No the greatest or spiciest Thai I've ever had but pretty solid

I was late getting into town and checked Yelp quick from my hotel. I was thrilled to find this place. Quick delivery, tasty food.

One of our standby Thai restaurants. Great Drunken noodles dish with very tasty sauce & perfectly spiced. They don't serve alcohol but let you bring your own. Brought a bottle of wine. The owner came over with a corkscrew and several wine glasses without me even asking. Enjoyed a glass of my favorite wine without paying restaurant prices. read more

Basil Thai is good, but way overpriced. I don't know if I'm not ordering the right food, but it seems to lack the flavor layering most Thai foods should have. To me, it is elevated take out. read more

Love this place! 10 of us went after a work volunteer event and all ordered something different. Everyone loved what they ordered. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I ordered masuman curry and it was great but I was definitely jealously eyeballing my friend's ramen. They also have sushi! read more

My experience was short, but very pleasant. I stopped and got the Pad Thai with Pork to go and my service was quick and friendly. The Pad Thai was delicious- very flavorful, but not overwhelming like some can be with sauce etc. I'll be going again. read more

I have to admit by the number of people that were seated when I walked in, I was thinking this place must be great. I was disappointed that Sushi was not available, but more upset in the length of time it took to get my order. Others seated after me were served, not a good sign. When I asked (I had to ask) for the meal it was immediately served. This would have been salvaged if the meal was good. It was mediocre at best; bland and lukewarm. My guest's meal came out several minutes later then the appetizer showed up. The service was just not there. I would hesitate to choose Basil Thai for a weekday lunch again. read more

I have been here twice for lunch. Food is OK but service is not friendly. Today I was told seating for 1 was only at the sushi bar and some tables were open for 4. Customers should be accommodated for seating if it's open. I do not plan to return. There are other choices. read more

Nice quiet atmosphere, best tasting Thai food I've ever had! Would definitely recommend.

I work close by and go here for the pineapple fried rice. It is so different than any other fried rice I have had. It has chunky tomatoes which is strange but the curry seasoning, raisins and cashews create a very unique flavor combo. I have tried other dishes when I have been there with other people (pad Thai regular and crispy) and they weren't anything special but the pineapple fried rice is pretty delicious. I have also had the Thai tea with boba and it was good but it had a lot of ice and whipped cream. It is pricey. The fried rice is $11. read more

My daughter found this on Yelp as a venue for a 15-person birthday party and they were great. They let us bring our own beer and wine, and birthday cake, open the wines, put and lit candles on the cake, sang Happy Birthday along with us, provided attentive and solicitous service, split the checks as needed, and of course, gave us a good dinner and appetizers. We had a great lunch here. The Tom Yum soup was so flavorful and didn't have too many bamboo shoots. Service was very attentive, every time I needed a fresh ice tea, the waitress was there without asking. Best of all, this is a Thai restaurant that serves fresh noodles!!! My fiance said he was craving pad Thai so we hopped into this place after traveling from downtown Cincinnati over here to see a movie. We got crab Rangoon as an appetizer and wow!! Those things were fresh! $6 got you six Rangoons. Then we both got pad Thai. I got the regular chicken pad Thai and my fiance got the crunchy. We ended up combining them so we both got a little crunch with our regular noodles. The pad Thai was SO flavorful. It's some of the best I've ever had. We got a heat score of 2 out of 4. Perfection. The reason for 4 stars is that the sushi is way over priced. Like... Double what I usually pay for sushi. So I didn't get any like I had originally wanted. Also the server seemed really lackluster. But the service was quick so I can't complain too much there. Oh also.. They apparently don't have alcohol but u might be able to bring it in? Saw someone with a bottle of wine. Overall... There is a difference between good customer service and bothering customers. My guests and I were rushed in, rushed to order, rushed to clear our plates, and rushed to pay. The restaurant was not busy, so I understand that there was more opportunity to take exceptional care of our table. Unfortunately, this experience crossed the line. Me and my friend go here all the time for a quick fix after school. Their thai tea is great, and they have boba, which is always a good thing. The servers are all really nice and the food is great. I got the Bangkok Noodles, while my friend got Mango Curry, along with Thai Tea. We both enjoyed our meals, and the pricing was great! Going back. read more

This is a great lunch spot if you work in this area. While I typically go to Bangkok Terrace off of Kenwood Road, this thai restaurant is just as good quality. The food is good quality for a workday lunch and I remember the service being friendly. My entire group enjoyed their meals. read more

**Not Kid Friendly** no children menu and will not compromise on making a side side of noodles for children. This place is very expensive for what you order, especially for a medium size Pho...12.95. That's crazy expensive. Sushi rolls were delicious. The wait time to get our food took about 30 min. read more

On a second visit had to deduct a star for poor and confused service. Dishes were delivered to the wrong people and requests for utensils were ignored. The food was still delicious though. Maybe just a bad day. read more

Came here for the first time for a birthday dinner. Chicken Satay and Veggie Dumplings for appetizers, a delicious Chicken Coconut Soup and 3 of the 5 of us had Pad Thai. I am in town for business and was really looking forward to a delicious Thai dinner to conclude a work week away from home. I am not new to Thai food, nor meals away from home. I was really looking forward to my $40 worth of Thai- shrimp in a blanket, Tom kha soup, mango curry (3 spicy) with white rice- but immediately was let down when my food arrived with no utensils, napkins, anything. I had to leave my hotel suite, make my way down to the lobby during "rush hour" check in, and ask the front desk for cutlery. By the time I returned to my room the food was ice cold. Shrimp and soup aren't good cold, but I had a microwave at least for the food. . The mango curry with shrimp and chicken had two pieces of shrimp and the Tom kha soup was 95% broth. Mango curry was not spicy at- actually overly sweet. Flavors were average but for $40.. I could have had two steak dinners prepared at my hotel and would've at least had silverware. Suuuuuuper let down, thai Basil. You definitely could and should do better read more

A group of us ordered here for lunch pick-up. We were looking for a good Thai place, and we were not disappointed. I ordered the pad-see-ewe. It was delicious! Read many great reviews for this restaurant and thought I would give it a try. I ordered the crispy PadThai which was highly recommended. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. The steak I added was very dry and the crispy Pad Thai noodles weren't any better. After my wife and I spent $50 including door dash, I won't go back. read more

This place has just opened for a week and has already become a part of my daily life. I am a traveling consultant and I have had good Thai food in many places, so from my experience I can say that this place ranks among the top. Great ambience, great food and wonderful service! Lucky that this place is near to the hotel where I stay every week.
