Staff is always so friendly and helpful. We went for inman park restaurant week so were able to try a variety of tacos and sides and they were all good. They will take the corn off the cobb which was awesome. The other side was the pineapple which was fresh and cut well. Also the gelato was a massive service. read more

The food and the service was good. Everything was hot and fresh. The chicken sausage taco is the best. Please be aware that this is a cashless establishment. I can do without the corn but the pineapple was delicious. Over all I recommend it. read more

Bartaco.... new favorite Mexican place. The plantains were my fav. So good. & the sauce with it was boom. Me and my boyfriend came here for valentines day at 4pm. Wasnt too pack yet. We were seated quickly and greeted by our waiter Julien V. He explained the ordering system which was you write what you want on a Bartaco card and they come back to get it. Me and my boyfriend got the chicken, shrimp and baja fish tacos, chicken bowl, plantains, small guacamole, and grilled corn on the cob and the bartaco Margaritas. Everything was honestly great. I love the baja fish taco. The shrimp was good too but it was skimpy on the shrimps. The guacamole was good but the chips were a little too salty. My boyfriend said his favorite was the chicken bowl. I would definitely return. All our food came to $30 but 4 bartaco margaritas came to $39 so the drinks were more than the food ;( so next time i know, take it easy on the drinks lol. Also service was GREAT. When you place your card with your order on the the clip, anyone can come get your order so your not only waiting on your waiter/waitress so that definitely means you get waited on faster than the average restaurant. read more

The app is a ridiculous user unfriendly excuse to pay their workers less. Food is less than avg. don't come here.

Met some friends for dinner tonight. Have never been to the Inman area so I didn't know what to expect. Bartaco is an great place. Great vibe. I did the 30 minute call ahead seating. Parking was in the garage behind the restaurant. They validate for two hour parking. We were there for three hours and had to pay $4.00. The food was delicious. I had the calamari, shrimp, steak and pork belly. All of them were very good. The pork belly was OUTSTANDING!!! Margaritas were also delicious!!! Service was on point. The ordering process is different but efficient... you get the waiters attention by posting a card at your table and if you don't put the card up they let you enjoy your dinner and company that your with. I appreciated that!!! Can't wait to go back!!! read more

It's been a while since I visited bartaco due to Covid-19, so when I saw that delivery was available, I jumped at the opportunity! I ordered one of their family build your own taco packs and it was amazing! I'm sure we've all been in situations where we get delivery and the food isn't packaged well or doesn't taste as good as it does at the restaurant - and I can happily say that this was not the case here! The food was packaged wonderfully, and everything was just as (if not more) delicious as I remembered it! If you are looking for a place to dine in or for delivery, look no further than bartaco. read more

I really enjoyed the atmosphere. We dined in the outdoor patio, the only negative was the constant nats or mosquitos buzzing around the table, and our drinks were not consistent in taste. But it's a lively spot and the food was really good. We parked in the parking garage across the street and strolled the neighborhood, shopping and stopping for food and drinks at a variety of spots. It's the Highlands area, so lots to do including walking the beltline. A nice place to visit if you're new to Atlanta, on a date or just hanging with friends. Prices are typical.... $10 appetizers, $10 drinks. Get out and meet new people. We did! read more

They get 3 stars because of the size and price. I didn't know what I was getting myself into. I got invited to this place. I never had a taco smaller than my hand before but they had a good taste. Probably won't be back, only because I like to eat and I would end up spending $30 bucks trying to get full here. read more

Wow! This place blew my mind. Everything is so fresh, you can substitute and replace things at a small fee such as flour or lettuce taco instead of corn. So many options. And, all their margaritas are skinny and delicious. The service was top notch and I would go back daily! read more

The first time there it was okay but I enjoyed the food (drinks not too great) for the most part so I tried it a second time and it was terrible. The service was horrible. It wasn't even that crowded. We ordered drinks and we waited and waited and waited... I got up and asked about the drinks because our waiter disappeared. They brought the food before the drinks. Eventually they comped the drinks. However, I won't be returning read more

