We ordered coffee; however, it was served lukewarm rather than hot. After notifying our server, a fresh cup was provided, though it again lacked sufficient heat. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan Alfredo, which proved to be exceptional. The pasta was rich and creamy, complemented by a generous layer of Parmesan cheese. The chicken Parmesan was perfectly cooked, with well-balanced breading and a flavorful sauce that carried a subtle hint of citrus zest. When my dining partner and I walked into the restaurant past several unbussed tables on the patio, it should have been the first indication that service was going to be slow. However, I was optimistic when I saw several empty tables and what appeared to be an abundance of staff members working-maybe they just got a little behind, I thought to myself. However, after being seating and waiting an uncomfortable amount of time for our server to come around, I realized that my early skepticism was warranted. We got 2 smoked salmon benedict's, the breakfast sandwich, biscuits and chorizo gravy, and the steak and eggs. I got the smoked salmon benedict. It was a very salty dish. Honestly a bit too salty for me. My boyfriend loved his steak and eggs and my dad thought the biscuits and chorizo gravy was very unique. So busy I felt bad for everyone working as they seemed frantic. :( Be warned if you have a late reservation, we were told at 8:55 that they were closing the kitchen. It wasn't a problem for us as we had already ordered and received our food, but I could see that causing issues in other cases. For drinks, I had a glass of the sauvignon blanc. I am not crazy about them serving wine in thick glassed, stemless wine glasses. I don't think stemless wine glasses belong in restaurants. We first ordered the focaccia. Visited here twice for breakfast while in town. The service is quick and efficient. There is an open kitchen which I always love. Cappuccino Is on point and mine had a cute little design. We ordered the blueberry pancake. It was topped with lemon, curd and almonds. It was pretty tasty. Also had the breakfast sandwich which had a delicious patty of sausage on it. Solid 4/5 for brunch! The Avocado Toast paired with Mocha Latte with oat milk is just fantastic. I was really impressed by how smooth the mocha latte is. 5/5. One of the pieces of French Toast had a side that was burnt, the other two pieces were cooked properly. The fruit and candied walnut topping were great. 4/5 The focaccia bread that accompanied the Traditional Breakfast was burnt, hard, and inedible. One of my favorite Burrata salads. Perfectly balanced with the pistachio pesto. Great place for brunch, lunch, or dinner. The chai tea, coffee, and hot chocolate are all great. The portions are a good size. A nice cafe restaurant. The Sugar House & Park City location are both great. The garlic bread is a great side. Brunch: The French toast was very good & a fresh take with the addition of peaches and nuts. The breakfast sandwich was hearty, filling, and had incredible flavor. Adding an over easy egg would have enhanced the sandwich. The traditional breakfast is my go to. Lots of flavor in the sautéed veggies. The potato's pair really well with the hollandaise sauce. For lunch & dinner The Burrata salad is always my go to. The weekly risotto with Parmesan, peas & asparagus was unique twist on a classic and my fiancé absolutely loved it. There is one red sauce, which is made with anchovies, chili flakes, and marinara Pichana Steak & Eggs: 6oz top sirloin, 2 eggs, Demi-sauce, house potato wedges. I got my eggs soft poached and my steak medium-rare. The portion-size was pretty good. The house potato wedges were crispy on the edges and seasoned well! The demi-sauce was also good. I am not a fan of Bartolo's for dinner but they just won me over for breakfast. Everything was fresh, prices were reasonable for Park City and the atmosphere had a perfect mellow Mountain Cafe vibe. Not to mention it's hard to find a sit-down breakfast spot midweek. They lose a star for trying to charge me double to switch to decaf. Don't call it an Americano and make it sound special. We have been to Bartolo's many times, sometimes with 9 people, and have tried lots of different things on the menu. I have to say that we have never had a meal that we didn't enjoy! The service is friendly but professional. Their housemade pasta is delicious no matter which type you choose. We loved the mussels and clams, the shrimp spaghetti, the bolognese sauce, and the octopus was delicious too! Their breakfasts are awesome-the French toast was amazing, as is the blueberry Dutch baby pancake with lemon curd. Loved the Bloody Mary as well! Great place for groups, something