I happened to be in the area of BCE and it just so happened that I also had a few graded cards that I was hoping to trade or sell in my car so I stopped in. This place is awesome! It's a huge space! They have a very cool, extensive collection of junk wax packs for sale. They also have an enormous amount of single cards from all eras of every major sport. I was able to trade my cards for a high value vintage card that I had on my list for a long time and the exchange was so incredibly easy and the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and honest. I don't live close to BCE but I would certainly consider coming back based on this experience. Thanks guys! read more

When you can go to a retail store day of the product and can get the product for MSRP and then you go to the hobby store and they are marking the product up by an exorbitant amount of money you can see that the store clearly does not care about their customers and does not care about serving the hobby and they only have one thing in mind make as much money as possible from unsuspecting customers not knowing better save your gas, money and time and find your cards elsewhere read more

I have been purchasing products from BBCE for about 6 months and have been dissappointed. My purchases extend from full boxes, single packs and specialty items to complete sets. During my purchases I have discovered that while purchasing sealed wax packs and sealed boxes of wax packs, there had been a lack of sealing wax. I have opened boxes and half the box of packs were missing wax and open. Statistically speaking this is highly improbable. Additionally, almost one third of the packs opened from boxes have been almost identical cards. For instance, my most current purchase of 1986 and 1987 donruss, almost half of each box were almost completely comprised of the same packs with considerable variations. These variations consisted of the puzzle piece in the middle of the pack to multiple upside down cards and multiple cards flipped backwards in packs. Within both boxes I think I got a Nolan Ryan and a few other good cards but for the most part they were scrub players. I think I now have 47 Todd Worrells. This is not an isolated incident. This has also occurred in the 1986 box of Topps, where I discovered 4 packs missing 2 to 3 cards. I emailed BBCE and received no response. Be careful when purchasing from this company and only buy rack pack or cello, it appears that they go through their junk wax. read more

bought an "unopened" "factory sealed" box of 1986 Topps. was NOT factory sealed and looks to be sifted thru re-glued packs. Fraud already. out of 36 packs. ALL were Duds. If you want to feel robbed and open dud packs that have that fraudulent feel. This is the place for you. baseball is Americas sport. BB card collecting is the shady red district of baseball. read more

I came here for GI Joe cards and got them for a steal. Only $3.5 million for 6 boxes. They even threw it in a Pokemon box for me!

I went to this business to ask about selling different types of sports and entertainment cards. The person working there was busy looking through cards. Never once looked up from his task, barely spoke and was really not interested in me or my questions. I will try another business in the area with someone who cares about customers. read more

Swung by after work one day looking for some G.I. Joe trading cards and got lucky, only $3.50 for 6 packs!

Amazing! They frame your stuff and have the coolest collection of new and old cards! 10/10

I bought a card for 50$ and I went on eBay and it was 300$ and my friend got a rookie kobe for 30$ we made a great profit

Went for the Jose Canseco signing yesterday. It was a decent turnout. They were a little tense with all the people in the store. We arrived around 12:30 so he was almost finished with most of the public. Canseco was an awesome guest. He even allowed me to snap a pic with him. I appreciated the hologram COA's they provided with each item, nice touch. I bought 2 boxes of 2008 Heritage (tough to find) and they were at a great price. Love the layout of the store. Nice selection of autographs. The wax is the best inventory I've ever seen. Reasonably priced, in some cases better than online. I'll be back to this store. Best store within 75 miles of Chicago. read more

Baseball Card Exchange - Signed at BBCE - Hobby Shops Near Me - Schererville, Indiana

A great place for sports memorabilia without having to trek to the northern suburbs. They have tons of autographed merchandise for sale, balls, jerseys, photos, cards, And not just baseball, they have representation from all major American sports. They also do autograph signings in their shop. I have done this twice (once for Paul Konerko and once for Andrew Shaw). You check-in and get a number, then they call chunks of numbers to the back warehouse where the line forms. They try really hard to be organized. Ultimately it's really not. There is very little communication between those in charge, those waiting in the store, and those waiting outside. Both times it has been weird confusion followed by echoes of "oh crap what number are they on?!" They would really benefit from a P.A. system and some walkie talkies. Oh and if any employee could wander the floor for explanation and assistance that would be awesome too. Singings organization aside, I do like this shop, and I'm happy they are able to get the big names out to NWI. read more

I've bought a few boxes of stuff here. Stuffs a little overpriced especially considering they're sending people to buy out retail stores and reselling it at 4x the price. I was in the shop and the same guy I see standing at the card section at every retail store walks in with Panini Prizm football and sells the sealed box for $350. Shops doing this ruin anyone else from buying an affordable product. All their sealed wax is overpriced. read more

BBC Exchange has been in business a long time and is the standard for buying vintage unopened packs. I bought an 84 Donruss wax pack and there was a Rickey Henderson clearly visible through the wax on the back. That's proof enough to me that they are reputable, not like those who cherry pick the packs they sell. The packs I ordered came quickly and packaged securely and properly with ample styrofoam peanuts. I have since ordered more packs and will again. It's nice being able to get the cards that I didn't get back in the 80s. read more

Awesome public signings! I went to the Bobby Hull and Jose Canseco signings. Really looking forward to Andrew Shaw. Very well organized and reasonably priced. They also allowed us to snap a picture with each celeb! And a business that has Jim Cornelison singing the national anthem at their grand opening is beyond amazing! This is probably the only place I'll buy my dad presents from for now on! read more

This is truly the BEST card shop in the country. The customer service is outstanding. I've been a regular customer for several years. Always willing to help and always the best prices around. Want to give a special shout to Amanda and Joe! Joe is always a great resource. Amanda is the best! She seems to make it an enjoyable hobby from the 5 year old kid in the store to the grandfathers talking about their collections way back in the day and everyone between. Great products and Great people! Highly recommended! read more
