Good time
Vanessa G.

Such a cool experience!!! Ive been coming to Palm Springs every year and have never been here. Try the captains nuts they were also delish. The drinks were good the service was excellent. I would recommend this to everyone. We had reservations around 7pm by 9pm it started to get very full. I heard they have a show on Saturday nights ill have to come back and see.

Great experience and very entertaining. Surprisingly for bar food it was excellent. The service is exceptional and the entertainment is interactive with patrons. Great concept and well executed

We were in the Palm Springs area for a few days and made a list of bars to visit and PS Air was on the list. It is located in a strip mall in the back of the Bouschet wine shop. Although it is advertised as a speakeasy, there is a sandwich board in front of the shop advertising the location. I would say it is more of a themed bar as they have shows and entertainment also. There was plenty of parking available right in front of the shop early on a weeknight. I would definitely recommend calling and making a reservation ahead of time. We walked into Bouschet and were steered to the back of the store where there is a little ramp up to the entrance of PS Air. We were initially seated towards the back in a set of slightly elevated economy airplane seats right in the middle of the aisle with a regular table. We were looking for a more immersive experience from a unique place like this and asked to be moved to some seats more inside the airplane body with windows and a wing segment as the table. Even though there were several empty four seat and six seat areas, we were told that they were reserved. We ended up settling on sharing a six seat area with another group of three people. Sitting here definitely gave more of an "in an airplane" vibe. It feels like PS Air is more of a place for groups. If you are going just as a couple or are looking for an intimate evening, expect to share a group of seats or sit at the bar which kind of defeats the point of coming here. The seats are real airplane seats with most of them being economy seats in groups of six, but there are also a few groups of four first class seats near the entrance. In between each pair of seats is a segment of an airplane wing with glass on top which is your table. All of the windows have various pictures in them. One of our windows had a picture of a gorilla on the wing which was a scene from an old episode of Twilight Zone. There are also various large airline inspired posters overhead and some luggage above some of the seats. There are also a few fluffy clouds overhead. Even the restroom door is painted to look like an airplane lavatory door and there are more airplane themed things inside. This was our first stop of the night so we decided to order some appetizers with our first round of drinks. I usually don't expect much from bar food but it was definitely subpar. We started with the hummus plate. The veggies were fresh, but that was about it. The hummus was solid like it had been in the refrigerator all day and it didn't have much taste. The pita bread also tasted like it had been in the refrigerator as well. We also ordered the BBQ chicken pizza. The dough, cheese, and BBQ sauce were good, but the cubes of chicken were totally dried out and the jalapeño pepper slices were nuclear hot. I tried the Aviation cocktail which was ok. It had a nice violet color but it was extremely gin forward. My girlfriend had the Red Eye which she enjoyed. It was grapefruit forward which she liked and it was balanced, but she could have done without the Taijin rim. Some of the drinks have airplane shaped ice cubes which is a nice touch. The drinks were ok and the food was subpar. The group of three people we sat with were friendly and they left about fifteen minutes later so we had the space to ourselves for the rest of our visit. The few servers we interacted with were friendly and service was fine. The environment is what killed it for us. When we first sat down "in the plane", there was a group of six sitting across from us and they had two young children that were running all over the place most of the time. When we were deciding on whether or not to get another round of drinks, another group came in with a dog. We love kids and animals, but this isn't the place for that in what I would expect to be an adults only no animals establishment so we decided to leave. The bottom of the white airplane body under the windows was also dusty and had stains that looked like they had been there a long time. Fun concept, especially if you are with a group of people, but it didn't work for us due to the other guests on that particular night. They also need to step up the food.

SUCH a unique experience! Would 100% recommend it, we even almost missed it since it's a speakeasy. Good: - The staff are all dressed like airplane staff, and they commit to the bit - The drinks are all themed, I got a chocolate rum drink that tasted like hot chocolate, and the others got drinks with little airplane shaped ice in them. - The seats are airplane seats, and the bathroom is an airplane stall, but better - The waiter we had was from France, and he was really entertaining - There are even fake clouds in the ceiling Bad: - We wish we spent longer here! Overall would come here, it's a hidden gem in a sleepy shopping mall.

Gourmet flat bread (comes with truffle oil drizzle and arugula, but I ordered without)

This is a cool little place! It is actually kind of a speakeasy - - you walk through a wine bar/store to get to the door to PS Air. When you walk in there is a lighted aisle, just like on a plane. There are airplane seats on either side of the aisle, the groups of two first class seats or three coach seats face each other with a table made from an airplane wing in the middle. The seats even have seat belts and a flotation vest underneath!! There are clouds hanging from the ceiling that change colors, and vintage airline photos and enlarged posters on the wall. Running along the side of each while our airline windows with lit photos in each one. There's disco ball and a DJ booth and a blue lip bar in the back. The bathroom door looks like the push doors on a real airplane bathroom, but, fortunately, The bathroom is nice and large. The bartender wears a pilot's uniform, and it looks like they have a boozy brunch served by uniformed "flight attendants." The other two ordered beer, but I ordered a cocktail - - The chocolate cloud. It was delicious and pretty boozy! The food menu is small, but the food was good. We got the flatbread pizza, which was like a margarita pizza; the gourmet pizza, a white pizza with mushrooms; and the sliders with onion jam and macaroni salad. What a fun place to come when you're in Palm Springs! I would like to go back in the evening and see one of the shows, or even more, attend a boozy brunch!

Come fly with me. PS Air Bar & Grill. A hidden gem in Palm Springs. Cool atmosphere, friendly staff and great drinks. A great find if you're in Palm Springs.

