Very poor experience at Bartaco. I am a 21 year old adult and was denied entrance because they accused me of having a fake ID. I asked for the manager and he was extremely rude. He continued to belittle me about my age and my ID. I had supplied other forms of ID, such as a passport and credit cards, and refused to accept anything. They said because the ID does not display the full 9 digit zip code, which is not required on any US ID, I was denied. read more

This was an outstanding experience. Was starving as I was passing through Miami for a night and chose Bartaco for dinner and I'm so glad I did. We were greeted by Alex (manager) who was high energy, fun, funny and most of all genuinely happy to tell us about Bartaco. He was a delight. Everyone who works has the highest quality of customer service. Every bite of food was flavorful and delicious - especially the kale salad and pork belly tacos!!! The ambiance was awesome on a Friday - live music, comfortable seating, and a great place to people watch. Our servers Jay and Harold were so kind - offering their suggestions on favorite menu items and the best ways to pair sauces. I'm definitely coming back here in September when I pass through again. 10/10! And on our way out we met Camillo (also a manager) and he was so humble and kind. out of everything i ordered, i had absolutely no complaints. everything was DELICIOUS. we ordered guac as well and im usually not a fan of restaurant guac BUT, this one was very flavorful and fresh. I am another person who doesn't like to leave negative reviews for anything, but I felt compelled with this one. The drinks were very good, but downhill drastically from there! The service was horrible. The food was cold and the servers runners didn't know one table from the next, they kept bringing out food that wasn't ours, seemed to be doing this to other tables as well. The manager did step in when he saw what was going on, but he wasn't any better than the servers. When our food did finally come, it was ice cold and tasteless. They also deliver the food but NO ONE picked up the dirty trays/dishes, so your eating clean food next to dirty foo! Ambiance is very nice but what good is it if the service and food are NOT GOOD? ps. They assign you one "head server", but when you put your "service sign" up on the table anyone/everyone can help, I think they failed there in my case, and many others that night (seated in my section, they all were pissed), because in these cases, co-owners of the tables turned out to mean no-owners of the table, meaning NO ONE TOOK RESPONSIBILITY for our table and the whole section(s).. Don't bother talking to management, they are NOT interested and not much help. AVOID at ALL COSTS just in my honest opinion. read more

What a great place! Great food, great drinks, great music, great vibe! It all starts with the host who clearly understood the importance of date night for parents trying to get out on the town. He made sure that our experience was fun, lively and accentuated with great food. Our server, Jonathan, was equally good. The drinks were fantastic. I strongly recommend the spicy margarita, quite possibly one of the best I've ever had. you can't beat the tacos. I particularly liked the shrimp taco and the cauliflower taco no matter which one you choose, they're very good. I'll be coming back this place over and over. read more

We went to Bartaco Saturday night. It was packed beautiful atmosphere. We were not able to go to the back or upstairs because they had a private event at both. Heather the manager was fantastic giving us a tour. She was very helpful explaining the experience of dining and the history of the building! She made it a very pleasant night for all of us! If there was an option to give 0 stars I would. My friend and I waited 20 minutes to order a drink. We're on a fun girls trip to the city. We are both over the drinking age and presented our REAL IDs. Bartender took them because she thought they were fake, which frightened us because we have a flight to catch tomorrow and we need them to get through TSA. Very rudely made us wait 20 more minutes for her "manager" to check. Snappy comments towards us and our complaints. They returned saying our IDs were real and they could serve me but not my friend because her ID was from Puerto Rico, which IS part of the U.S. and qualifies as a Valid ID. They seemed like they needed a history lesson. stupid. we left. she was rude. not a fan. horrible experience and worst way to start our night after traveling so far to have some fun in Miami. My friend and I went to Bartaco on Sunday evening. We arrived at 7:34 to be exact. We were told it would be an hour wait which we agreed to. We went upstairs to have a drink and enjoyed the balcony. We got called for our table and went downstairs. The entire area around us were diners at other tables. The music was blasting so loud that the we could barely hear our waiter and were forced to shout back and forth. The music was over 80 decibels when we measured it on our app. I asked the hostess at the front if the volume could be turned down slightly and also spoke with the manager who was not the least bit sympathetic or concerned. We had ordered our food but as the volume seemed to increase so did our desire to simply leave despite the fact we were starving and had already invested over an hour of our time waiting. Our waiter, Michael, was very understanding. We cancelled our order and left. I am a native, local, Miami girl and there are a lot of other options. I do not need to spend my money to have my hearing damaged and my throat and vocal cords sore from yelling. If all they are interested in is a party 20-30 year old crowd, so be it. The rest of us professionals can find plenty of other restaurants nearby who are more than happy to serve us. Debbie L read more
