Pleasant staff. But the tacos were super underwhelming. How can a pork belly taco be dry? We tried the shrimp, duck, chicken, steak, mushroom, and pork taco. The gauc was good. The drinks not great. Probably won't go back read more

The host "Thomas B" was very rude and there was hair in our Tacos.. Would not recommend!

First let us take a minute to appreciate the goodness of tacos... Now that you're in your happy place, go drive to bartaco and enjoy a good variety of them! I have my favorite authentic Mexican taco joints I frequent but I love this spot for many reasons. You want something besides the traditional steak, chicken, or pork taco? Well try their duck, chorizo, shrimp, etc. they also serve their quality meats in a rice bowl. I find all their dishes don't lack flavor and even have surprising citrus notes that brighten up the dish. Vegetarian friendly options are available and I recommend trying the plantains appetizer (that sauce though!!!!) You can write your own order on an order card if it's easiest that way, especially for larger parties so you can get the total count correct. They have 3 house salsas so you can add some spice if you'd like. I always sit at the bar, ALL the bartenders here are attentive and friendly. I haven't tried the drinks because I mostly visited when I was pregnant, haha, but they look great. Go if you haven't, and get a sesame ribeye taco for me! The tacos here are small so you can try a few it you can't contain yourself. read more

Excellent environment and staff. Excellent. Staff was over the top nice and accommodating. From the bar staff to the waitress - awesome. Food: guacamole is an absolute must. I got the grilled street corn because "that's what they're known for" and it didn't disappoint. I also had 3 tacos: spicy chorizo, Baja fish and Secret soft shell crab. By far, the Baja fish wins. I wasn't in love with soft shell crab or chorizo - which is rare because I LOVE chorizo. So I was a little sad about that. Dessert - churros + chocolate...to die for. Get them. Overall it was a great experience. Oh! And grab yourself a jalapeño infused Margarita and settle in because it's super hot! (And totally awesome) read more

This by far is the best location! This location restored my faith in bartaco! LOL. I've been to the other locations and just wasn't impressed. The food wasn't bad but it just didn't justify the price ($4 for a tiny, 2 bite taco). So let me back up..a friend and I went on a busy Saturday night. They're located next to beetlecat which reminds me I need to do a review of them. There's valet for $50! I remember going to beetlecat years ago when they first opened and valet was steep then at $20. I was told that bartaco is the only restaurant over there that doesn't validate! So for that I took a star off. While I did valet they have a parking garage a little up the street for about $8.50 was my friends total. I'm sure it's safe but I just didn't want to risk it. Too many break ins have been happening in Atlanta. Upon entering its clearly busy. The hostess took my info and said it would be 20min for inside and 45 for outside. I took the 20 min inside. I sat at the bar and waited for my friend. As soon as I sent the text that I was at the bar I was getting a text saying our table was ready! Yay! I get seated and my friend arrives. We immediately order drinks. You have to scan the barcode on the table, add a credit card (they're cashless) and create your own tab. You order any and everything from your phone when you're ready. While waiting the manager whose name I believe was Cheri came to check on us and we mentioned wanting to sit outside as we saw a few vacant tables that hadn't been cleaned off yet. She said she would check...long story short she moved us! Kudos to her for excellent customer service!! We closed out our tabs and moved. We closed it due to the bar code is affiliated with your specific table. We both had ceviche which was good. My guacamole was perfection! Our bartaco margaritas with no salt were *chefs kiss* perfection as well!! They absolutely got it right last night!! I had shrimp tacos (delicious) and a mushroom and oyster taco all yummy! My friend had some type of rotisserie chicken even though she came for tacos! Lol. She kept seeing others order it and took the plunge! She wasn't disappointed. The manager continued to check on us through the night which we appreciated. All in all...I'll be back to this location only! read more

Went here for lunch on Memorial Day and we had a great experience! The atmosphere was so cute and fun and the service was very friendly. My boyfriend ordered the empanadas and he really enjoyed them. We also ordered the seared swordfish taco, tuna takato, mushroom taco, chicken taco, and duck taco. All were delicious! read more

Awesome array of splendid tacos! Super tasty would eat here again. Price was very affordable

Worst experience in a restaurant and covid is not a factor! Extremely pricy for what you get. Force to pay on app prior to receiving food/order. No condiments/sauces for food and very small portion. Tastes awful. Good luck if you decide to visit this place. read more

What can I say!?! Bartaco was not on our radar for lunch today, but thanks to the "spot" nextdoor after being seated and reading the menu and the off vibe we got up and left. We were greeted and seated promptly. "HAM" was our server and can you say the best. He gave us the history and the instructions of how to order. While waiting on our food the manager and Ham presented and allowed us to sample an item from their "secret menu". It was so delicious we added it to our already existing order. Everything was great from the ambience, food, "kiddie drink, the manager, and of course the one and only HAM. I will definitely return. read more

