I honestly don't know how this office has a high rating, that is how I decided to give it a try. Starting with the office appearance when you enter is quite desolate. Dirty rug full of animal hairs, 1902 chairs and dirty overall. The office admins seemed ok but the doctor didn't seem to care much. The tech took about 30! Xray with many retakes, it was clear he had no idea what he is doing. When the Dr came in look at my teeth for about 10 seconds made a snarky comment and left. I managed to asked for I get a cleaning ? I had scheduled one.. he said yes! Waited on the chair for 30 minutes and listened to all of the patient's next door problems, including health issues - HIPPA ! - and I decided to get up and check upfront because no-one was paying attention to me and the lady said - oh we can't do a cleaning today! Seriously?! Please don't waste your time with this place. The lack of professionalism and patient care is scary for a dental office. read more

What ever you do avoid this place! They misdiagnosed me, pulled the wrong tooth and missed 4 big cavities, all for the sake of trying to sell a $7,000 dollar treatment plan, that I did not even agree too. Dr Dan Warchol and Dr Leinweber, have no concern for their patients welfare, All they care about is the "Sale" and the money. I now have damage to my bone structure where they pulled the wrong tooth. When I went back in because I still had pain, they recommended that I have a root canal on a front tooth, I refused, and went to another dentist. The other dentist said that, the tooth did not need a root canal, and I had a cavity in the tooth next to it. When I confronted Dr Warchol with this, They "Dissmissed" me from their office! Some care for the patient in pain huh? I hope this review saves at least some people from the pain and suffering I have been through with this place. Avoid at all cost! These people should not be working on other peoples teeth. Go to a professional Dentist, it may cost more, but at least you will have a professional working on you that knows what they are doing. Update! Went to another dentist because I was still experiencing pain from the area where Dr Leinweber pulled the wrong tooth. When Dr Leinweber pulled the tooth, he left a large chunk of the root of the tooth still attached to the bone. Had to have it surgically removed by a real dentist. When you have pulled a tooth, how can you not notice that you do not have the entire tooth? Avoid this place at all cost! read more

Everyone I came in contact with was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and attentive. They listened to my concerns and really did make me feel comfortable. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Tom yet, but I DID have the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Justin Peterson. I was in a great deal of pain and had been for days. (So much so, I couldn't eat or sleep) I had some tylenol 3 left over from another medical procedure, but it didn't begin to make a dent in the pain. Of course the pain became intense on a Friday night. My sister had an appointment with Comfort Dental on that Monday, so we decided we'd go together. I managed to get thru Sat. & Sun. somehow, but talked my sister into going way before her appointment on Mon. as I had pretty much reached my limit on pain tolerance. I had a horrific experience at another dental chain in the last year, and have a bit of a dentist "phobia". Not only did the receptionist at Comfort Dental work me in quickly, but I met with Dr. Peterson prior to going back to the chair. I told him what was wrong, that I didn't have insurance, but I had brought a certain amount of cash and that I was on SS. He was very understanding and told me he could work with what I had. Went back to the chair. He ordered X-rays of the problem site. They were a little uncomfortable, but it was only to be expected as the area was so inflamed. The Assistant took great care in what she did, but made sure to make it count the first time so she wouldn't have to do it twice. Making a long story shorter, Dr. Peterson looked at the X-ray, pointed out the problem (which was different than I thought it was) and answered my questions very professionally and patiently. He extracted the bad tooth, listened when I told him about what medications worked for me, prescribed a pain med. and antibiotics and I came home.... I expected some discomfort, after all, I had a tooth pulled and a molar at that, but much to my amazement not only was the pain completely gone that day, but there was next to no soreness as I write this on the Wed. after the procedure. Whatever Dr. Peterson did to minimize the trauma in extracting that tooth worked wonders! The tooth came out with all three roots complete and attached. (****The other dental chain I went to for an extraction had to pry and dig to get the tooth out and I was in a good deal of pain afterwards PLUS they refused to listen to me when I tried to tell them what medication worked for me. I was in pain for days after that procedure.****) I am EXTREMELY grateful to Dr. Peterson, his assistant, the receptionist, and the cashier. Not only was it a super well done job, but it was VERY reasonable in cost, actually less than I was expecting. Thank you for recommending the Gold Plan. Booked an appt because the front desk told me they took my insurance so I went into my consultation and sat down with Dr Warchol but he asked me to call him Dr.Dan. Dr. Dan and his assistant were super friendly and made me feel very comfortable. they told me that even though my type of insurance wasn't covered that they could still do my xrays and check up for $20. At the end, I was given a quote by someone in billing and it was quite high so I decided to walk and find a dentist in network but the experience was pleasant and I would recommend them to anyone in the area. read more

