Got my prescription sent here today and double checked the hours and availability by calling the automated system that answers the phones. It told me that not only were my prescriptions ready, but that the pharmacy was currently open and open until 6pm tonight. Of course, when my wife pulled up, there was a written note on the window saying "Pharmacy is closed @ 1:30pm (it was 2:30 when she got there, so lunch was definitely over) The register staff just said "the automated times aren't official". What a joke. Why have the automated times at all? Why have an automated phone system if it gives incorrect information? I'd rather speak to a human that could've told me this hours ago instead of wasting our time like that. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this Walgreens. I came to pick up my photos and waited at the photo counter, clearly visible, yet was completely ignored. I rang the bell for assistance, which didn't work--something the employees were apparently aware of but never addressed. Even though staff saw me standing there, no one came over to help. One employee was chatting with another while checking out customers but still didn't acknowledge me. I eventually had to walk over, wait in line, and ask if someone could assist me or if I was supposed to help myself. Only then was I told, somewhat rudely, that the bell was broken. This kind of service is unacceptable--customers should not have to chase down help, especially when the staff can clearly see someone is waiting. A little courtesy and attention would go a long way. read more

We visit this location when our local location is out of allergy medicine. We also use it to get cute gifts down the toy isle when I cannot find them anywhere else. Clean bright store. Convenient and very friendly emplyees. One of the gentleman held an item for us after checking in stock for it first. I want to provide an update in hopes someone else can avoid this MESS. My doctor sent my prescription here, I waited 4 WEEKS in these 4 WEEKS, I called this pharmacy FOUR times. Each time I was told the prescription was not in stock and they would order it, "it should come in tomorrow". After waiting WEEKS without taking my prescription and multiple calls later, the girl I spoke to casually tells me, they no longer carry that prescription, you can try Fry's if you want. So they couldn't tell me that the three other times I called- WAITING on hold for 30-1 hour each time. ABSOLUTELY NEVER using this pharmacy again. I had my doctor send this prescription to Fry's, it was ready the same afternoon, so far no issues with them. read more

I went to this location for the first time on Friday August 18th @ 11am. Once walked in automatically noticed it's a older store due to the setup & the flooring. After I selected my items; took them to the register & $2 coupon printed off after my purchase. I decided to use my coupon right away but also noticed when they printed out my coupon it was extremely faded. The cashier could not scan the coupon & called the manager over. Once the manager came over due to their bad printer's in their stores; she could not read any numbers & the barcode could not scan either so she could only add $2 rewards to my Walgreens account. I was a little annoyed because I could not get my item for free or less & had to pay out of pocket. This location definitely need updates & the store needs remodeling. The manager also said multiple requests were put in for their printer systems & nothing has been done. read more

I was at Walgreens on April 31th and didnt see anything regarding the pharmacy being closed on sundays, nor was i told. I also was in the pharmacy drive through on May 30th, also no notes on windows or a verbal statement stating they're now closed on sundays. Its now June 29th and im calling and being redirected to Walgreens no the pharmacy. Why not leave a sign somewhere letting people know? Communication is key man. Idk where we as a society stopped communicating things in general. But its creating irritated customers which then employees have to deal with angry customers when they just need to communicate and either someone from the top isnt telling people to do so, or they're not verifying that the task of communication is getting completed read more

Stopped in at this location to visit the pharmacy. All personnel were wearing masks and the were very friendly. I needed an item from both the pharmacy and the front of the store - so I got to experience both. The store was well stocked and clean. I will probably be back if I'm in the area again. read more

I guess it is corporate that went down hill, because all of the Walgreens have issues!? Pharmacies are the worst. They no longer keep up on your scripts when they are on auto refill, or need a new script. They say that you have to call the dr. Why are customers told now to do their job. It is not that hard. I have been to this location in person a few times. There is a closer location to my home that I frequent most of the time. I scheduled a vaccination here when I was pregnant because they had the brand I was looking for. The entire experience with both vaccinations was very good. Both people administering the shots were friendly and professional. From this perspective it's a great location to visit. I placed an online order for pick up there last night (while they were still open). I got a message it was delayed and not picked last night. Today they have been open for 3.5 hours and still have not touched my order. The order is for 3 items. The app says in as little as 30 minutes. Don't believe the hype. You'd be better off going to the store. Customer service says it's a normal thing. I canceled the order because the whole point was saving the money on the item I wanted and saving my time by not going to multiple stores to find it. I placed an online order at my normal store and it wasn't in stock even though it was listed as available when I placed the order- that store btw had my order in about 45 minutes just not the item the app said they had. I'm not sure if that will happen again since anyone could shop it while they aren't picking it up for me. So I'm not going to wait. I saw at at CVS for $7 more and not on sale but it was in stock so I will go there. So in review the pharmacy and vaccinations were great here. The accuracy of in stock items on the app and the quoted times for a store pick up are not. read more

Transfered all my family prescriptions from Frys to this location. The app is wonderful and easy to use. Pharmacy very efficient and keeps me updated on what is going on. This is the most friendly and competent pharmacy I have found in 20 years. Highly recommend. read more

I tried getting a photo made and the clerk was very discourteous and fast ...demanding. Walgreens is loosing my business.

