I went to this store after having looked at their menu online, only to arrive in person and be told they don't have what I was asking for. The person that helped me was very polite about explaining, but after checking again online it appears that it's just this store that doesn't have ingredients to make a vegan pizza like some of their other locations do. Our order was ready and complete. The Special pizza was OK, but no one liked the chicken wings. The skin was rubbery and several pieces were dry. We may go back for pizza, but not for wings. So mom was in the mood for pizza... We're from New York, been here for years, and well let's just say it's always been tough to find really good pizza. Years ago working downtown there was a S'Barros pizza, I probably had their pizza 2 to 3 times a week. To this day it's probably the closest I can remember to back home. I grew up with 2 slices and a Coke. The pies were ALWAYS just comin up. Perfection... the cheese was so thick, delightfully melted and so HOT it burned as you tried to swallow but it only stretched down the back of your throat. That is what it's supposed to do! Not having been to Barros I told mom let's give it a shot, it's only way to find out. One of the specials is a large pie, one topping, with 10 wings for $30. The pie was for me and mom, the boneless wings for my husband. I ordered original vs thin. The taste was phenomenal. A bit too doughy for our liking but since I wasn't sure, I figured I'd go with original. Chicago is a little thicker than New York so I don't fault them for that. The loss of a star (1/2 pizza, 1/2 wing spice) is because although I only drove 2 miles, when I got to the house it was already on the tepid side and I ordered when I got there to make sure it was freshly made and hot. The wings, now mind you my husband is very hard to please food wise. Super picky, there's always an aftertaste, the batter's too thick, the meat was gross, no matter what he always finds something wrong. Well, this is the 1st time that he was 90% pleased. Where did the 10% go? He chose fire and hot unfortunately it was more like nothing and mild. I had to agree. Out came the Frank's RedHot. The chicken was lean, the size of the nuggets, fantastic. The breading was not thick, so you actually got chicken instead of mouthfuls of breading. This will easily be his go to place for bonless wings. It may not sound like much but trust me this is huge. I can't wait to go back and try the thinner crust. Next time I'll add pictures and certainly hope to add that star. Bottom line, it was really really good. read more

Barro's pizza is so amazing! This is my favorite pizza. Their lunch deals a great! You can get one to three slices with salad and a drink for a good price. Carry out deals are good as well. They have a simple menu. The pizza crust is so fluffy. You will find yourself eating the crust, which means the pizza is the best! I have to mention that the last few times I have come to this location they only have one cashier when there are 10 people standing in line and you have to wait while to put your order in. Especially if you are coming during the time of the lunch specials. There usually isn't a problem with the pizza being ready to serve. I hope that they can get at least two people on the registers during their busy hours to help customers. There are many shops in this area but the is no problem with parking. This is hands down my favorite pizza and I literally force my friends to eat it (or at least try it out). I definitely recommend people to try the pizza! read more

First person I spoke to was very apologetic, and transferred me to the manager who was not friendly. She never apologized, and seemed agitated that she wasn't asking me the right questions to get the information she needed. She argued with me a few times. I asked for the order to be remade and delivered to me. She told me I would need to return the hot wings to them.. Unfortunately at this point we had already put our fingers in the food, and smeared sauce all over it. I was going to send a box of half eaten wings back to the restaurant and ruin some poor delivery person's car. I declined the remake and elected for a credit to be issued for next time. I don't feel the manager was right to be upset with me for wanting my correct order. I also don't think it's right to ask for a customer to send food back to the restaurant. We've been getting really good pizza from this location. It's always pretty good, but sometimes it's really really good. It seems like it's excellent on certain nights so there may be a cook putting some extra love into it. We order from the app and it's always right. You can order whatever you want and do it on half the pizza. We have varying tastes in our home and get weird combos like ham and pineapple on a half, then pepperoni and bacon on another. Then a second pizza with ricotta and cheese, or both black and graham olive on the other side. Italian sausage or meatball and mushrooms. They always get it right. They've even called me to double check because I accidentally clicked "no cheese" instead of extra. The cheese is good quality and the toppings are too. The meatballs and Italian sausage are worth trying. The mushrooms are fresh and the ricotta cheese is perfect. They are good at dispersing the toppings. The delivery people are friendly. read more

I'm sure most of you already recognize this as THE best local pizza chain we've got in Phoenix, and the thick, flavorful crust as well as awesome toppings are delicious for lunch or dinner. Came here for a nice lunch special...two people dining in with two slices and a small drink each came out to just a bit under $10. That's less than you'll probably spend at any of the other options in this plaza. I'd tried the special "hot wing" variety with chicken and buffalo sauce and it was tasty! Just make sure the pre-made pizzas aren't getting too cold. Pizza should always be a hot lunch! There are also tons of seats here, and the place is VERY clean.
