I joined barre3 Richardson last month to switch up my workout routine, seeking a focus on foundational movement and stability. After trying multiple studios/brands nearby, I opted for barre3 because of their welcoming community and variety of class types. They have several class pack and membership options that made trialing a membership easy and manageable within my budget. I've taken classes with nearly all the instructors now, and while each one is unique, they are all great. There are always options to intensify and/or modify to meet my body where it is that day. Barre3 is one of the most inclusive spaces I've ever experienced. Each class, each instructor is different, in the best possible way. The classes are challenging and the studio has so many opportunities for classes, leaving it EASY to workout and when I miss a day, I not only MISS the workout, but I miss the people. The childcare is above and beyond, and Denielle (owner) is so present in the space. I would recommend Barre3 to anyone - and I mean that. barre3 Richardson is the nearest studio to my in-laws' neighborhood, a 15-20 minute drive. It is the same shopping center as Sprouts and the Bike Mart Eric R. likes to go to when we are in town. Whenever I am in Dallas, I try to get some studio time here since I subscribe to barre3 online at home. I had a very intense workout in Lauren's class yesterday - my towel was soaked. The soreness didn't hit me until I woke up the day after, but man it's a really good kind of sore like I didn't know I could work some of these parts of my body. This is such a fun way to add some exercise into your life that brings the same kind of peacefulness that yoga does while offering a bit more of a work out. Starting out, it seems pretty easy, but I promise your legs will start feeling it as the class progresses. The best part is that everyone here is so non-judgmental and the instructor even shows you alternative stretches/exercises that you can do if you want to keep it simple. You're highly encouraged to make it "your workout" so if you want to drop the weights completely like I did, then drop the weight and keep doing what feels good for you. read more

This place is great! Let me say- I am still sore 4 days later but the good kind of sore... (or at least I tell myself that because I should be in better shape). First time here, I came with a friend because they were running a special to bring a friend to class for free. I like to try things out before paying a crazy amount of money on passes I will never use. I will definitely use these passes. Let me start of saying- I feel like I am in some kind of "good" shape- but this class kicks you in gear. I am not coordinated at all but it does not feel awkward because there are all kinds of levels at each class. I do not do Yoga so the poses were new to me, but the instructor comes around to all sides and the middle to show you the pose. They start off in the middle of how hard something is and then they show variations for those who need a little easier or for those who want to make it more difficult. The instructor, Megan, was great. Came in and checked on me regularly. This is a class I should be taking regularly to help build lean muscles and help stretch and flexibility (post having a baby). Clean facility, and CHILD CARE (on certain classes - $5 for a time but they have a cute play area for the kids)- you need to call ahead and sign up because its limited to 6 babies 6 weeks and older. Owner is very sweet and there is no push or sale at the end of the free class. You can buy passes or if you loved it do unlimited for a month. Its a great location, great instructor and kick you in gear to motivate you to get in better shape at your own pace. Looking forward to being sore again... hoping more I go less soreness!! read more

I went to the opening week of Barre3. They were offering free classes all week so I had to check it out. Check out their website, I think that all first timers get their first class free. Teacher-I took Angela's class and another girls class the first week. They were both great instructors. Positive, Motivating, and inspirational the entire class Class-Let me start off by saying, I am not a huge fan of other Barre classes (PurreBarre to be exact). I loved this class because for each exercise they start off by doing a mid-level variation, with the option to increase to the harder level or decrease to the lower level. I think I am pretty in shape, but stayed at the mid-level for all of the workouts. Giving me something to work towards in future classes. Studio-Clean, Fresh. I came straight from work and was able to go into the bathroom and change for class. They are fully stocked with deodorant, lotion, dry shampoo, etc, for the working woman. I don't have kids, but would imagine that having babysitting on site is a huge benefit to moms. $129/month unlimited is their current promo rate. It may already be over, but a great rate for unlimited studio access. The average barre class ranges from $20-$30/class, that unlimited rate would pay for itself. read more

I recently had rotator cuff surgery so I was looking to replace my boot camp classes with something challenging but not brutal to my muscles and joints. Can't say enough great things about the barre3 workout and this studio in particular. The workout experience challenges you to push yourself but also accept how you are feeling. It's a fantastic physical and mental workout (hello sore body and stress relief), and I always leave feeling encouraged and refreshed. I tried a couple of classes through class pass and loved it! The instructors are warm and welcoming. So far I've been to Lauren, Hannah and Lily's classes. They are all great! I just recently bought a 10 pack of classes and after that I am debating about joining the monthly unlimited classes membership. The facilities are nice and very clean. I grew up dancing (like when I was 12 :) ), but my entire adult life has been geared toward high intensity workouts. After my 3rd baby, I needed something different to get myself back into shape and feeling strong. I didn't know what to expect going into Barre, but I was excited because I had heard great things. I wanted something that would also help me gain back some confidence that you loose with the aftermath of baby weight. Everything about this studio is magic. The owner, Angela, makes every single person that walks through the door feel important. She makes a point to learn peoples names and has such a warm and welcoming personality. The workouts are amazing. If I'm being honest, they are way better than I even imagined they could be. They allow anyone, regardless of fitness levels, an opportunity to have an amazing workout, and they are more challenging than I anticipated--in the best way possible. Nothing to be intimidated by, however, because the entire purpose of the classes--and direction by the instructors--are about listening to your body....pushing yourself to your own personal limit. If you are looking for a positive environment and workout to push yourself to feeling stronger and more balanced, you will NOT be disappointed by Barre3 Richardson. I have become such a fan of Barre3. I had tried it with my daughter who lives in Oregon (which is actually the mothership of Barre3) so I was familiar with it and found it to be very challenging for me but loved the feeling at the end of the session. When it opened here, I wanted to try it again but delayed because I was lazy. But this Spring, I did it, and although it's a little pricey, I became a member. This workout is not just physical exercise, it's about the mind-body connection. It's good for anyone at any age, but particularly good for someone like me who really needed to incorporate more than aerobic activity (although there's plenty of that in Barre3 also!). The strength and flexibility emphasis has done wonders for me, and I'm just better mentally, if you can believe that! The owner and instructors at this Richardson location are excellent and I highly recommend it! read more