This pharmacy has no clue what they are doing. You call and they tell you they have the prescription and that it will be ready in 1 hour. You get there and its on back order will be here in two days. Two days later, you call to ask if its ready, they say "did you want us to fill it?" This happened multiple times. They always try to give you brand so they can charge you more and when you ask for generic they ask "you want generic?" and then takes them another day to get it ready. Every. Single. Time. I have to beg them to grow a brain cell and figure out what they are supposed to be doing. read more

I was running a little fever and had to go to the nearest Urgent Care. We had to grab some meds obviously right after. So we went and this branch is very clean and organized. one thing I love about coming to pharmacies is I could grab some make ups, yeah I only get my make ups at the pharmacies or Walmart hehe! it doesn't have to be expensive to be pretty let me tell ya! haha and another thing, I have some sort of fascination with stuff animals ever since I was little! they just give special kind of happiness Lol ^_^ and this over here got more stuff animals.. and my latest favorite now are things called-" Squishmallows"! they are just super cute, soft, and just soo squishable! hehe we are kinda in the mood of collecting them all!^_^ So while we're waiting for my prescription (which didn't took for so long) we took our time to grab these stuff animals. Glad they got what we were looking for! My daughter woke up feeling off on Tuesday and we decided to try the clinic. We made an appointment online which was very easy and within an hour we were signed in and already with the nurse. She was so professional and polite. Made my daughter feel very comfortable. Unfortunately she ended up having strep throat, but we were in and out with an antibiotic within an hour. I will definitely be using them more now that I know what a great service they offer. read more

Had my doctor send over a prescription on Friday. Later that day I received an email from Walgreens pharmacy that they are temporarily closed (whatever this means). You would think they could have notified my doctor so he could call me and ask for another pharmacy to send my prescription to. The Walgreens on Grand in Surprise is just as bad unfortunately. Walgreens on Cotton & Bell Surprise AZ. If you want lack of customer service, rude young staff in the pharmacy who don't greet you or even thank you for helping to supply them a job. Pharmacist named Susan oh wow what a charmer. After hanging up on me twice the 3rd call she thought if she yelled very fast I would just hang up. I did. I then called the region mgr. I'd change pharmacies but this one has the best ratings. Just a terrible place, pharmacy only. The rest of the store is clean, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I have great difficulty walking so I'm stuck with this pharmacy and drive through. Maybe one day a mgr will tell the window person to speak the heck up. A crummy speaker, plus a window somebody pay attention! The pandemic became an excuse for not providing customers any kind of service. Moving to AZ was the worst medical care choice I ever made! Who would have thought you needed to check any basic care out? Avoid this pharmacy at all cost. Oh let's not forget lunch break and the pharmacy is closed!! I used this Cain in the Midwest for 15 years. Never a problem. This past week my Dr put the wrong fill date and she told me tell them to call. They absolutely REFUSED! That has never happened before. The clinic here no longer takes walk in and has no empathy. They don't allow for things like being stuck in traffic. If you're not there right on time, they will cancel your appointment. I spoke with the provider and she refused to treat even though nobody else was there waiting. Sad to know that a medical provider will refuse to treat an obviously sick patient. read more

The nurse brought me to the back on time and I am picking up my prescription at 10:15am (yes, it is ready for pick up!). She also printed up coupon for discount on prescription. I was diagnosed with small fiber poly peripheral neuropathy and fibromyalgia 7 years ago these two are the most painful diseases that I have ever experienced, even broken ribs and 3 compressions fractures in my back. With that being said, I have had many different prescriptions, conventional and unconventional. I have been told that nerve pain is very difficult to treat. My prescriptions are opioids, muscle relaxers, gabapentin, anti-depressants (help with nerve pain). I have had pharmacist out right tell me that they won't fill my prescriptions because I can die. I had a pharmacist tell me " I am the pharmacists and I can deny anyone I want" as I stand before them with prescription in hand and near tears due to pain. For about 2 years it was find the pharmacy that had my prescriptions in stock being opioids they won't tell you over the phone. We would have to drive from pharmacy to pharmacy. Until I found a Walgreens that had a great pharmacist, staff, had no issues with my scripts and my medication was always in stock. I continued to use this Walgreens even after we moved 40 minutes away but, I feel that your pharmacist is just as important as your physician. Then the unthinkable happened my pharmacist left, he quit my heart sunk. I am once again on the prowl for a new pharmacy and pharmacist. After reading reviews and checking maps I do believe I found my new pharmacist Joann at Walgreens 15490 Reems and Bell. I made the call in which I spoke to a very polite, courteous, and knowledgeable pharm tech when I was done speaking to her she turned the call over to the pharmacist. Joanne was also polite and courteous she answered all of my questions some she couldn't over the phone since they involved opioids and would have to wait until we were face to face with the prescriptions in hand. Who would ever have thought that being a pharmacist would become a dangerous job. I was even told that if they didn't have enough medication to fill my order that I wouldn't have to drive around trying to find a store to fill my prescription, that they would call their sister stores for me. read more
