They do make their own tequila and I do not like tequila however my friend loved their margaritas and order 2. They use fresh everything to make any of their margaritas. Food is okay and menu is limited. Order guacamole which was fresh but not served with chips but the hard round corn tortillas. Soft shell tacos are street food size ( two bites), and the only one with exceptional flavor was the pork belly. A friend ordered soup and this was nothing special, have had better. I ordered black beans and they looked to be canned and not freshly made. Ordering is done like a sushi bar and Service was subpar, took about 15 mins to get 8 finger tacos and one was missing (shrimp) and had to re-ask for it. One friend asked for a shot of tequila and never received, the waitress did apologized. We requested three separate checks and received one check. Disappointed in the service even though all servers and greeters were very bubbly and nice. Overall it's a tequila bar and not a place to enjoy great Mexican food. While we were excited to go to this place, I can only say the ambience in decor with the most best things about it. The atmosphere was cool and exciting. Really chill and that's something that like when you go out on a weekend. The host was friendly. Our server Jordan was very nice. However, I'm service after that went downhill. Melanie came by to take our drink order, which never came. We ordered appetizers and a meal. Our appetizer came at the same time as our meal. And we never received our drinks, we had to ask our server for our drinks. Jordan asked who took our drink order. We told him we gave our order to Melanie, and apparently she never placed the order, Jordan apologized and placed the order and we received our drinks promptly. I have to say the weight was rather long considering they weren't that busy, and the food was cold. I actually thought that the tacos were supposed to be served cold. Until my daughter ordered an extra taco and it was piping hot! You could actually see the steam coming off of it. So that just tells me that the other tacos that we ordered should've been hot as well. As for my chicken tacos, it was severely overcooked and several pieces of the chicken were hard to the point where I had to actually pull them out of my mouth. I had the churros for dessert and I have to say I've never had a churro that tasted like that and I wasn't pleased. I'm not quite sure how they made them, but it was more like a cake with a churro coating than an actual churro. So. I've actually have to say this is not a place that we would be returning to and that's really sad because it looked really nice from the TikTok video we had seen which is why we went there to begin with. Yesterday my husband, our friend and I sat at the bar for lunch and drinks. It was our first time. We had the best margaritas made by your one and only Carter. All homemade juices as well. When we left downstairs was a packed house. Truly felt like we made friends w some of the staff by the time we left and they were so polite and attentive. Everyone was working hard upstairs too. The pros: -The margaritas are fresh lime juice ( not a mix) and really really good. However they should be at $13 each and relatively small. This is not a $5 margarita in a huge goblet. It's quality. -The tacos are very good also. However I agree with other reviewers who noted they are 2 bites. So even at $5 each you have to eat a lot of them to make a meal. And up goes the tab between them and the $13 margaritas. Favorite tacos were the park belly and crispy oyster ($7.95). The servers are friendly and helpful -The Tres Leche dessert is to die for. The cons: -Ordering on their app is clumsy and time consuming. You have to download the app, register your credit card, etc etc. All before you can even order a drink. Disclosure tho- you can order from the paper menus but they are really pushing the app. (Wondering the correct tipping in a situation like this). There are a lot of servers for somewhere that is using an app for ordering. -It's really really loud in there when it's busy. I'm old- so this may not bother some. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in the service that my friends and I received today. We had a group of six, ordered one shot per person & ordered a drink each. We received only three out of six drinks ordered, ordered food, received & not mad at all about the food. We asked another server about the rest of our drink order, which at this point as been an hour. The assistant manager came & said she would be taking care of us at this point because our server was "uncomfortable". We asked why & she had said we had too many drinks, when in reality we only had one each. So I finally tried bartaco tonight after several people suggested it to me and the place was packed. I want to know what I'm missing? The food was mediocre at best. There was absolutely nothing special or interesting about it. The prices are inexpensive but the portions are quite small. I ordered the Mediterranean cauliflower rice bowl. If you removed all the rice there wasn't much left .You are encouraged to order from an their app so service is almost non-existent. The wine was meh and served in a rocks glass. Are we just teaching people to be happy with "basic" and not to expect more because this place is as basic as you can get. Again, the service here is amazing, we came on a busy Friday night and couldn't have had a better experience! Absolute worse bar taco that I have ever been in. Came in around 10:30...dressed casual. The hostess immediately comment on our attire. We sit at the bar no one comes over for 20 minutes. She ask what can I get you..I ask for a mojito...she almost immediately cuts me off and rolls her eyes. My friend gives her id up she can't tell the difference between a real and a fake.