I preface this review by saying normally I like Bartaco. But this is a Covid review. We came in about 1 or so hours before closing, hungry. We quickly got seated. It was inside, but it was all well ventilated and socially distanced. We were told that we had to order everything via an app which turned out to be incompatible with my husbands Android. He got error messages. thankfully I have an iPhone and I got it up using the dregs of battery left and two teens at home. I was not happy that I was using the wee bit of juice I had left after an evening out. I asked if there was an alternative and if they could just take our order. They said no. Seriously. We're techies but If you're not or your phone is dead, you can't eat here. Needless to say we didn't get a second round of drinks (though we wanted them) because we had to put all of the order in at once and pay for it via app too. We may have well just done take out or gone home because the experience would have been better. Ridiculous and a bad experience. Cashless? Yes. But also customer serviceless. Won't be back now that I get who they are. And tacos were meh on top of that. read more

I've been to Bartaco in other locations previously and loved the food and service. However, that was far from the experience and service I got at this location. A group of my friends and I came here for drinks, just drinks, nothing complicated so I'm really confused as to why I had such terrible service. We ordered two rounds of drinks and each time it took at least 30 mins to get our drinks and this is not an exaggeration. The second round took so long that our server decided to comp it. When our server came back we asked for our check, only to get it another 30 minutes later after asking several other servers. I recall this exactly because we were in a rush to get back to our dog. Once we got our check, we were charged for drinks we didn't order, and our server took another 30 minutes to make the changes only to take another 20 minutes to come back with our credit cards. I've had terrible service but this one really tops it all. It really left a bad taste in my mouth with how awful and slow the service was for simple drinks in the middle of the day. read more

The first time I went to Bartaco and at this location, I fell in love. As a taco lover I get pretty serious about my reviews. I've been a few times and the first two were excellent but I've come to learn that there is a better experience awaiting during the week. They're not as busy and not as likely to mess up an order. This past time was a busy Saturday night. I was so hungry I forgot and didn't take pics of anything this time but I had the peach flavored bartaco margarita which was fabulous! They also have other flavors such as pineapple, mango, strawberry and a couple others I can't remember. I'm honestly not sure who our waiter was because so many people came to our table when we needed something. That's all well and good but when it comes to tipping, who is really getting it? Anyways, I had 2 carnitas tacos and 1 Baja fish. Let me just add that the last times I was here the carnitas tacos weren't made with onions which is why I ordered them again but this time they were, luckily I could just pick them off but was still caught off guard. My sister was going to order the sesame ribeye tacos until she asked what was on it. She was then told she could just order off of the kids menu because it's exactly what she wanted, beef and cheese. And man were they good! There were 4 of us and we all ordered corn but we never got it. Disappointed? Oh yes. That's some good stuff! We told the manager (?) that we never got it and that we wanted it off our checks, well they took it off some but not everyone and we eventually got it straightened out. Needless to say I will be back just because I love the place and have to give them another chance. read more

Love love love bar taco. Service at this location is a hit or miss- usually it's absolutely stellar but like most restaurants there are a few servers that make you contemplate coming back. They've implemented a new virtual ordering system that still has a few kinks, especially for larger parties. Basically, your entire party scans a QR to download a menu and then you all order under the same tab. In order to place any orders, you have to link a credit card and then when paying, you can split the tab from your phone. In theory, it sounds great but when you have multiple people ordering multiple things, it gets messy super easily. So be warned but the good tacos should make up for any ordering confusion read more

My standards about tacos and the like are high because of Taqueria del sol. Yet Bartaco managed to surprise me a little. Good ingredients and cheap price, plus new decor. Sitting in the heart of Inman Park Quarter, I would expect a nice restaurant like Bartaco charges $$ at least. To the opposite, tacos are dirt cheap and real delicious. One taco for $2.5 or $3.5 is a great deal. So we decided to order a large tray and to try different kinds of food. They didn't disappoint. Each taco did get different seasonings and therefore various flavors. For the 2 I tried, mushroom taco was great. Watch out for spicy tacos too! The side dishes were all vegetable salads, mixed with cilantro and pepper. The portion was generous enough. The three of us didn't finish a large tray, and packed almost one third of it home. They have a good system to order and serve. So no problems with services at all. I'm sure I'll try it some other time. Maybe to the original one. read more

I tried this place yesterday, and had to come back again today because the food was so good. Also the alcoholic drinks have freshly squeezed juices. Not only are the vibes amazing, it caters to all ages. Then the cherry on top is the service, you can tell they are passionate about their restaurant. Love coming here when I visit. And I'll definitely be back!! Dante, you are awesome, thank you for being so welcoming read more

