I like this store for many reasons. They carry Boars Head in the deli, the best fresh bread and donuts abd a good meat department. So the shopping experience is good until you reach the checkout. They have a woman ringing customers who is just a nasty old bag who ruins the whole shopping experience. She acts like she's doing you a tremendous favor by ringing up your sale. She is always having a personal conversation with whoever may be hanging around so you are basically ignored when you first walk up to the checkout and then she will continue to talk while she's ringing the sale. Their pharmacy staff have always exceeded my expectations with very professional service and they are always pleasant and have addressed my concerns when required and I have not had to wait no more than fifteen minutes for my prescriptions each time presented. I wish I could give a zero! My husband and I went to Bashas specifically for a deal on Newport Shrimp rings. It says in the add 51-60 count shrimp for $4.99 but the shrimp they had for $4.99 was only about 20 count shrimp so we asked to butcher where the shrimp is that is in the add. He said they don't have a 51-60 count shrimp ring and they only have the small one that is 20 count for $4.99. We saw a manager so asked if he could help. He went and got the add so we could show him what we were talking about. My husband explained that we wanted what was advertised the manager looked at the butcher and said "you got this?" and the butcher said "yes" and the manager walked away he didn't even say anything to us or even try to help! This is the worse service we have every received at any grocery store!! They refused to honor the add or even attempt to help us! The fact that the manager didn't even listen to us is horrible! We will never go back to Bashas and we will tell everyone we know to never shop there either! read more

This store drives me crazy. I am all for supporting local businesses but not when the local businesses suck! This store has the WORST layout I have ever seen. I can never find anything. On multiple occasions I have had to ask a worker where something was only to find out they don't carry it or the worker doesn't even know. On top of all that the prices are consistently the highest I have seen. I don't have the time or money to shop here! read more

Basha's is a great store if you shop with children. The best perk is the child care center. The ladies who work in it are very nice and great with my kids. Basha's is a bit overpriced and does not carry everything, but it is good when I need a few sane 'mommy moments' to shop in peace. To me, that is worth the extra $10 I will spend there. This Basha's location has a good deli and cold cut selection. Beyond this, however, most of the feedback for this store is negative. Prices are generally higher than surrounding grocers. Cashiers (usually the same one or two cashiers) are often rude or even missing from the register entirely. Today was our last trip to this grocery store, and we had to wait for a cashier to come back to the register for several minutes. The self-check registers are often not functioning correctly, and this is especially frustrating because we have yet to see a staff member available to assist with errors. Using the self-check registers requires going to the customer service counter to request assistance, and this takes far too long in the end. Items may double scan or not scan at all, the card reader may not function correctly, etc.. The last significant complaint about this store is the fact that perishables are often dated to expire in just a few days or even less. The first loaf of off-the-shelf bread we picked up today expired two days ago, for example. The bagged salads in our choice variety all expired tomorrow. Any of these complaints would not be too significant on their own or just on occasion, but these complaints are all valid and present every time we visit this location. It is very disappointing, and we will be shopping at other grocers going forward, even if it means us driving slightly further to go there. read more

The only thing I have to comment on is the pizza from the deli. I along with my family have loved the pizza for a very long time. As of recent, pizza has changed and not for the better. Hoping it goes back to the way it was and soon. Prior to this, I would have given it more than 5 stars. To the credit of customer service, they are looking into what changes have occurred. Service is terrible. Food is always misplaced especially in the meat department. Self checkout is a joke, it never works correctly. Their sale prices are higher than Fry's regular prices. I suggest Fry's over this store read more

Well, I must say, for a bakery in a supermarket, i was quite impressed! From their beautiful cakes, to their awesome crusty bread, their assortment is excellent. Oh, don't forget the donuts....tons and tons of donuts! I love the apple filled triangles...tasty! read more

This store is Awesome! The staff is always great and I LOVE that it has the child play center! The prices are a little higher then other stores but I will gladly pay a little more for peace and maintaining my sanity while shopping lol. The employee at the play center is also great, she has such a good personality and is great with the children. The cashier's are also very happy and much better then other local stores. I've never had to wait for more then a few minutes to check out. read more

Worst service EVER. I waited an hour and 20 minutes for my 1 extra large pizza with 4 toppings. Only one lady is left on her own to make and bake the pizzas. The manager in the pizza section was incredibly rude, and ignored us for most of the time. When we finally got our pizza, we found out they added extra toppings to make up for the long wait time (they didn't even consult us to ask if we wanted extra toppings-we could've been allergic to any of those toppings) AND our pizza wasn't fully cooked. The heavily topped pizza slid right off the pizza bread, leaving a bare pizza. We asked for a refund and they didn't know what they were doing when attempting to process a refund and so they directed us to go to the customer service desk for our refund. They made us hop all around the store. Bashas just shouldn't have a pizza section if they're not going to offer edible pizza! I'm sure this isn't the first complaint! I had the worst service here and I want Bashas to fix this issue, I won't ever be purchasing pizza from them again. read more

The store has low turn over of food, so there are lots of deals on items about to expire. but beware, I have came home with rotten food from the Surprise Basha's several times. Staff is nice. But the store is very expensive. Managament is rude and unattentive. your better off going to fry's. read more

This review is for Janet who works in the florist department. I came in to get balloons for my daughters birthday. A few hours after returning home, I walked into my living room to find they were almost deflated! I went back up to get them refilled. I was speaking to another employee when Janet, who was just leaving (had her coat on and everything) noticed the balloons I had with me. Even though she was off the clock, she took the time to fill up some brand new balloons for my daughter and I. The balloon arrangement she made was gorgeous and Janet was incredibly sweet. She even walked them out to the car for us. Janet deserves some recognition, not only being a great employee but a genuinely kind individual. Thank you, Janet! God Bless x read more

I'll start off with the good, and the only reason I kept from a one star review. The employees, especially at the deli counter and hot food area, are very nice and always accommodating. Also the bakery is great. Now for the bad. Every time I shop here I come home with expired food, or items that show no expiration date and have been sitting for way too long (Like the assorted Baklava desserts I had to return today). For me to shop here with confidence I need to spend another 30 minutes just looking at expiration dates to verify that I'm not buying bad food. I live in Marley Park and would love to support my local market, but its hard to when the stock is not kept up in the same standard as every other market I have ever been to. I was even warned by an employee once to "always check the dates cause stuff is expired all the time here". That's bad when an employee tells you that. Sorry Bashas, but I have to take my business elsewhere from now on. read more

I stopped in for my regular Starbucks run. The starbucks employees are always helpful and sweet so if I was just reviewing them they would get 5 Stars. Now on to the rest of the store. I have always liked to do the self check out here because the cashiers old and young are very grumpy and I don't think they know what the word customer service means. I went to the bakery and got my bakery items. The cashier there was helping someone ahead of me and quickly walked away as it was my turn!! Really? So I waited as another employee back there is trying to ignore me as well while she is pretty much face to face with me!! She glances up and quickly looks back down again. A gentleman behind them who didn't see me looks at me and asks if I have been helped. I said no so he told them 3 times that someone was waiting to be helped. WOW!! I then need to buy something else in the store and notice that self check is not available. I stand behind only 1 person for probably 5 minutes and the cashier is giving a recipe or something to the customer ahead of me. Ummmm hello! I'd like to pay! I just left my stuff there and left. They seriously need to work on their customer service. read more