10/10 experience! A few of our friends or aviation nerd, and this could not have been a more fun experience. The service and drinks are incredible. We came at our reservation time, and unfortunately, they were packed with a party. They apologized and accommodated us in a separate area until our table was ready. Definitely would love to come back. The ambiance here is very warm and charming, especially for those who have an appreciation for airplanes.

Lovely live music on a Monday night. We had the place almost to ourselves but enjoyed the fun decor and ambience. Food menu looked great but we didn't try it. Next time!

Entrance to PS Air is through the Bouschet Wine Shop.

We finally made it into PS Air and were not disappointed. It was super busy (admittedly, we went during Modernism Week, without a reservation), but they were still able to seat us in short order. If you haven't been here yet or heard about it, the bar is whimsically themed like an airplane, and it feels like you're inside headed to some far off destination. The decor is amazing, with various views out of each window, vintage luggage stored overhead, service staff in uniform, and clouds above your head. Speaking of heads, even the bathroom sticks to this theme, being a slightly larger version of what you'll find on a plane. The menu is quite creative, again with the aeronautical theme. Off of the "Wines Around the World" menu, my wife ordered a glass of South African Merlot ($12), while I had one of their signature cocktails, the Warm Nuts ($16). Since we had eaten earlier, we just shared an order of the Mixed Olives ($10), but all of the food that came out to the tables around us looked very good. We did order a second round of drinks. I tried a Turbulence ($16) and my wife had the Chocolate Cloud ($16). All cocktails were well made, and delicious! Service was very good on our visit, even though there was a little bit of a wait due to the larger crowds and them being one person short. Overall, a fun experience, and I'm sure we'll be back to give more food and cocktails a try.

How cute is the airplane ice cube :h)
Hallett L.

Fun atmosphere - like six rows on an aircraft. Highly recommend reservations as we were seated in First Class which most are real coach seats. We had a cocktail and the pilots warm nuts - lol - which were amazing and actually worth the $15. Bartender made a perfect martini. Service was great and we had a fun time.

Me and my boyfriend booked a last minute trip to Palm Springs with zero plans and somehow stumbled into one of the best surprises of the weekend. I called PS Air on a whim and the guy who answered was so friendly and welcoming. It set the tone right away. When we arrived, they seated us next to a random person in true airplane fashion and honestly, we vibed. Chill convo, strong drinks, and good energy all around. Speaking of drinks, the pear martini was strong in the best way. This is why I love gay bars. They do not play around with their pours. The whole vibe was immersive and fun. Real airplane seats that actually recline and are super comfy, nostalgic aviation decor, and a crew that really delivers the experience. The DJ playlist was so random in the most iconic way. It felt like all my Spotify playlists hit shuffle at once and I was weirdly obsessed. Next time I'm definitely coming back for their drag Sunday brunch or a murder mystery night. PS Air isn't just a bar, it's a whole experience. 10/10, highly recommend.

Such a cute concept for a speakeasy! It's like stepping into an airplane in the 50s. The cocktails were delicious, and the service was amazing. Our server was François, who is very attentive and playful. He has a French background, one of our group members could also speak French, so they were able to have a delightful conversation. We felt very well taken care of, and then the decor is great for cute pictures too. I will definitely be coming back here on my next visit to Palm Springs! I also hear they have an excellent drag show, though we did ours at a different venue so we didn't do it here this time. Au revoir!

Neil was welcoming, accommodating, and personally secured a table for our party of six when we returned after 9pm. His hospitality and the venue concept itself are excellent. Unfortunately, the service we received afterward from another staff member, Billy, did not match that standard. The venue is extremely dark, so we used the small table lamp to read the menu. Billy instructed us not to use it because it "wasn't the vibe of the establishment," and told us to use our phone lights instead. The tone was abrupt and dismissive. Around 9:50pm he announced last call. When one guest ordered, his response was, "I guess if you must." Others asked for a moment to decide and were repeatedly rushed. We explained we weren't aware they closed as 10, as Neil had told us it would be open seating after 10. He replied, "Yeah, well I'm closing tonight and I'm closing at 10." When drinks were delivered, they were set down forcefully. As we were leaving, a member of our group overheard Billy speaking negatively about us to another employee, including mocking someone in our group for needing glasses to read the menu and implying she was intoxicated (she wasn't). When this was addressed directly, he did not apologize and instead insisted we had overstayed, which is inaccurate. We ordered promptly after being told last call and left after finishing our drinks. We are locals who intentionally brought out-of-town guests here because we wanted them to have a great experience. It's disappointing that one staff member's conduct overshadowed what should have been a highlight of their visit. I won't assign motives, but I will note that Billy's demeanor noticeably shifted after the final member of our group, who happens to be Black, arrived. I cannot determine why, only that the change in tone was clear. Neil has created something special here. However, a venue's reputation ultimately depends on how guests are treated when ownership is not present. Based on this visit, there is a significant gap between the hospitality the owner provides and the service delivered in his absence. I hope Neil takes a close look at what happens when he's not present, because with the right staff, this could easily be a place we'd want to return to.

We eventually had to flag down our waitress, who had hardly checked on us at all. When we asked about the delay, she said they were "very busy,". After mentioning how long we'd been waiting, there wasn't any real apology--just visible annoyance. She told us our drinks were "up next," but after another 20 minutes passed with nothing, we decided to leave after over an hour of waiting. It was disappointing, especially after such a positive first experience. A simple apology or some communication would have gone a long way.
