. However, the absolute best part of the meal were the crab Rangoon's. BEST I've ever had. EVER. Also had the fresh spring roll that was definitely delicious. The menu looked to be the typical Thai selections, so instead of going with the staple (Pad Thai), I went with something I've never tried before at any Thai place - Rad Na (a wide noodle in gravy with chicken, carrots, broccoli) and it was incredible! I just became aware of Basil Thai a few days ago! Super close for me working in blue ash. Stopped in for lunch. I was struck by the decor. I kinda wished I hadn't done takeout and grabbed a coworker or two for a sit down lunch. Bright and modern, and the servers had hand held devices for interacting with the point of sale systems. Pretty cool. Onto the food, I had the red curry, and it was pretty good. The takeout portion came nicely sealed in a container that was absolutely not going to leak. The rice and curry were separate in the container, and I must say it was quite tasty. Great flavor. I'm going to head back to try the yellow curry in the near future and also - sushi! They have a pretty decent sushi menu that covers all the basics as well as a few more relatively exotic rolls to try. read more

We were a group of 6 & wanted to try this new place. Though it was lunch time & crowded we were seated without delays. However after getting our seats, neither the server nor anyone else showed up to ask for drinks/ food order for 15 minutes. Once our Lunch order was placed (no drinks/ water till this time) we had to continue waiting for another 30 minutes. On inquiry the only response we got was "Ok" :(:( post which we had to approach Restaurant Manager. It took them 40 minutes to bring food to our table & even that wasn't was what we ordered. Post explaining this it took another 5-10 minutes for our actual order to come by (near about an hour after placing the order). Service: Really very very slow. They were thoroughly short staffed. Staff: Amiable. Our server apologized for the delay in bringing our order. Food Quality: 1.5 out of 5. I have been to other Thai restaurants & all of them do ask for preferred spice level. This was not the case here & all of our 6 orders were more towards Sweet instead of Spicy. The food appeared to be prepared in a hurry. Fried rice didn't look or taste like it (rice were more in chunks & you could see the sauce not coating all of it). Definitely won't be visiting again. read more

Delicious food! I got the fresh rolls and seafood tom yum and they were great! The tom yum was full of concentrated flavor and I wish I had more :) Only complaint was that I got mine to go and they could work on their packaging. They used cardboard to separate the two packages and the soup slid off and the container leaked quite a bit. I get pho to go quite a bit and haven't had issues spilling to-go soups at other places. read more
