Tonight while driving down 104, in Webster, in the right-hand lane, suddenly a Barts Tow truck/flatbed speeds up so his front bumper is about a foot away from my rear bumper slams on his horn, and runs my daughter and me off the road. So...read all these negative reviews and my experience is on the other end of the spectrum. Had an accident few days ago and went back yesterday to collect personal goods - polite, helpful (loaned me screwdrivers for license plate) and took time to ask how I was doing. I hope I don't need these services again but this was a single positive experience related to my accident. Highly recommend. read more

Barth towing is a crook. They hooked up my daughters car with out asking and when her card was declined for payment they towed her car to their shop. I asked before they went to the shop to run my card and they said "it was against company policy". When I asked for the policy at the shop they then told me it was not a policy!!! Then they held the car hostage on the truck until payment was made. I went to pay with my card and they refused. Cash Only??? Hiding money from IRS???? As the car was on the truck I noticed there was not dirt or mud on the bottom after they told her it was buried. What a horrible experience for a new driver to be taken advantage of. Rude Unprofessional and crooked!!!!!!!! By the way the charge went from $60 dollard to $232.00 for a 1 mile tow and 25 minutes of time. read more

Story time... Once upon a time there was a man named Adam. Adam was in a car accident and his vehicle was brought to a towing yard. When he went to retrieve the $1000+ worth of CD's and electronics from his car, they were nowhere to be found. The owner of the towing place said, "I'm sorry Adam. We don't know what could have happened to your belongings." The next day Adam called the owner and told him that he was going to call the police. To that, the owner replied, "No, don't do that! I can file a claim with my insurance company." Adam agreed and tallied up the value of the missing items. He told the owner the amount and then ended the call. Then, miraculously, the owner called Adam back. He told him that his belongings had turned up. WOW! AMAZING! They just popped out of thin air!! Adam was overjoyed by the miracle the owner had performed for him. If you can't sense my sarcasm by now, you deserve to have your things stolen. I know you generally don't have a choice of where to have your car toed, but avoid this place when possible. If you're in an accident, take your valuables with you. If there is a 'no parking - violators will be toed to Barth' sign, Park somewhere else!! read more

Had the honor of meeting "Junior" (not sure if that's his real name or nick name) today after I was involved in a crash. When I told Junior where I wanted my car towed, he began to give me a hard time, telling me that it would eventually get there but was going to his shop for now. After I instructed him several times of where it was to go, he was nice enough to tell me that "I know how it is" because I'm a fireman (saw my winter cap and jacket). We were in the middle of a snow storm, so the only things he was worried about was 1) dropping off my truck to get back on the road and 2) collecting storage fees from the insurance company while my truck sits there. Long story short, after getting into an argument with Junior and being treated extremely poorly, he said it would go right to my destination of choice, and not "eventually" end up there. **I had planned to call the owner and discuss this directly with him, but after Googling the place for the phone number and coming across Nicole's C.'s review from 2/1/2012, I won't waste my time. read more

All other reviews aside, and knowing Ron Barth's presence in the Webster community as a reputable business with over forty years experience in towing and automotive care I must say that even a trained eyeball would have a hard time finding any problems with the repair work he performed on my truck. My 2009 Ford Escape was unfortunately hit in the driver's rear door. After some deliberating on where my vehicle would be fixed Ron Barth Sr. made me a very reasonable estimate, and promptly took to working on the truck at his earliest convenience. My truck was dropped off on 2/21/16 which is easily one of the busiest times of year for any auto body repair facility. When I called Ron Sr. later on in the week I was surprised to hear that the truck was in the process of being repaired and should be ready early the week of 2/29/16. As a matter of fact no later than 2:51 pm on Monday the 29th did I receive a call from Ron Sr. stating my truck was finished! I went over to review the work and was very satisfied with the paint quality on the door which he had replaced. I would gladly recommend his shop again on any given day. read more

Story time for me too. Stopped in to clean out my husband's car the day after a large snow storm. Ron told me oh the car is way in the back and covered with snow. You can't even get to it. Why don't you come back when it melts. So, I came back when it was melted and found out to my surprise, the car left his lot that morning (I was there at lunchtime). I asked why I wasn't called so I could clean out everything. They didn't know. They just told me where it went - somewhere in Leroy. My son showed up and went into the office and asked where it went and asked them to at least write down the name of the place with an address so we could find it. Oh and then when my son was there one of the plates miraculously appeared. Why wasn't I given the plate when I was in there? Something just doesn't feel right about this place. So, now we have to drive all the way to Leroy to clean out the car. I should bill Barth for my mileage and trouble of going all the way to Leroy when he should of notified me it was going to be moved that morning. He knows me, we both went to Webster schools. You would think a Webster business would take care of their own people, but I guess not. Too bad he is the only towing company in Webster. Everyone's car ends up here and it's a shame. Someone that really doesn't give a crap about the people. Sounds like we need to get a little competition going so Ron Barth's attitude, customer service and all the rest of his business improves. Because it's really a mess now and especially the way he deals with people. read more
