If a negative number was an option, that would have been my choice. The pharmacy is a joke! Until you physically show up to pick up your prescription, they do not have it started nor filled. Most of the time you do not feel like waiting "20 minutes" for it to be filled when you are on your way home from a medical appointment/issue. They also fill one of your monthly meds at a time, send you a generic message that your meds are ready, and again you have to wait as only one has been filled. Employees are rude and unprofessional as I am sure due to unhappy customers all day their moods down by the end of their shifts. I also never want to hear the excuse any business is short staffed. Not my issue and supervisors or owners of the businesses need to hire or get into these businesses and pick up the slack. read more

Pretty disappointed with their customer service. Their pharmacy never answers the phone. Their answering machine actually gives you an option to connect with someone who can check on items in the store and the guy said he doesn't know if they had the item (one item) I was requesting and instead of checking for me, just told me that all he could do was connect me with the pharmacy, even after I told him they never answer their line. I know this sounds like something stupid to complain about but my husband was driving all over town to find a certain over-the-counter medication for our baby and it would have been helpful for him not to have to drive there for nothing. read more

Need meds? Don't go here. I've tried using them for the last month and have transferred my prescriptions to another pharmacy. Stood in line forever, they didn't have my meds ready. When they were "ready," it was only one of three. Then, and I'm not lying here, when I went back, they had two of three. Third time was the charm with three of three. This place! The people used to be super helpful and kind. However, within the last six months, I have noticed that prices as marked are not being honored. For example, 5hr energy six pack shows $10.99 on the shelf, but will ring up as $13.99. Previously, the cashier would fix it, and honor. They have had this long to change the tags, right? Or perhaps fix the computer. They haven't. The last two visits I have had MULTIPLE items ring up for more than marked. When I bring it up, the supposed 18 year old manager says she cannot honor the price marked. K, what? Because they haven't had time to change the tags. All the while that store is usually empty. The North Bend Washington Bartells pharmacy is terrible. Lines are always long, it can take days to get prescriptions filled. If you have a question or need to reach the pharmacy by phone, forget it. They do not answer the telephone there. I was there today and the pharmacist named Amber was extremely unhelpful. They just don't seem to understand customer service and that they are in the healthcare business to help people. Customers might be in pain, dealing with a serious health condition or illness, cancer, you name it. Your job in pharmacy is to accurately expedite prescriptions that enhance the health of your customers. Bartell drugs has been a trusted name in this region, it's very unfortunate that it has taken such a turn with the Rite-Aid merger.I will be moving all of my prescriptions to a different pharmacy. Please don't use this location for your prescriptions!!!!! They are the worst and even though they say they are not closing there distribution center is not sending ADHD meds to them. Second month in a row that my son's prescription can't be filled because their "distributor hasn't filled the request". Other Bartells, Rite Aids (same company now), and Safeway are getting it. This store was hands down the best drug store in a 50 mile radius when it opened. Recently Rite-Aid purchased Bartell Drugs and overnight the wheels fell off. I've been waiting a week for a call back on a prescription and have left multiple voicemails now. No one picks up the phone and no one returns voicemails. It's embarrassing. I've been a long time bartells customer. Over the past 2 years, the service has gone from okay to awful. Want to call to check status of prescription? You'll get voice-mail with a mention they will call you back. They won't happen. So what is needed is to physically go to the pharmacy, wait in line, and for them to tell you it will be a 30minute to 2 hour wait, depending on the day. They understaff terribly and this may be the reason refill or pick ups are so delayed. Last time I was behind a dad with a sick toddler who was needed antibiotics for a ear infection. The pharmacist told him the needed at least a day in advance to pick up the medication. When the dad told them the child was in pain and they needed it soon, pharmacist just shrugged and said they were backed up. When you are known as a drugstore, you'd think there would be some pride in providing medication timely. I'm transferring all prescriptions out of here. The first time I went into the new RiteAid owned Bartell Drugs they told me I was not in the system. I had been getting my prescriptions since the day Bartell Drugs opened in North Bend. I decided to not ever go back for prescriptions again. I had a prescription for an antibiotic faxed over at 10:20 in the morning. I know they're slow so I didn't hear from them by 4:30 i called and was put on hold for 10 minutes and hung up. I called again same thing. Finally a third time the man answered and said he didn't have my prescription in the system. I told him it was faxed he didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I had the doctors office call it in , he got that. It was finally filled. He didn't seem to understand that getting people's medications out in a timely manner was important. How could he not know about the fax? On the doctors end it said it was received at the pharmacy. I lived in North Bend for about a year and loved when Bartell Drugs finally opened here. The staff at Bartells are very friendly and helpful. They have a lot of seasonal products and its always fun to walk around and see the newest items. I've bought supplies here ranging from pool floaties to small indoor Christmas lights. North Bend needed a store like this! I recommend stopping by if you are looking to buy gifts for someone. You can find a variety of ideas and local products here for pretty much anyone. Booked an appointment for booster shot and went 15 min early. They made me wait for one hour without any information and one hour later they tell me that they are out of supply. I tried to check in with them multiple times to see whats going on and they choose to ignore. Looked like they were compeltely disorganized. read more