for Everyone. The rigatoni that I had must have came from a box of pasta as it was skinny, and undercooked and hard inside. But the bolognese sauce was flavorful. Just okay in my opinion. Average food and service. but a few annoyances... Food: Average - I had the Spicy Sausage A La Vodka Rigatoni ($25). Fairly bland to be honest, nothing I couldn't make just as good at home for a fraction of the cost. - My daughter (17) had the Seafood Cioppino ($32 + $2 extra to add spaghetti in the mix). This was really good overall and she really enjoyed it. The potatoes in this are almost worth it on their own! I will say that the amount of seafood in this dish was slightly skimpy, and I would prefer they deshell the mussels and clams prior to serving. (I know, they do this for presentation, but they also do it for volume so they can get away with providing a lesser amount of expensive proteins.) Service: Average - Our waitress was very polite, but I wouldn't say she was necessarily attentive. After delivering our dinners, she came back once about 10+ minutes later to refill water. After that, we waited about 20+ minutes to get boxes and pay our bill. This was late afternoon/early evening, not the dinner rush, and the restaurant was about 1/3 full at best. Not bad service per se, but not really that good either. Ambience: Relaxing - Casual, quiet and mostly non-pretentious. Simple and tasteful decor, with a half-open kitchen which allows you to see your dishes prepped for serving (if you're paying attention). Again, we were there during a non-busy time of day, but we both enjoyed the experience. My daughter and I were able to enjoy conversation and lots of laughs. Irritations: Two (one minor, one major) - Minor. The waitress asked if we wanted garlic bread prior to the meal, so of course I said yes. Even Cheesecake Factory, Spaghetti Factory and Sizzler offer complimentary bread, right? What I didn't know was 1) the garlic bread was a $7 upsell, and 2) my daughter's meal already came with a large half-loaf of the same garlic bread, more than enough for a party of two! Our waitress knew this but upsold this anyway. Ok, I should have read the menu more carefully, so I guess I'll split the guilt on this one. - Major!!! They use portable bill paying devices, sort of like big and heavy cell phones than will read your card and generate a receipt. I have no problem with the tech... except that our waitress stood over me, watching me enter my card and then proclaiming that the next screen was where I needed to enter "THE TIP"! She actually stood over me and watched as I entered in her gratuity! Again, I suppose I'll split the guilt once again since I could have asked her to just come back after I was done paying. Extremely annoying nonetheless. This alone is what actually brought my review down from 3 stars to 2 stars. Overall: Disappointed, will not return - Overpriced, even by Park City standards. - Mediocre food, mediocre service. - Very annoying "tip-mining" practices by waitstaff. - There are several Italian restaurants in downtown PC that, while a bit more pricey, offer far better cuisine, far better service and a far better dining experience than Bartolo's or any of the others in the Snyderville/Kimball Junction area off the I-80. read more

Had an 8:15 reservation here on a Friday. They seated us very quickly. Service was quick which was great. The ricotta appetizer was AMAZING! The charcuterie was decent but not something I would crave again. I've had much better cheeses and salamis. But the pickles and romesco were delicious! The daily special risotto was just ok. My favorite thing was their homemade pastas. The texture was amazing! I would definitely go back to try more of their pastas! I think next time I would try their wines instead of a cocktail. Holy crap is really all I can think to say. I was not expecting Bartolo's to be as amazing as it was. The environment is pretty standard for an upscale Italian restaurant, but the ambiance was so entertaining. They played the best music. The service was okay - our server wasn't super friendly, but she was attentive and knowledgeable. The food though. And the drinks. You guys. My mind was absolutely blown. Bartolo's has, hands down, the most DIVINE Spinach Artichoke dip I have EVER had in my LIFE. I seriously can't get over how amazing it was. The Baked Eggs too, you wouldn't think would have me craving going back, but here we are, the sauce it was served in was mouthwatering. And the one cocktail I had was soooo good. The Strawberry basil mule I think... order it. It's fantastic. If these dishes were so fantastic, I am pretty confident pretty much everything is amazing. Do yourself a favor and go. read more
