Barraco's is a great neighborhood spot for drinks and food. Friendly staff, nice bar and patio too. Food is always on point. I recommend the thin crust pizza, fish sandwich and surprisingly they have a delicious beef sandwich. I'd recommend my friends and family here any day! read more

Barraco's recent expansion over the last few years has without doubt negatively affected the quality of food. Do not order take out food as you will be very disappointed. This used to be one of my favorite stops and I will no longer step in their restaurants. Shame! read more

I could not say enough great things about barracos. Daniella is amazing. So accommodating. Food is incredible. And last but not at least Marty the server is the best!! He is fast & always ready when you are for your next. Barracos is the best! read more

Great Pizza and great location I come here all the time and would recommend to anyone in the area. Top Notch on the south side!!!

Well the burgers are great. The grill cheese was good but FYI it's on burger bun. Sadly their friend appetizer plater was like ice cold and or extra smoochy . I will include the picture to show . Some of the bread about 10 pieces were just breading. Come on every time I order delivery here something either missed or not cooked. read more

Barraco's Pizza - Italian Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I have been a Barraco's customer from the day I moved into the area. I've almost tasted everything on their menu! Everything I have ordered has been delicious but everyone has there favorite pizza place and this is definitely mine. The restaurant itself is amazing inside. I have had two special parties there one a graduation and the second my mother's 90th birthday. The food the service the decoration has always been superb. I won't use this as a forum for my political views because that has nothing to do with what I want to see in a review. read more

Great family place. Love their pizza, Salads, chicken dishes. Nice private back patio for outside dinning. read more

All great food and experience with Barracco's. Service is excellent! Great atmosphere!

Barracks Mt Greenwood was fast delivery. They said maybe an hour an about 20 mins later a pound on the door with a happy guy in a face mask handing me my hot hot pizza and pasta. Which by the way it was hot and delicious. The Mostocholi with meat sauce was the bomb, and I I am very picky of meat sauces and this one was fantastic. read more

Don't let the basement dwellers sway your beliefs about barraco's food. The service is great, the food is great, the atmosphere is great, there isn't anything bad I can say about the B-Rock. It's a shame some basement dwelling turds are gonna try and tarnish a great businesses reputation read more

Don't book a private event here. I have been trying to call every day for 2 weeks and have either been told "the banquet hall manager is busy" or to call back at 10 am when she's in. I've called back at 10 am 3x in one week and the phone rang for 5 minutes. Starting to think there is no banquet manager at all. Extremely dissatisfied and will not plan on booking any other events here. Good luck to the brave that try. Also, no email address to even contact??? Is this the stone age? read more

Pick-up thin crust pizza was barely warm. I came 5 minutes early because it was the same issue last time. The counter staff is never in much of a hurry to help take-out customers. read more

My experience was wonderful!!! The person at the front desk was i think named Kevin ( everyone was calling him Kevin). He was great very attentive and helpful with bringing me and my family to the table. If you come to this barraco's definitely ask for Kevin to make your experience as good as mine!! read more

Want pizza? DON'T DO BARRACO'S!!!!! I was a customer for 15 years until today! Pizza stale. No customer service (and I spoke to one of the family!!) No recourse on a bad experience. Plus....bad attitude as a side dish! Southsiders...go the extra mile to Italian Fiesta! read more

This place is such an enigma. The food is consistently very good. It's certainly nothing fancy but well prepared south side Italian fare that is always very satisfying. The front of the house, however, is a complete mess. We have dined here on at least 2 dozen occasions and every single time the service staff have been laughably incompetent. From reservations that aren't held, to seating elderly people with walkers at the furthest possible table to forgetting drink orders and missing entrees. It's unfortunate because the food is really decent. I just wish the management would get their act together and start training the front house staff. Food is a solid 3, possibly 4 stars. Service 1 star average. read more

