The surgery went well, exactly as expected. It's important to note I was advised of the various challenges related to my specific situation by Dr. Dombrowski during my initial consultation and provided a detailed treatment plan outlining the 2 to 3 surgeries required to provide the best chance of successfully achieving the desired outcome. Given the deep bone deterioration and the sinus cavity issues, it was SO important to find the right surgeon to help me overcome my extreme dental anxiety and ensure completion of the multiple surgeries necessary to reach the desired outcome. Initially, we were told that both impacted wisdom teeth needed to be removed with bone grafts. Later, another provider said only one tooth would need a bone graft. When we finally met with the oral surgeon, she advised us not to remove the right impacted tooth because it was lying sideways, very close to the nerve, and could cause permanent numbness. We ended up removing only the left tooth. The billing was just as confusing. We were charged for one hour of IV anesthesia (four 15-minute units), but the timeline simply doesn't add up. I left the treatment room at 1:03 PM, and my husband didn't even have an IV yet. At 1:33 PM, a staff member told me the procedure was finished and asked me to bring the car around. My husband walked out at 1:45 PM. When I questioned the one-hour anesthesia charge, I was told it included recovery time. That explanation did not make sense to me, especially when the actual sedation time appeared to be much shorter. Patients deserve clear communication, consistent treatment recommendations, and accurate billing. I have requested a detailed explanation of the charges and hope the office will review and correct them. Until then, I cannot recommend this practice.

If you are on the fence on finding a dentist or wanting to find a new dentist, congratulations you've just found your forever dentist. I am very picky about dentists, it takes time to build trust and know that you're in good hands. In fact, I kept the same dentist for ten years and traveled over an hour to make each appointment. I was very apprehensive and wanted to stay with what I knew. Life got busier and then COVID hit, I fell behind in my dental visits and I took the opportunity to do some research to see if there was a dentist closer to home. I am so glad I did. I was very impressed at the new technology that Dr. Bartz uses, it definitely made the visit easier and seemed to go much faster. The office was very clean and beautifully decorated, I was very comfortable at all times. The staff was very accommodating and wanted to make sure I was comfortable at all times. My experience with KB Dental and Dr. Bartz was first-rate all the way, I'm thankful to have found a dentist I can trust so close to home.