Well this place is horrible. I usually go to a real dentist, but went here because the hours are convenient. Every other time I have been to the dentist I have been called in a prescription antibiotic because of a common heart problem which I had indicated that I have on the patient information form completed at the previous appointment. When I didn't hear anything, I called to ask them about this. The receptionist called me back, after speaking with the dentist, and said they had called in a Valium instead of an antibiotic. It was disturbing that the dentist didn't know about this when every other dentist I have ever been to has known about it and called me in a prescription prior to my appointment. I didn't feel comfortable risking a heart infection so I cancelled my appointment. My wife had an appointment at the same time that evening which i already planned to go to with her. When we got there, the receptionist informed us that we needed to call our insurance company and get some paperwork over to them before she could be seen. It would have been nice to know this before we walked in the door to the appointment. THEN, the receptionist writes down the name of a doctor (Dr Leinweber) that DOESNT EVEN WORK AT THE CLINIC ANYMORE and told us that the clinic "still uses his credentials" and to use his name with the insurance company. How is that legal?? Some other things to aware of: there are no private rooms, all dental work/conversations about dental work/conversations about money/etc can be heard by the patients around you. Instead of rooms they have open areas with a cabinet in between as a divider. They do not offer toothbrushes and toothpaste in the bathroom upon arrival and act irritated when asked for one to brush your teeth before seeing the dentist. read more

I had full upper dentures done at Comfort Dental in Rockwall, Tx. My extractions were easy and painless and my dentures were immediately placed. After the swelling went down my dentures no longer fit and after one year of constant adjustments they were very painful and they did not fit properly. I went to another dentist for another opinion and he immediately advised that I should see a prothodontist. I had to have another set of upper dentures made and it was done by a completely different procedure. I was told by the specialist that the ones from Comfort Dental were completely wrong and would have never fit. I now have a very comfortable denture. I wrote to Comfort Dental and requested a refund just for the upper dentures themselves and not for the extractions that were done. Comfort Dental denied my request and I am very disappointed wit their services. Do not use Comfort Dental for dentures. You will be very disappointed. read more

I met with the dentist to discuss what my cost will be for a root canal. He said, he would do it for $525. Ok lets get started. He was working on two people at the same time. It took twice as long the first day. I came back to have it finshed up but a women come out to get me and we sat down and she said all it will cost you to day is $289. I told her the dentist had set the price for the root canal and I would not pay any more. He put the filling in and after 2 months the filling started to fall out. THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD WITH A DENTIST. NEVER GO THERE! read more

The dentist who worked here 3 years ago was awful. My girlfriend got her wisdom teeth removed from here and the anesthesia or the numbing stuff they gave her did not work! She had bone fragments coming out of her gums a month after the procedure. She had been going to this dentist for years but after that incident, she changed dentists. Medication was given to her without proper testing to how her body would react and got a chronic disease from the stress of surgery. She was put through excruciating pain that no one should ever go through and left with a chronic disease and PTSD. Horrible!! NEVER GO HERE!! I had to cut the swearing from this and tone it down so it won't get removed. read more

My husband had his back tooth removed, for over a 7-8 week period he has had bits of his tooth that had been obviously shattered during removal-inflaming the gum and having to work through the skin to remove itself. It was extremely painful when the first piece surfaced. He then had to deal with the side effects of a ongoing raw area of gum,. This was an awful experience for an extraction. The office should re-think procedures on services that may cause one to have to wait out for side effects to heal, that cannot really be "fixed" once they are done ie-shards of teeth. read more