Best food we had while in Atlanta...and we looked for good food at each meal. This one was suggested by the Horizon Theater Company website...and we're so glad it was! Unique, fresh flavors in both food and drink. Service was excellent! And dessert (churros and key lime pie in a jar)...well, it put a bow on top of the whole evening. read more

While the taco game in Atlanta can be rough (sorry...it's true) Bartaco is always delicious in a fun atmosphere in the middle of Inman Park. It is a chain and can have a bit of a contrived feel. The tacos are not exactly authentic, but they are flavorful and usually pretty creative. Always ask about their special taco, they tend to be really inventive and delicious. The day I went I got the portobello and the falafel tacos (both delicious) along with elote and a margarita. Most of their stuff is fairly priced, but some random stuff like the guac is a little expensive. Overall I'm a fan, you just have to appreciate it for what it is and not expect authenticity or true local dining. read more

Bartaco is SO great with accommodating food allergies! I have several severe allergies that make dining out very difficult and am so grateful that this restaurant exists! The menu has plenty of options for anyone with complex dietary restrictions...and is well-loved by those without! The managers are the Inman Park location were so kind and conscientious last night- thank you! The guacamole is delicious! It's also a great atmosphere and so cute inside! The one con is that it gets very pricey very quickly. I can't wait to go back soon! read more

A group of 7.5 (6 adults, 1 child and a baby) enjoyed dinner here on a Friday night. There was a 35 minute wait as the place was packed. We were lucky enough to secure a seat on the benches right outside the door and enjoyed the night air. Once we were seated it took no time to order. While we ordered a variety of food, the pork belly taco stole the show for everyone at the table. We all made sure to order the secret taco which was the soft shell crab. We were impressed. Our server Bailey was attentive and made sure to explain the process of ordering, food delivery, cocktail construction, etc. She was personable and was never too far away. We left happy and full. Parking: Public Parking deck was $7 for 3-4 hours Ambience: Perfect for a date night or girls night out. Families too as we took our 2 month old and a 12 year old. read more

Went to bar taco today we went during to the lunch and receive a lunch. The lunch menu menu was small but you also had the option to pick from the main menu. With your menu you'll receive a small pencil similar to the fashion of a sushi restaurant. Myself and cousin ate from 11 to 3 90% of the other restaurants were closed and preparing for dinner. As we walked in we were greeted by our server who look like a light skinned Questlove from The Roots or The Tonight Show if you're familiar. He was friendly as a waiter he was very attentive. For a drinks I had the Red Sonja, the Red Sonja was a tropical taste with a hint of lime and a little kick. We shared chips and salsa the chips were like these large tortilla size chips that you can break in half dip with. The tacos are summer to the fashion of getting the truck taco , i had have one beef 1 chicken and one we won't discuss because it was just that bad. The food tasted great. We were greeted by the manager overall a great experience. read more

Came into Bartaco on a Wednesday around 3pm. Not busy at all and I parked on the street. I believe they validate parking because the waitress asked if I did when It was time to pay. The girls ordered the nojito. Non alcoholic version of a mojito. They didn't finish it. LOL. But they were excited to try it. I ordered the Korean beef taco and the duck taco, nothing super amazing about it actually but it was tasty. The size of the tacos for the prices are ridiculous. U can literally eat the taco in 1-2 bites. I left still hungry but the experience was cool. I got to sit outside with the girls and converse over tacos and mojitos. read more

This used to be one of our favorite date night spots, but it has really gone downhill since the last time we visited. Ordering via QR code from your phone is a practice that really needs to have disappeared along with the pandemic. If I want to spend 10 minutes on my phone ignoring the people I came with while we are all studying the menu, entering credit card info (at least add in an Apple Pay feature so we can avoid this annoyance!) and generally being frustrated, I'll just stay home and order from DoorDash. If I'm out at a full-service restaurant paying full-service prices, I expect full-service. Instead Bar Taco has basically become a do-it-yourself process where food comes out in no particular order being dropped off by a different person every time. Adding to our annoyance, they were also out of the drink that I ordered, so that created another problem where they had to try to remove it from the bill after the fact since you pay for everything on the app when you order. It was a disappointing experience and we won't be returning. read more

I don't know how else to describe this, but I had a lot of "fun" here! The energy this place has is really cool. The staff were really friendly and are what made the fun atmosphere. I was a little skeptical of the way you order, but ended up falling in-love with it. You scan a barcode that is on your table and the entire ordering/payment process is via your phone. It just automatically knows your table and the speed of service was impressive. Food tasted great and the drinks we had were great. Can't say it enough, the staff we had really set the fun vibe. I was here on a date and I told my date this was perfect, we were really able to chat and enjoy ourselves while enjoying the food and atmosphere. Thank you for the fun experience! read more

