Called to order a pizza a and young girl named dashia answered the phone not only was she rude for my whole order she proceeded to raise her voice with me after she did not hear me answer her 3 times loud and clear. I called and asked to speak to a manager and got a half a$$ apology from another young girl named amber who probably wasn't even the manager. Super unprofessional and probably won't order pizza from here again because of it! I don't need to give my money to companies that treat their customers poorly. Decided to give them another try. I had a deli sandwich and friend has a small pizza. Don't know why all the good pizza locations are in Phx, Chandler, and Scottsdale...but there are none out in the far east valley. The sandwich was OK with plain fat person's white bread and processed meats which have been known to cause cancer. A blah sandwich. The pizza was mostly dough. Sauce not covering edge-to-edge, not cooked, and the dough was just one piece of dough. Some of best pizza I've found here, Coming from Seattle where pizza is as unique as the people, in this has the best crust, and all around flavor, beats the chain parlours hand down and very reasonably priced. Very disappointed today. After a long, hot day all we wanted was a good takeout meal. I hadn't been to Barros in about 8mos so when I thought about it I started craving the hot Italian sub I used to eat here. We called ahead for some wings and pizza and when we went to pick it up they were four girls in the front and none of them were wearing gloves or masks and the people in the kitchen weren't wearing them either. Barro's needs to be consistent. Myself and our neighbor has ordered delivery to our home numerous times and never been questioned on our address. Typically, I call and they deliver, they ask for my number and they reply with my name and go on to say my address to confirm the delivery address. Today was different. Chantel, seemed approachable at first, however went on to ask my number, address, cross streets etc which was different as usually my info is saved. She said we do not deliver to you, I asked "if this is new" she seemed confused, I told her that they have delivered to my house many times before. She double checked and said no we do not deliver to you and they shouldn't have before. Sorry your management is so terrible and clearly not consistent to have clear guidelines for your staff to follow. read more

We don't go to this location often, but when we do it's usually around lunch. Without fail, we always get the same young lady (with darker lipstick) taking our order. She is always eager to take our order but always falls short of gratitude once the order is paid for. Hands the food over quickly and turns around immediately or speeds off. It's never busy when we're there so I'm pretty sure she has a split second in her schedule to say thank you, smile, or ask if there's anything else we need. I'm not asking for a lot, just a bit of recognition that the customer exists in front of her and gratitude for choosing their restaurant. The staff was rude. Who ever was answering the phone was very short and literally hung up on me after I ordered my carry out. I got there. Picked up my order, only to discover they messed up one of the pizzas. When I told the young lady about it she asked if I told that to the person who took my order (insert rolling eyes). So I had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes while my other pizzas got nice and cold. These girls were awfully short and rude for a pizza place with 8 ppl in it! I don't eat pizza but I'm from Chicago and even the looks of this pizza looks like garbage. My husband can testify that it is horrible. But I was recommended here for salads. Their salads are the lowest grade , worst things I've ever seen. I'd rather by a salad from McDonald's. They use low grade meats and then use ice berg lettuce but charge $9 salad. Placed a $60 order for pick up and they made an honest mistake with checking off the receipt because they were just waiting on one item. They then forgot about my wife for almost 30 mins. The mistake is understandable and I would have only waited 5 minutes to ask if it was ready yet. The problem is there was no compensation for the mistake or at the least throwing in something fresh. Got there about 6 and went to the counter to order. Two female employees, one helping a customer the other on the phone with a customer. She hung up and said something very derogatory. When you do something like that when all the customers in front of you can hear we then all know how you feel about us. Customers are the reason you have a job. It didn't stop there however because people are allowed to have emotions. That attitude carried over to the staff. No follow up at all the entire time we were there. This is my 4th Barrows to go to and he first three were amazing in customer service, quality and cleanliness. If this had been the first one I went to I would consider some other mediocre pizza joint. Managers set the tempo for attitude and work ethic. The worst service and food I have had in a very long time at a Barro's The salad was frozen, the pepperoni pizza slice had 2 pepperonis, my slice of sausage had 2 small rounds of sausage. My new favorite pizza, eat in or take out. My first time last night. The wait was a bit longer than usual for take out but it was a Friday night. We had two medium pizzas..half pepperoni, half meatball and a meat lovers. The meatball was the favorite. The other two a bit salty for me but still very good. The place is fairly large and nicely decorated. The college aged women they have working, about 10 of them have obviously been trained and do a great job. I just tried to place an order at the power and US 60 restaurant, when I explained to the young lady on the phone the last digit of my CVV2 number has worn off and I could not provide it to her she said go into the light or get your glasses, wow!!! This is a regular stop for the group to grab a pizza and a pitcher! It certainly is not the best pie in town, but Barro's is, by far and away, the best dollar for value around. You can get a lousy $5 pizza at all too many places. You can also pay upwards of $30 for a signature pizza. At Barro's,we get a very quality and appetizing pizza for $10-$12. I had a couple of pizzas delivered. They were delivered within the time bracket predicted. The pizzas were terrific! The crust is so fluffy and delicious! The sauce is also great! I got mine with extra black olives and put some garlic sauce on it from my fridge, as I'm vegan and ordered no cheese. Better than any other nationwide chain pizza place.