I tried Bartaco with a friend for the first time last weekend. We met up on a Saturday night around 6:15 and didn't have any wait time and were quickly led to a table. They let me bring in my iced coffee from a nearby establishment which I appreciate because I know that isn't the most polite thing to do. The things I liked about Bartaco were the quick and friendly service and the ordering set-up: kind of like at a sushi restaurant, you fill out what you want on a sheet and the wait staff take it and put in your order. My friend and I ordered about four tacos, chips and salsa and a corn dish. Had I known all of our tacos would come out on the same tray, I would've asked for them separately because my friend is a vegetarian and my meat tacos were all over her veggie tacos. The tacos are also small and while the bites I had were flavorful, I wish there were more toppings in them. Also, the chips and salsa is a little misleading...what was brought out was a good verde salsa and a stack of underwhelming taco shells to dip in it. There were no "chips." If I went back to Bartaco, I'd be ordering some different items. read more

The restaurant was better 2 years ago. They hold money on your card and over charge for mediocre drinks. The turnover rate is crazy. You never see the same faces as far as employee. Cashless is nonsense is not nearly as busy and shouldn't be the service is sub par and you just might get charged for their mistake or nasty food. The drinks are hit mostly miss. The elote needs to be upgraded it's not authentic. I am truly disappointed don't waste your money. They should start from scratch. The vibe is no longer there. They used to treat you like family now it's strangers in the night. And who wants to drink a beverage (alcoholic) ranch water it still has spring drinks on the menu. Total rip off. I have spent and sent people there so now it's time to find a new taco spot. read more

Ummmm what were we supposed to get but tacos!?!?! I wanted to try every single one, but with just 2 of us dining, it wasn't practical. Physically possible, yes, but not practical. We shared the baja fish, chicken pastor, 2 mojo carnitas, pork belly, and duck. We started with these 6, but they are relatively small tacos and the corn tortillas are thinner than what I typically see so we made quick work of them. We ordered a 2nd round to fill up a little more - mojo carnitas, duck, tuna tatako, baja fish. For 9-10 tacos between the 2 of us, we were filled, but not full. We had to get to an appointment, but otherwise we probably would have eaten tacos all night! My favorite was probably the duck - sweet, tangy, tender. It wasn't chunks of duck like I was expecting - more shredded. Still very tasty! Second was mojo carnitas tied with the baja fish. No reservations, but they do validate parking in the garage nearby. read more

The food is good. Don't let the fancy check out system fool you. I got charged $200 without my consent and the waitress could not provide and itemized receipt for the guests to split. I never got an apology, never got a compensation benefit - just poor poor customer service. Will never come back again. read more

We went to bartaco for lunch and were seated right away. We ordered our food through the online menu that they make you use. There were quite a few people that came in after us and ordered and all of them were getting their food and we never got our food. We advised the manager that we hadn't received our food after a considerable amount of time had passed and he went to check. After a few minutes he came back and said they never got our order, even though we had a receipt and payment made through the online menu. He offered to refund us our money but couldn't do it for some reason until the next day. We agreed and he took our information so he could complete a refund but we never did get a refund from them. Terrible experience and definitely have no desire to go back to this place. read more

