Giddy UP! Sounded great. We arrived and were met with a confused front desk kid who had no clue what we were talking about so I brought up the website on my phone and showed him...His response..."oh yeah, that's wrong, we really should fix that". but WAIT!!!!!! he then tells us there is NO bar or restaurant except on Fridays and Saturdays (we arrived on a Sunday)! Not to be dissuaded, we checked in and were delighted by a few things (hot water and shower pressure was fab!). Unfortunately.... the stained sheets SMELLED laundered but appeared to have some persistent little suicidal hair follices that I am assuming dived to their death from its owners head while housekeeping was making up the bed (oh please let that be the reason....the alternative is it's the hair from a previous guest...EEEWWWWW!) The bed sucked!! The mattress was like a hammock with us rolling into the middle like there's a freaky black hole vortex - just terrible. Not only that but there is NOTHING to block out the exterior lights so in the middle of the night, our room was lit up like its 10am outside. BRING an EYEMASK - trust me you'll thank me. We had no regular size towels until the 2nd day into our stay when someone must have taken pity on us and remembered that our adult size bodies cannot dry off with just a bath mat. Received a text from the hotel on Day 2 offering us bikes to ride into town YEEHAW! Only when we got to reception we were told "No, all bikes out of commission, need new tires". WTF!?! All 15 of them????? This place sucked. Really disappointed. It has so many good possibilities, but just fail to deliver and the customer service is appalling and they apparently know they are falsely advertising deals they cannot honor. Palm Springs has SO many better options. Skip this crappy one.

I have been to Zaldas nightclub years ago and it was a fun place. Anyway, looked up on Yelp and found this gem and my friend and I got excited, took an Uber and went straight to the club. We didn't have this much fun in a long time. David was very nice, kind and attentive. Since we had already eaten, we only ordered drinks. We both opted for Coconut Margarita (blended) didn't want to cross the line and get drunk. That is why we took the Uber down there. Smart idea right? Right! They have a dance floor, DJ, and live music. Also a cover charge for entrance. $10.00 which is not bad at all. Other places charge way more..Can't comment on the food, since we didn't eat there. The minute I came back from the restroom to my seat, this lovely elderly gentlemen invited me to dance. Since he was more like my friend's age, she thought that he was about to ask her to dance.. Place was very clean, David checked on us twice, and the feeling/vibe along with the atmosphere was just PERFECT!! The song that the band was playing was "Besame Mucho". I am sure most of you have heard of that song, if you haven't, it's never too late. If I happen to be in Palm Springs again, I will definitely go back to this club. You are never too old to have fun. Small enough that it's close to the type of vibe you need. As for the space itself, it has a dim lighting, a tv for sports or popular shows if you just want to zone out. You have your usual singers and a good ebb and flow of people trying to catch a song. Karaoke is definitely the heart of this place. Friday night is alway a blast with the show as we've alway had an amazing time. This visit, we had friends visiting from the UK and one of their must do was a drag show. Of course where else would I take them but here. I do recommend if you have a group, reserved a table so you don't have to stand. They have hi top seating if it's one or two of you but if there's a group, get a table. Drinks do roll all night with waiters coming up to you so you don't have to leave your seats. Also, make sure to have the cash flowing for the ladies. There's someone on hand if you need to break the big bills. The hostess with the mostess, Vanity Halston is fuckin amazing. Their drag brunch hosted by Morgan McMichaels is ICONIC. And I do not use "iconic" lightly. I reserve that word for Cher, air conditioning in Palm Springs, and bottomless mimosas. Morgan is hands down one of the best illusionists out there and quite possibly the perfect drag brunch host. Hilarious, quick, effortlessly entertaining, and somehow able to command a room while looking better than everyone in it. Frankly, it's rude. The entire show was fantastic. Great performers, great energy, and none of that "I paid how much for two songs and an egg?" feeling you sometimes get at drag brunches. This is easily the best value for your money in Palm Springs. You actually get a SHOW. One Eleven has figured out the formula: Morgan McMichaels + talented queens + cocktails + brunch + Palm Springs = gay mathematics at its finest. I've seen plenty of drag shows, and this one is at the top of the list. Come for brunch, stay for Morgan, tip the queens, and leave wondering why every Sunday of your life doesn't involve sequins and someone doing a death drop within 15 feet of your breakfast. Five stars. No notes. Except maybe: MORE MORGAN.
