Yesterday, I went in to see if my…read moreinsurance covered a traditional cleaning and the receptionist took my card and then ran it through a desktop device and stated it was covered "100%. I said great and made an appointment for a cleaning the next day. I came in at the appointed time and filled out the normal information. They did not ask for a credit card which confirmed to me that the insurance coverage was confirmed again by them. The dental hygenist did an admirable and professional job. As I was leaving the receptionist declared that there would be an $80 charge. I said, no I was told my cleaning was covered by insurance as I was told yesterday. The receptionist seemed uncomfortable and too quickly said let me get the office manager. I retold my story and the office manager said well this was a different cleaning. I replied I sat in the chair for 45 minutes and no one came in to say, oh, by the way, you need a more extensive cleaning and that will be $80 in addition to the "insurance". Do you agree to this upcharge? That simply did not happen. They concluded this guy is elderly so we will intimidate him. I was never given the option to decline, ask what was different between cleaning A, B, or other, etc. it was a classic bait and switch. I am not so easily kowtowed and defrauded. I stated I will not pay for something I did not agree to or was even advised of the possibility of an additional charge. The office manager said she would send my account to collection. Fine, this is a malicious, false, and, at a minimum a contested matter. If a collection agency is not properly advised that the account was immediately contested under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, we enter new grounds for a court to consider. BBB, State Dental licensing complaint, the number of contact points are numerous when you try to defraud and intimidate the elderly.

I formerly lived in McKinney and made the drive to the Garland office and then to the new Rowlett office. A few years ago I moved to Waxahachie, TX, and despite the distance (53 miles, to be exact), I continue to make the drive to Rowlett to Glaser Dental for my regular check ups and cleanings and any and all dental work I need. I know there are tons of dentists in my area, but I am so happy with the care and attention that I get from Dr. Glaser and the staff that it is worth it to me to make the drive. The new office is awesome! The decor is fresh, inviting, and comfortable. Each dental room has televisions so patients can watch their fave shows during their cleanings/procedures and the staff is always attentive to patients' needs. The entire staff is always happy and friendly, the hygienists are very thorough and detailed, and Dr. Glaser is professional and trust worthy. I know that both he and his entire staff really care about their patients and their patients' oral health. I have several family members who are patients of Glaser Dental as well, and we are all very pleased with the care and service we receive on every visit.

4/2/19 update Was able to get conclusive evidence that the…read moremolar I was having trouble with that Dr.Burnett said he could not help me with my pain -even after spending thousands of dollars at his office was confirmed by another dentist, Dr. Musso, that it was a cracked tooth and a cracked filling and I had decay behind the filling which was causing my pain. I was able to get the correct diagnosis from this other dentist because they used an X-ray and from his expertise of examining the X-ray and listening to my description of my pain for the last year ; they were able to save my tooth before it was too late and not have to resort to a root canal. I am convinced if I had not left Dr. Burnett when I did and seek a second opinion I would have lost my tooth for sure.