I'm only rating four stars for now because I've only been once. One of the best things about this place is that it caters to all sorts of diets -- my vegetarian girlfriend and I (omni) can both find great things here without sacrificing something, and the servers will bend over backwards to accommodate dietary needs when they can. Some places only give lip-service to vegetarians with a token veggie burger, pasta with tomato sauce, or salad on the menu, but there are plenty of options here. I don't restrict my diet, and I found the portobello and falafel tacos satisfying on their own merits (I could probably make a meal of the portobello tacos alone). The time I went here, my girlfriend and I each had a drink (she had a good margarita, and I had the watermelon-mezcal [smoke on the water in case the menu changes seasonally]), split the guacamole/salsa and plaintain appetizers and had 4 tacos each. It was late lunch/early dinner, none of us had eaten yet in the day, and we both walked from Inman Park to the Clermont Hotel rooftop to let the meal settle. Yes, the tacos are small, but you could easily split one or two appetizers and make a full meal of three tacos. The red salsa has plenty of chipotle smoke and a bit of spice, the green is cool and cilantro-heavy, and the guacamole has chunks of avocado with noticeable lime. The chips are served as flat, fried corn chips that you can break/shape yourself, and the server had no issues replacing them to keep up with our salsa we hadn't finished. I enjoyed the fact that each sauce offered in the three-salsa appetizer had a distinct taste, rather than being very slight shades of flavor across the board. The plantains were served piping hot, and they had a sauce (dairy or mayo-based, though I could never pinpoint the exact flavor -- maybe a slight bleu cheese?) that balanced the sweetness perfectly. The tacos were also great. I am a sucker for getting a variety, so I had one each mojo pork carnitas, baja fish, portobello, and falafel. All of the tacos have a slightly different toppings instead of something generic (like a tzatziki with the falafel or fresh slaw with homemade tartar sauce with the fish). When we finished, I told my partner that these are the tacos Tin Lizzy's wish they made. My surprise was especially the portobello taco -- the mushroom was cooked to a perfect temperature/texture that is hard to get with mushroom. Whatever I have the next time I'm there, a portobello taco or two will be on my ordering list. Speaking of which, ordering is like a lot of sushi restaurants -- you fill out a checklist with how many of each item you'd like and hand it to your server. And if you need anything, place a card in the stand to call your server over (Once we placed a card, we rarely waited more than a minute for him to come by in a restaurant about 80% full on a Sunday). This makes ordering in increments very easy (though I'd check up front how to do this with your server if you want to split the bill at the end; we didn't split in our case). Bartaco may be a chain, but it has fresh food, and it's friendly for many types of diets. The service we experienced was great, and I look forward to coming back so I can try more items and have more of some stuff I already know I love. read more

I actually love Bar Taco! (This location) The staff are nice and funny! I have dinned in, sat at the bar, and even picked up food to go. All experiences have been pleasant. I enjoy their staff and the atmosphere. Now the Tacos! I do have to say that obviously they are over priced but, they are good! This isn't a place for a traditional dinner or let alone for a dining experience. It is a place for a quick bite and a nice drink. I love stopping by with a friend or for a snack. read more

So, this bartaco is amazing!!! Def the best in the city. Let me tell you, Blake and Saeed were the best (sorry if I spelled your name wrong I really tried). Anyway, we were waiting awhile for a large party & Blake immediately took care of us when we got seated; apologized and everything. He was the best!!!! Saeeed was the best (sorry again), because he brought out our drinks.... But not only that, he was kind enough to go above and beyond to get what we needed. I'm talking about top tier service. Everyone was sooooo great. And we are frequent fliers with bar taco so the foods always good. But the service was amazing over here. 10/10 would recommend. read more

Well where do I start? I heard about this place through Atlanta Eats and it looked like a really cool place! First thing first, this would be a cool spot in the summer time to hang out! We waited 30 mins to be seated, now the hostess said there would be a wait on the food and seating but DAMN! So we finallly get our table and we sit, sit and sit some more! Still no food.. So I look around and see NO ONE has thier food! So I spoke with the server who got the manager... The manager Brain came and I couldn't even be mad at him! He was such a sweetheart.. He apologized for EVERYTHING, and I could truly tell he was really sorry. He stated he was short staff in the kitchen and was working hard to get my order out. He lunch was on him and gave me a gift card to come back! The food really was good! The tuna wrap was to die for!! I'm looking forward to retuning this spring.. read more

I came here about 2 months ago and at first everything was great, my drink was good the server was nice, it was nice outside and mind you this is my first time at this particular Bar taco, but had been to another location before. So once I got my food, which I ordered a rice bowl and plantains, and all was pretty good UNTIL I found a hair in my rice bowl. I discreetly got my servers attention and let him know what the issue was and he immediately took it back and not too long after a manager came by to apologize.. This is where it goes downhill for me.. OK so she apologizes and asked if I would like another bowl, I kindly said no and she figured b/c I was already grossed out that I wouldn't want another and I agreed so she offered me a key lime pie instead to take with me I said ok; however my server had already had a new bowl made for me and had brought it out. The manager tells him no she doesn't want it, but I told him it's cool, I'll take it to go, but when I got my to go bag just the key lime pie was there not the bowl.. So I'm guessing she had him not put it in there but why? They were just gonna throw it out.. So I thought that was a waste.. Smh So the manager takes care of just my rice bowl and not the rest of my order.. Which well I felt she should have at least took all my food off or made me a better offer than key lime pie. Now my friend that was with me was a lil upset about how she handled the situation and they got into a discussion about it.. I didn't say much b/c I had already made up my mind that I wasn't coming back. Not only b/c of the hair but also b/c she really wasn't genuine in her apology.. It was more like she did it b/c she had to, and it came across as "I'm being nice b/c it's my job, and these things happen". And I just felt she as a manager should just have been lil more apologetic than she was at the time. Anyway I enjoyed being there until all that happened.. Oh and some people brought their dogs and had them by the fireplace that was outside and it was like they were in a bad position and hot b/c it was hot that day, and I think that had the fireplace lit.. Smh I love dogs, however, there is a place for them and being at a restaurant hooked up to the fireplace ain't one of them.. I couldn't believe Bar Taco allowed them to be there.. read more

