Arrive before they open and expect to wait 30-40 minutes. Let me tell you though, the wait is worth it. We've tried many of their loaves and have loved each one. I recently learned about fresh milled flour and its benefits over standard flour. I am very excited that Barrio also sells flour. I use it for my sourdough at home and have had great success. FMF acts a little differently but the flavor is unparalleled. Our favorite Barrio loaf is the sesame seed covered one. It adds so much depth to any sandwich and is amazing toasted. The staff were friendly and the store front is very clean. It is small so only a few people can fit in at a time, which is why it takes longer to get in and order what you need. Once you're in, it's a quick easy process if you know what you want.

Wow! It is a rarity that I get on Yelp and have a five-star review to leave. Barrio Bread deserves it. Don't let the line keep you from waiting to get some of their delicious breads. From the courtesy umbrellas out front to shield waiting customers from the sun to the genuine (who I'm guessing was the) shop owner, the customer experience was truly top notch. Even with the line, the owner took time to explain the breads and make recommendations based on our tastes. I came to Tucson from Alabama and had heard all the way from there that Barrio Bread was a must-stop place. The word was right! We tried several breads, but the signature sourdough took the cake for me. The rosemary sea salt bagel was a close second, but don't be dismayed if those aren't your choice... all five breads we tried were just amazing! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Barrio bread is the only place worth standing on a bread line in the free world! Amazing product and easily accessible. The employees know their stuff and Don is the coolest. A Tucson Gem.

After visiting my favorite salon nearby and after a great discussion on sourdough with the salon owners, I decided to visit Barrio Bread. I live on the other side of town so this is a special treat to visit Barrio especially in the morning! I arrived around 11:40 and I was surprised to see a line. But I really shouldn't have been surprised, this bread maker and his business is unique and very special to Tucson. By the time I arrived to the front door, there was only one cart left of bread with about 6-7 different breads but the quantities were very few. I was lucky to purchase a loaf of the historic Heritage bread and I wanted to try the community bread that was suggested to me by my friend Justin. I also decided to purchase the bread flour after a brief discussion with Mr. Guerra. I have a sourdough starter I recently woke up from my fridge and really wanted to incorporate a local flour. The white Sonoran wheat is delicious and incredibly nutritious, so why not! FYI Barrio Bread is a unique small store front. It serves its purpose to sell his products. I had a wonderful experience and will return when I want incredible flavorful bread! The community loaf was delicious!!

So there may be a line. I arrived a few minutes after opening at 9 AM. I got in later than planned. I've had the bread before, but not from the actual bakery. It probably took me 20 minutes to make it to the front of the line. They keep water and umbrellas for sun protection near the door if needed. Yes this place deserves the accolades. Don Guerra, owner/ baker, was working the register. He was super friendly and gracious. The variety of bread they offer was excellent. I ordered the cranberry walnut, small baguette, and a quarter whole grain spelt. All of the breads were excellent. The business is clean and well organized, but only a few customers in the store per time. Definitely buy/eat their bread.

By 11:00 the choices are diminished, but doesn't matter because everything is great! Long line but fun to talk with everyone. Enjoy!

First time coming here, I read so much good things about it. And we are looking for a good bakery. My husband is Italian and love bread more than anything. We tried a few different bakeries before, but were not satisfied. Kidding aside, it was love at first bite! Lol! This will be our go to place when it comes to good bread! No wonder lines form here, we just got lucky they still have some when we get there. Staff are super friendly and helpful and we saw the famous baker and he's very friendly. I love this place already!

Already visited 3x in the last month, every bread here is fantastic. The baguettes are so soft and chewy, and the daily special selections are amazing. Will be back to try every bread in their selection!!! 10/10

This is a local Tucson staple, so be sure to go early in the morning when they first open! Yes, there will probably be a line but the bread is worth the wait. If you arrive mid-day you run the risk of the shop being sold out of many of the different bread varieties. Excellent fresh bread, lots of different options, and it was nice to see the owner working the register on a Saturday morning.

LBP's bakers make the sublime goods that I recall from back then. Their crust is crunchy/chewy and their bread is substantial, yet cloud-like. Miches, baguettes, epis, loaves, rolls, croissants, & special flavors; all are highest quality bread. And their cake & pastries? Sainte vache! They have fluffy cream puffs, creamy eclairs, yummy cookies, flavorful pies, and more. And don't get me started on their cupcakes, which are moist and tender and even better when they're Cosmic. There is something indescribably delicious about the apple and cherry Crisps. *Chef's Kiss* The staff at La Baguette Parisienne is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. They are also incredibly kind. On my last visit, I managed to take an epic fall (really more of a clumsy crumple) that included pushing a rolling counter across part of the store. My middle name is "Grace". The owner, Kim, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful (nor could the customers there at the time, so I guess kindness attracts kindness). She helped me to get up and was gracious regarding my minor rearrangement of her shop and cheerful enough that I went from embarrassment to laughter in record time. My late beloved Mama found this lovely, cute bake shop decades ago when they first opened, and she was a delighted weekly customer whenever she was at her east-side Tucson home. I hope to carry on her tradition, if less frequently from my UA-area home, until my time on the planet is done (bury me with a plain large Miche, a Cherry Crisp, and a Cosmic Cupcake, please). Highly recommend!

You really wouldn't see this place driving down Wilmot because it's tucked behind two businesses, with 4 fifteen minutes parking spots designated for the shop. It's a small little pie shop and all pies are six inch mini pies for $7.99. Many are topped with pipped whipped cream unless you order a double crust fruit pie or quiche. I think I've sampled every pie. The size is perfect to split with someone. No drinks or other things are available here, but one can purchase drinks down the way at Beyond Bread. The staff are always getting customers rung up and out quick. Because the space is so small you go in the entrance, order your pies and then go out an exit door. There's no room for meandering or window shopping. You just wait your turn to look and order right away and I rung up the whole space is quite small nonetheless it's fun to go there and get a little treat now and again.
