Initially, we were told that both impacted wisdom teeth needed to be removed with bone grafts. Later, another provider said only one tooth would need a bone graft. When we finally met with the oral surgeon, she advised us not to remove the right impacted tooth because it was lying sideways, very close to the nerve, and could cause permanent numbness. We ended up removing only the left tooth. The billing was just as confusing. We were charged for one hour of IV anesthesia (four 15-minute units), but the timeline simply doesn't add up. I left the treatment room at 1:03 PM, and my husband didn't even have an IV yet. At 1:33 PM, a staff member told me the procedure was finished and asked me to bring the car around. My husband walked out at 1:45 PM. When I questioned the one-hour anesthesia charge, I was told it included recovery time. That explanation did not make sense to me, especially when the actual sedation time appeared to be much shorter. Patients deserve clear communication, consistent treatment recommendations, and accurate billing. I have requested a detailed explanation of the charges and hope the office will review and correct them. Until then, I cannot recommend this practice.

(So much so, I couldn't eat or sleep) I had some tylenol 3 left over from another medical procedure, but it didn't begin to make a dent in the pain. Of course the pain became intense on a Friday night. My sister had an appointment with Comfort Dental on that Monday, so we decided we'd go together. I managed to get thru Sat. & Sun. somehow, but talked my sister into going way before her appointment on Mon. as I had pretty much reached my limit on pain tolerance. I had a horrific experience at another dental chain in the last year, and have a bit of a dentist "phobia". Not only did the receptionist at Comfort Dental work me in quickly, but I met with Dr. Peterson prior to going back to the chair. I told him what was wrong, that I didn't have insurance, but I had brought a certain amount of cash and that I was on SS. He was very understanding and told me he could work with what I had. Went back to the chair. He ordered X-rays of the problem site. They were a little uncomfortable, but it was only to be expected as the area was so inflamed. The Assistant took great care in what she did, but made sure to make it count the first time so she wouldn't have to do it twice. Making a long story shorter, Dr. Peterson looked at the X-ray, pointed out the problem (which was different than I thought it was) and answered my questions very professionally and patiently. He extracted the bad tooth, listened when I told him about what medications worked for me, prescribed a pain med. and antibiotics and I came home.... I expected some discomfort, after all, I had a tooth pulled and a molar at that, but much to my amazement not only was the pain completely gone that day, but there was next to no soreness as I write this on the Wed. after the procedure. Whatever Dr. Peterson did to minimize the trauma in extracting that tooth worked wonders! The tooth came out with all three roots complete and attached. (****The other dental chain I went to for an extraction had to pry and dig to get the tooth out and I was in a good deal of pain afterwards PLUS they refused to listen to me when I tried to tell them what medication worked for me. I was in pain for days after that procedure.****) I am EXTREMELY grateful to Dr. Peterson, his assistant, the receptionist, and the cashier. Not only was it a super well done job, but it was VERY reasonable in cost, actually less than I was expecting. Thank you for recommending the Gold Plan. The office is conveniently located on the I-30 frontage road with access from Ralph Hall so getting there was very easy. Everyone in the office was very friendly and helpful and my wait was less than a minute for my 9:00 am appointment. Since I was a new patient, they did a full mouth X-ray and periodontal exam. After that was complete, Mary (Courtin) introduced herself and discussed what they had discovered and a plan to keep me healthy. Together we looked at my X-rays (both new and previous X-rays obtained from my prior dentist), and discussed treatment options for areas of concern. Mary is very easy to talk to, and made me feel comfortable right away. You can tell that she has a passion for her job which is something that I feel is very important. Before doing any work, Mary's receptionist brought me a breakdown of the work that needed to be done with prices and expected insurance coverage. I've never had any medical professional do this before and was grateful to know what I could expect to be paying upfront before any work was completed. I could do everything right then, or pick the things that fit into my time constraints and budget. I had a full deep cleaning, as well as repair on a old filling, and in spite of being upside down in the chair for a bit, had no discomfort what-so-ever. Now (24 hours later) my mouth feels just fine and I'm relieved that I've found a dentist who is friendly, thorough, and professional. Steer clear of this place…read more Billing practices are questionable. Management was insanely rude. My husband and I both had awful experiences here and immediately found an alternate team. My husband had botched implant prep here with his dentist being hired and fired within the same month. When he went back for follow-up and placement with a new dentist they paired him with a provider that's out of network with our insurance (we had no idea that their team all take different insurances and they don't disclose that to you). We've called 3 times to have our claim submitted to insurance and it still hasn't been done. For myself, the cleaning tech was wonderful but then I met the dentist and he started making wild claims and recommendations about the condition of my teeth post-pregnancy. As a nurse practitioner I felt very uncomfortable by his bedside manner and sales behavior. I asked for a copy of my x-rays and the recommendations for a second opinion 4 times between phone and email and never received them. This office doesn't care about your budget, respecting your insurance policy, or adhering to a less is more/conservative approach. If you do decide to be treated here keep a close eye on your paperwork and research everything. In the mean time, I'm still working hard to get my booking deposit back (yes they make you pay $75 just to book a cleaning).

Cyndee C. apparently posted on the wrong site, plain and simple because Dr. Koetter treated me with kindness and professionalism above and beyond reproach. I had some issues with what needed to be done in some follow up and when and how. Not only did I go to a different Dentist (momentarily due to a misunderstanding on my part) but dr. Koetter personally CALLED me to check on me and then her staff (Roxanne I think her name is at the front desk) called to see if everything got taken care of. Well it hadn't. We got the misunderstanding cleared up in a snap and she is seeing me for another dental job this week. I was so happy for the follow up, it showed how classy and professional this entire office really is. The first job she did was a snap without any discomfort during or afterward. She has a way of giving a shot that you can hardly feel the needle. Her attention to detail is the best, nothing gets over looked.