Great food, fresh, fast and the price is RIGHT! ! I always get fish tacos when I'm here and they are good. The margaritas are freshly made and don't have a lot of the premix taste to them. Visited Bartaco while spending a weekend in Atlanta. The food and service was excellent! EXCELLENT! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a welcoming outdoor seating space. I had the special taco of the day which was a lobster and guacamole taco severed on a hard shell corn - it was absolutely delightful. The lobster was served at room temperature and was flavored to perfection. The avocado added texture and was a refreshing addition to the taco. I also had the raosted duck taco - tender, tasty, spicy and flavorful The sesame ribeye taco is to die for. The meat was tasty and tender. The portobello mushroom taco was good. The ginger mint tea was excellent, not overly sweet and perfect for a warm summer day. Overall: Bartaco was a delightful experience. Service was impeccable, the food was delicious and the overall ambiance of the space is a "vibe". read more

Bartaco never disappoints. Expect nothing but the freshest margaritas made of whole ingredients-no added sugars or high fructose corn syrup. They juice lime by line to make the perfect pitcher-may not get your pitcher in record time but I promise you it's worth the wait. Food favorite standouts- tamales are so good! Plantains with this dill sauce is the perfect savory sweet combo. Corn off the Cobb is one of the most flavorful sides. Tacos go without saying and even the chopped salad is delish! Whatever you do, don't forget to try their ice cream cones or churros and chocolate dipping sauce-a little slice of heaven! read more

Great location and yummy food. Great staff as well! Would definitely recommend checking this place out!

Love this place, Ashley the manager was fire check it out . Great food, service, and vibes

Consistently good tacos and (as in the menu) not tacos - as in all the other locations of Bartaco in Atlanta. This one has the advantage of being really close to the Beltline, so if you are walking/running and want to stop for some food and margaritas, this is a good suggestion. We tried several tacos on the menu, and the highlight was the falafel taco. The mushroom taco and the plantains (not taco) were also great choices. Service was a bit choppy, but nothing that impacted the experience. Would return in the future. read more

The food was good but a little pricey-- but then again, what else can you expect from the location? The drink I got tasted pretty good and I was told they don't skimp on alcohol but I can't say it did anything at all for me (and I'd only eaten a breakfast sandwich all day up till then). Of course, it's a typical place where you buy individual tacos that are like 3-4 inches big and cost $2.50-$4 each so take that as you will, because prices aren't listed on the online menu so you don't know until you actually arrive and scan it on your phone. The guac was good! The chips are different... they're huge circles, and people kept saying they like break them into pieces to dip (bc you can't otherwise). Makes me wonder.... why not just make them small instead of making patrons break chips up ourselves? Especially with those prices. The vibe was okay. Smaller place, crowded. The bathroom area was odd. The staff needed access to the attic for stuff so we had to move them bathroom line all around so they could let down the stairs to go up there, which then caused some confusion for men bc apparently they couldn't understand what we meant when we said "the mens room is behind the ladder" multiple times. So that was fun to watch them dumbly not grasp. You kinda have to go thru the kitchen area a little to get to the bathrooms anyway. Overall, eh. Pricing to experience ratio, for me, was not it. It's absolutely more of a "here for the idea of it" place. There's not much to choose from- food or drinks wise. I get why people like it, but tiny tacos for $3+, drinks that don't hit, weird bathroom situations, hardly any options food and drink wise, and the prices for it to be a mostly virtual experience? Idk. Just not for me. Parking was terrible, too. read more