We are reaching the point where we're losing on getting quality service because there seems to be this obsession with not having menus and not having waiters. If I want to order off of my phone I'll use doordash or instacart. Places that used to feel personal and welcoming are now cold and bland. Restaurant owners and managers need to ask themselves what kind of experience do they want the people coming in their establishments to have. I can get taco's and margs nearly anywhere, so the competition between product isn't the only thing you need to worry about, it's the service being provided. Bartaco provided no service last night; why would I go back? read more

They have an amazing selection of vegetarian tacos. The app for ordering table service is ok, but they charge you every time you order something rather than just paying at the end. We had like 4 charges by the time we left. The only thing I'd say was disappointing were their chips and salsa. The salsa was pretty flavorless and the chips were tostada shells :( The cocktails were just ok - nothing to write home about. read more

This is a casual bar/tapas place. The layout is very open and they have inside and outside seating. The staff all are super friendly and our waitress Aireane was very sweet and super patient and informative. The tacos were good, at least the ones we ordered,(shrimp, duck, chicken , chorizo). We didn't care much for the tamales,(mushroom, pork) but the sides,(guacamole, black bean salad, coleslaw, corn on cob ) were all very good. We would most definitely come back when we visit Atlanta again just because the service was really good and there's a lot more we would like to try. read more

Ambiance, A+. Literally feel like you're at a country club beach side oasis. Tacos were very tasty. Menu is a little hard to understand since they only show the featured protein and not the toppings that will be served with the taco. Worth a short convo with your server! Also, ask about the secret taco. There's always one that's not on the menu. Ours was a fried avocado taco and it was one of our tables favorites. My fave was probably the Chicken pastor, with the rock shrimp close second. Overall, great place to feel like an escape from the world while enjoying solid food and drinks. read more

I wrote this review with a heavy heart. I love This establishment - Let me be clear the Bartaco establishment in New Rochelle, New York. I was visiting Atlanta and was pleasantly surprised to see this restaurant and highly recommended to my friends. We were seated by a hasty and oblivious hostess who perhaps forgot her contacts because the table was wet and filthy with chopped onions and traces of cilantro floating in the water. We sat there in disbelief for 10 minutes. I encouraged my friends to have a little bit of patience, but no one came. There were all but one meal card in the box and it was completed and left by the ghost of dinner's past. With that reference, as you can imagine we ghosted the establishment and went across the street. I am not sure if this location is owned by the same owners in New York, but "Lucy,... You have some es'plainin' to do!" Needless to say, my friends are utterly turned off by Bartaco in Atlanta and it's such a shame because I really love it. I give this place 2 stars just because I have experienced what it *should be. However, you can't ride on reputation alone. read more

I was nervous there would be a long wait at 7pm on a Fri night but this location is very spacious so there was no wait at all for four of us. We were seated by the part of the restaurant where a screen could come down (and later did) to separate the outer area from the inside. It wasn't particularly cold that night, but every now and then a breeze might pass though where the screen actually did help. There were multiple fire places to keep those sitting outside toasty. My husband has been to the West Midtown location and said the food was similar but service was much better here. All tacos were tasty but be aware that some can be super spicy! Our server mentioned that you can let her know if you wanted less spicy for adjustments, and I wish I had done so for the shrimp banh mi - wooo my tongue was on fire. The sesame ribeye was everyone's favorite, and we also got some sides, including guac, to share. My only gripe was what another Yelp review stated - it was annoying that the tacos came on one tray, all mixed together. This is AFTER the fact that they have you order exactly what you want off a piece of paper with your name on it. The guy who brought out our tacos breezed through them in 10 seconds so we had to ask our server to repeat them when she came over to check in. She got about half of them wrong, and we ended up figuring it out ourselves. I get if this is maybe a shortcut for a busy kitchen, and it really wasn't a huge deal for us, but what if someone had an allergy? Could be a much bigger issue that is easily preventable. read more

Bartaco is a trendy taco joint to hang out with some friends. It has a very nice outdoor ambience but also cute interior. Tacos are quite small so you probably need at least 4-5 orders per person depending how hungry you are. The pork pastor is probably the best one they have because it has fresh pineapples in it. Highly recommend. Not a fan of the chicken taco because it had a touch of cumin in it. Other than the nice ambience and food the service was not that impressing. It was not quite busy since it was a Tuesday but service was quite slow. Once we got our orders in the food came but the waitress never brought plates. We settle to just use napkins to catch any droppings from the tacos. Overall, Bartaco is just ok and was nice to try. read more