This location certainly went through massive challenges with new computer systems and low staffing in the past year. It seems that most of these issues have been resolved and it shows. I dreaded the monthly prescription pickup; now their notification and online payment system works great and makes pickups easy. So many items are out of stock, I went to the cold beverage area and there were so many gaps that I'm fairly certain they had less than 20 soft beverages in total for the store. The beer? The staff was terrible, I asked questions to the pharmacist about my medications? They said "I don't know, google it." aren't they supposed to know what to do with medications? He used his green card for Id which is a federal form of identity and it's a crime to deny it on account of discrimination. The WORST bartells ever! I am on day 4 now of trying to get a prescription. They won't even take the time to transfer the prescription to a different pharmacy because I am so done with dealing with them. Have talked to the store manager and the gm to be told it is issues with staffing and the fact that they are switching to rite aid. It takes 4+ days for 1 prescription to be filled?! Variety, prices and locally owned. I like Bartells for the variety of items they carry. While two grocery stores, QFC and Safeway, and the hardware store, Ace, have some items, they don't really specialize as a pharmacy. Their prices are right in line with the rest of the Seattle area, not jacked-up because we're out here. For example, my prescription costs less than the copay here. Many items are priced very competitively. Bartell Drugs stores have been family owned in the Seattle area since the 1890's. This store recently opened in Nov 2013. It's a store that should have been here in North Bend all along. read more

This used to be the best Bartells ever and we'd always fill our prescriptions here! Last week I had to transfer an Rx here from QFC because they were out of what we needed for our baby, went to Bartells and they said it would be a TWO hour wait... meanwhile Walgreens, QFC, Safeway literally any other pharmacy can crank out prescriptions in 10-15 mins max.. normally it wouldn't bother me but my baby had pink eye and it was already late in the pm and we wanted to get the eye drops started right away. Now today I'm waiting for some prescription allergy meds and steroids so i can breathe normally, they said they'd text when it's ready and told me again it'd be about two hours but it's been three and still no text and nobody answers the phone.. it's never even that busy when i stop by! What is everybody even doing in there? Why is nobody answering the phone? And how come there's no option to check on it automatically just by my birthday and phone number like other pharmacies? Weekday staff = amazing. Only had one issue with someone on a Sunday, but they were a floater employee. This pharmacy is BY FAR more competent, quick, friendly, and generally better trained than Bartells Issaquah. Like, as in they aren't even comparable. I have a unique prescription that requires the staff to have common sense and read the very clearly stated notes in my file to fill it. This Bartells gets it, every time. This is a great addition to North bend. I love not having to drive to Issaquah for beauty supplies. I can be in this store for an hour or more. I always find way more than I needed. I really enjoy their seasonal/holiday section. They have some really cool gift items you can get. Also great stuff for every holiday. Their card selection is great as well. The staff is very friendly and polite. There is even a red box in the parking lot! Their prices are great and are not more expensive because the store is located in the valley. I started to use a make remover cloths that I got from this store. They were sold out of the product and I went to QFC and Safeway which did not have the product I was looking for. I went back to Bartell's and asked when they would have it in again. They weren't due to make an order for that particular make up line.
