One of the best bakeries I've tasted. Too bad they are so far away from home. Please park on 23rd st. You can't park on 6th Ave. The bread with cream and jalapeño cheese is delicious. We got some fresh flour tortillas $4.00. They had the Rosca de Reyes small $15 and large $25. We didn't get any. The bread prices range from $1.50-$2.00. Very friendly customer service. Enjoy!

Jalapeño Cheese filled bread, sprinkle cookie and 2 conchas

The bread was so soft, flavorful and fresh even after a 30 minute drive. The owner came out and was so kind and helpful! Hands down better than anywhere I had in California, it's like they all have the same flavor but this bakery taste like it's a family recipe. Thank you! Just on vacation.

Our picks from the panederia! Not a crumb left! Lol

We were in town on vacation and stumbled across this panederia in search of pan dulce. What a find! We met the owner and got to hear about his passion and journey in the industry! A true gem! We stocked up on pan dulce, pan artisenal and tortillas for our venture back home to Chicago!

The most robust jelly rolls in tucson.

This has been the most consistently good Mexican bakery I've been to in Tucson. Most other bakeries you have to fight for the attention of the phone locked teenagers at the cash register but here the owner is almost always here baking/selling and just trying to make a living off a good product. -The cochitos are perfect, exactly as they should be. Most other places in town serve more of a ginger bread pig, which is not a cochito. -The jelly rolls are usually huge, moist and amply filled with jelly. Again most other places serve dry yellow cake with a red swirl of almost nothing in the middle. -The conchas here are a new favorite of mine. They are a very mild, not overly sugary, sweet bread experience that is perfect with coffee. All in all it's just a very solid bakery in terms of product, price and customer service. The only downside is the location. Let's be honest, it's in the ghetto and you will probably have to ward off undesirable people asking for your money at some point. But if you can deal with that then realize this is probably the low key best Mexican bakery in Tucson.

Super soft bread just the way you find it fresh at the panaderias in Mexico. Small store but tasty pan dulce.

LBP's bakers make the sublime goods that I recall from back then. Their crust is crunchy/chewy and their bread is substantial, yet cloud-like. Miches, baguettes, epis, loaves, rolls, croissants, & special flavors; all are highest quality bread. And their cake & pastries? Sainte vache! They have fluffy cream puffs, creamy eclairs, yummy cookies, flavorful pies, and more. And don't get me started on their cupcakes, which are moist and tender and even better when they're Cosmic. There is something indescribably delicious about the apple and cherry Crisps. *Chef's Kiss* The staff at La Baguette Parisienne is knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. They are also incredibly kind. On my last visit, I managed to take an epic fall (really more of a clumsy crumple) that included pushing a rolling counter across part of the store. My middle name is "Grace". The owner, Kim, couldn't have been nicer or more helpful (nor could the customers there at the time, so I guess kindness attracts kindness). She helped me to get up and was gracious regarding my minor rearrangement of her shop and cheerful enough that I went from embarrassment to laughter in record time. My late beloved Mama found this lovely, cute bake shop decades ago when they first opened, and she was a delighted weekly customer whenever she was at her east-side Tucson home. I hope to carry on her tradition, if less frequently from my UA-area home, until my time on the planet is done (bury me with a plain large Miche, a Cherry Crisp, and a Cosmic Cupcake, please). Highly recommend!

We ended up with some jalapeno cheese focaccia, a fresh loaf of sourdough (sliced for us right there), a couple of croissants and a cherry crisp. Everything was incredible and delicious. You really wouldn't see this place driving down Wilmot because it's tucked behind two businesses, with 4 fifteen minutes parking spots designated for the shop. It's a small little pie shop and all pies are six inch mini pies for $7.99. Many are topped with pipped whipped cream unless you order a double crust fruit pie or quiche. I think I've sampled every pie. The size is perfect to split with someone. No drinks or other things are available here, but one can purchase drinks down the way at Beyond Bread. The staff are always getting customers rung up and out quick. Because the space is so small you go in the entrance, order your pies and then go out an exit door. There's no room for meandering or window shopping. You just wait your turn to look and order right away and I rung up the whole space is quite small nonetheless it's fun to go there and get a little treat now and again. And today was one of those days. My mom and I parked while my sister was checking out Bookmans. We picked out a pie to share, went to the patio to eat it, and it was good.