The dentists really seem to care about their patients, and in the 4 years I've been using them, they've had a really low turnover of support staff, which I think speaks well to the business, when you have long term employees. To my surprise I received a very kind message here on yelp apologizing about the awful experience I had and extended an offer for me to come in and show me that they are an awesome facilities. So I agreed to go back and give them a second chance knowing the bad apple that fell off the tree was removed. Let me tell u my hygienist Alex was amazing very kind and talkative and concerned about problem areas. I've met a lot of Dentist, however I have yet to met a dentist as passionate about his job, skilled, and honest as Dr. Tom Wilson. I visited Comfort dental some month back because I needed a couple of filings. I also wanted to inquire about getting a couple of veneers because I really didn't like my smile very much. Lucky enough I was assigned to Dr. Tom Wilson who was patient with me and answered all my never- ending questions about Porcelain Veneers procedure. Not Only was Dr. Tom kind and patient with me, but he also worked with my budget so I was able to get 8 veneers instead of the 4 I inquired about initially. If you've been looking into getting veneers I'm sure you know how expensive they can be. I am so in love with my smile now! I can't stop smiling! I get so many compliment about how great my smile is, my friends and family can't believe how amazing my smile is....it's just surreal. I have also gotten some fillings done with Dr. Tom. In addition to the fillings and veneers I did a bit of an invasive procedure called crown lengthening prior to my veneers and I can't be more satisfied. I have read so many horror stories about veneers and the sensitivity that follows once you get it done. I've had mine for a little over a month now and not once have I experienced and sensitivity or pain. Dr. Tom is just heaven sent he is truly amazing, I can't recommend him enough. I rarely ever leave reviews, but I just have. I feel like it's my duty to society to spread the word about how great Dr. Tom is.. Even the office staff is AMAZING!! All the ladies in the office are warm, professional, and helpful. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Warchol and all of his staff! I will never love going to the dentist, but the attitudes at this office at least make going to the dentist bearable. Love Dr. Tom. I have been to several dentist in the last few years, trying to get needed work done that I could afford. The others were too expensive, too rough, not friendly, not supportive so I will only go to Dr. Tom now. I am getting work done now in sections and it has been a great experience every time I have gone in. These folks at the Rockwall Comfort dental are incredible and Dr. Tom is amazing!! Started seeing Dr. Tom several years ago because it was very affordable being that we did not have insurance at the time. Over the years my family saw Dr. Tom and needless to say we love him. I have always been terrified going to the dentist but Dr. Tom makes it pleasent that now I cant wait to have work done. We HIGHLY recommend him. His staff is very nice and makes the whole visit nice and comfortable. I have recommended him to other family members of mine and they love him as well and they drive an hour or so just to see him. Professional, economical, convenient. They take care of business without the "upselling" that I have experienced at a number of dentists in the past few years. They do make recommendations, but that's it. No pressure. I prefer to have a dentist work in my mouth rather than a salesman. They have late hours and GOOD prices. Worth a shot! No complaints about the actual dentists, but I would HIGHLY recommend that you DO NOT get enrolled into their "Gold" membership. This is the most bull crap program I have ever been involved in. I had to switch debit cards mid-way into the 1-year term agreement, and as the payments are automatic withdrawal, I called in advance to notify them. The lady said that I could just cancel my membership and go into an "inactive" mode and I wouldn't be charged anymore. I even made a point to ask if doing that would effect my credit, and she said no. A few months later I receive a letter in the mail that I am overdue on my payments and that if I don't pay in full, it will be put on my credit score. I called and tried to explain what the 1st lady told me, and they absolutely did not care. Horrible customer service. I paid in full and gave them my new card info so they could start taking my payments again. But so far, no payments have been taken, and now I will have to call AGAIN and see what the issue is. I never even got to use the "benefits" of the plan such as 2 exams a year and small discounts off of services. VERY frustrated and disappointed. read more
