They need to improve their integrity. The staff people they hire are dishonest. I was sent $800 to a collections agency and collections agency had to call me. If it had not been for them I would never have known. This was paid in full two years ago at the other bayside that was closed down two years ago. I had to call several times the ofc manager for her assistance but she used excuses after excuses she did not know anything about this and they are very busy to call back ( after leaving 4 VM's and talking live to an employees) I asked for her general manager to call me and to this day I have not received a call. They have a Very dishonest and lazy ofc manager within their premises. Obviously, She does not want to let her general mgr know of her incompetence and laziness with her performance in her job duties. No one has called but they sure call when you are needing your $3/4k dental work started or when you are on a payment plan. They want their money quickly. What about showing you care about the patients and getting a better customer care service in place. I had to call the collections agency to confirm they sent them it was paid in full and to make sure all 3 credit bureaus will delete this account from my credit reports. I would not set foot in that place. It's all about money and not one care for the patient. It's a cattle call. I was abhorred they could treat a patient like cattle. read more

I had a crown and a filling today and I was so afraid to do it because I have always been afraid of going to the dentist because of a bad experience I had as a child. I can honestly say that this was the best experience I have ever had. Do NOT go here. They will steal your money! I had dental work done here in 2021 and they overcharged me by $765.10. At the end of my treatment, I requested a refund for the amount I had overpaid. At first, they said I wasn't due a refund and when I told them I had my EOB's with me, they then said I was only overpaid by "about $200." After over 6 months of emails back and forth and still no resolution, I filed a complaint with my insurance company and they reviewed my account and concurred that Dr. Boeke owed me a refund of $765.10. His office sent me a check for only part of the refund and refused to refund me the rest. They also owe my husband a refund as well. Here is how their "scam" works. 1) They write up a "treatment plan" for you but don't actually get a preauthorization from your insurance. This allows them to substantially overcharge you. 2) They don't give you a receipt at each visit or send you a monthly bill. 3) They don't submit all services to your insurance so you don't know about certain charges and then when you question your bill or ask for a refund there are suddenly new charges that are out of pocket. And when you ask them to submit the charges to your insurance they blatantly refuse because "they know your insurance doesn't cover those services." My insurance did cover all of the services they refused to submit. 4) When you resolve the issues on your account, then they will say there are charges on a family member's account and start moving money around. They sent a refund check to my husband for part of the amount they owed him and then tried to apply that amount to both of our accounts. 5) When you get through all of this then they will say that they provided some services to you "as a courtesy" and didn't charge you and so you actually owe them. In our case, they went back 18 years to when we had seen Dr. Boeke in another practice and claimed that he had provided some services "as a courtesy" and so when you added those costs in we owed him money. They constantly have one excuse after another after another. Buyer beware! read more

Over a year later and I am finally able to afford to correct the mistakes that Dr. Boeke did on my teeth. This is the 3rd dentist who confirmed that the bridge was improperly installed and even made improperly. This was investigated by the dental board as they saw a problem with this yet he paid them off. Stay away from this office! They have bad ethical practices and may be racist as well. read more

The review might be long but may save you some money. My husband came in for a preventative check-up and exam. I don't know if there was a miscommunication between insurance and the office, but in the end, my husband has to pay out of pocket. When scheduling for my husband, I specifically asked them not to do anything that was not covered by insurance. Delta dental insurance listed clearly the date of history under benefit and eligibilities and yet the office told me that the insurance told them the incorrect information. Why would a dental office need front staff if I have to check every single code with the insurance before my appointment? I have worked in the dental field for 10 years and delta dental is one of the easiest insurance to check. So, if you decide to go with this office, call your insurance first to get the breakdown yourself, or beware of extra charges because the front staff will blame the insurance and the patient. I wouldn't trust their front staff. read more

I was a patient of Dr. Brown's , he was an outstanding dentist. Bayside took over his practice and my wife and I got stuck w/Bayside. They put implants in my wife's mouth and there was over an 1/8" gap in between the teeth. They fixed the problem , but when she first went in the acted like it was her fault. I recently had a cleaning and got charged a Covid fee to get my teeth cleaned. I miss Dr. Brown. He cared for his patients and didn't try to charge you for every damn thing. He even gave nitrous to his patients for free, because he said it was easier to work on a comfortable patient. Bayside won't ever get a dime of my family's money again! read more

Went to Bayside last July2020 on a recommendation. Called them and gave them my insurance info and they told me that are in my network so I made an appointment. Unbeknownst to me they charged me out of network price, and I paid it, not knowing at the time. In October 2020 front bottom tooth cracked. Bayside told me I needed a crown and that the price with my insurance would be $750. I paid and scheduled my appointment for the permanent crown. Well near that date my mother came down with covid and I want able to get back in until February. So when I called to finally schedule my appointment they told me I have to pay them another $300. When I asked why they told me that my insurance company didn't pay what they were supposed to. I called my insurance company and they told me that Bayside is out of network. They further told me that a woman from Bayside named HOLLYN was told this in July 2020 and Bayside charged me the out of network price for my cleaning in July! When I called back Bayside the office manager Jay lied right to me and told me they do not have a HOLLYN there. Well I checked Bayside website and lo and behold- HOLLYN is there smiling brightly! Well I called back to confront Jay but he had no answers, would not let me speak to anyone else, and told me unless I paid the additional $300 there was NOTHING HE COULD DO. Very poor customer service for a so called office manager. So next I call their other office and left a detailed message for the business manager who is Ms. Boeke and never received a call back in regards to my situation. So here I sit with no crown and no money. DO NOT USE THEM. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! read more

I received Invisalign from Dr. Boeke last November. My teeth are (less than a year later) almost perfect. Since I have to go in for a visit almost every two weeks, they are always on time and ready to see me. I never have to wait and I'm generally in and out in 15 to 20 minutes. I have called this place my dentist office for 20 years. Dr. Boeke has always been a welcoming and knowledgeable dentist. He hires the most welcoming staff, too. I never wait for my appointments. I have been a patient of Dr. Freeman for over 15 yrs. I was referred by my co-worker. Since then my cousin is a patient and I have referred 2 others. Recently she moved to this office and I sent my husband to get his teeth cleaned. Dr. Freeman was not there, the hygienist recommended some treatments that my husband did not agree with and they became rude and it was uncomfortable. One of my coworkers that lives in Rowlett was looking for a new dentist and I referred her to this place. After this visit, I shared with her the experience we had and suggested she look some place else. I do plan to return but only to see Dr. Freeman. read more

I went for a cleaning and have been in pain ever since I was there for the first time. I do not recommend. Staff is awesome when you go but when the dentist cause you pain, they do not care and that's including the manager. I had cavities and now I need a more expensive root canal due to how they completed my cavity removal and now I'm in consistent pain. I have been in for over four adjustments trying to correct the issue to no results found but a root canal. The worst experience I have ever had from a dentist. I now have anxiety when going to the dentist now and I have to get a root canal. I am 38 and never have had an bad dental experience plus I go to the dentist every year. This was my first experience with this office and from that experience I would not recommend you coming here. If you do, it's at your own risk and I do mean risk, health and financially. Bayside Dental in Rowlett is a rip-off. They charged around $1000.00 from our pocket for a water treatment for bacterial infection. We talked to the insurance and according to insurance people it should be less than $300.00 in total. We had Dr. Karan before for almost 7 years and never had any problem with treatment or insurance. Unfortunately he joined with this group, and this was our first visit with Bayside rip-off. Because insurance haven't covered their bogus claims, Bayside didn't complete the treatment and they are not willing to release the dental records either.