This WAS my favorite pizza place in the Southside. It took an hour and 15 minutes for my Nick's thin crust pizza to arrive and it was ice cold. The driver called, instead of coming to my door and ringing the bell. I had to walk to his car to get the pizza. I called the store to complain about my cold pizza and the deliver man and the manager was condescending about the whole thing. Offered to remake it... So we can wait another hour and 15 minutes, no thanks. Good bye barracos... We have a good run! read more

Good atmosphere, friendly wait staff, but slow slow slow food. The soup could stand to be hotter, too, was lukewarm and just didn't taste right because of that. The beer selection was good, the TVs to watch the Blackhawks game were ample, but, as I said, the whole meal situation took too long. The girl sitting on the couch trying to be stealthy as she smoked her ecig wasn't stealthy.. She should have been asked to leave, since on the door, it says they aren't allowed inside. Also, there are not enough toilets. When three little boys want to take the ONE guy's toilet so they can all text together, it is dad that I needed to go all the way home to use the bathroom. I'm not trying to be gross, but letting the situation be known. read more

Barraco's Pizza - Italian Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I've been eating here and all of their locations for years. Everything on the menu is great. A great family business who supports their community. Their take out service during COVID-19 has been a life saver for those of us who work late nights. read more

Awesome pizza and sandwiches, super-friendly staff. Also had delivery's from them, prompt and hot! Love them, will be back again soon!

Been going to Baraccos for many years and always had impeccable service. Their food is amazing and my go to spot when ordering deep dish pizza. For the hateful comment, Dee H. Sorry you feel that way and best wishes finding another delicious pizza restaurant that comes close to Baraccos. read more

I like Barraco's pizza, and we've ordered from their 95th St. restaurant several times, for dinners and catering. I was happy to see their newest site less than a mile from my house. My family--all adults, parents, siblings, spouses, niece and nephew--ate here last night. Our party of nine was almost too big for the place--we over-filled the largest table. (Tables are round and can't be pushed together.) The food is okay. Not great, but pretty good. Between all of us, we sampled a good variety of food, and no one was dissatisfied. The portions are large--we all took home doggie bags. But the prices are higher than average for the area. If you go out for pizza/casual dining, it's a little pricey. The place is new, and they don't seem "complete", yet. I'm sure they eventually add artwork to the brick walls and expand their playlist (though I do appreciate Springsteen! All the other music was Italian pop). Parking is terrible. There's very limited space on the street, and the side streets are one-way and/or cul-de-sacs. There was an initiative in this neighborhood several years ago to address traffic problems by severely reducing thru-streets. This has had mixed results. I'm sure the residents appreciate less traffic roaring past their homes after the (many) area bars close. But for patrons of businesses, it's a pain. I think this is the main reason so many business at this site fail. For businesses that rely on quick transactions (picking up a Tata's pizza or running into the hardware store) parking spots open up fast. But sit-down restaurants don't have that level of parking turnover. Bottom line: be prepared to park a block or two away and then walk. My main concern was the slippery flooring. When we arrived, it was pouring rain. The floor was a little slick from people tracking in water. You just had to be careful and pay attention. But the rain stopped and the floor seemed much drier on the way out--NOT ! There were still some slippery sections. This was nerve-racking, because we dined with my parents, who are in their late 80's. (My dad walks with a cane.) I escorted him, but I was skidding in a few places. I think it's the flooring. I hope management figures out how to handle this, possibly having someone assigned to continually dry the flooring whenever it's wet out, or maybe installing more absorbent floor coverings in the entrance way. I can't think of another restaurant where I've been this concerned about the floors. I hope this business survives and that I'll have the chance to eat here again--though frankly, unless it's for a sandwich, it's a little out of our budget. I'd rather get this kind of check at an old school steakhouse, not a pizza place. read more

I would give Barraco's a 3.5 if I could. My daughters Mac & Cheese was delicious and so was my husband's Freddy sandwich. I HATED my buffalo wings. I was so looking forward to these and was absolutely disappointed. The sauce is just weird. My son's cheeseburger was not very good either. The service and ambiance are very nice. We will definitely go back, but I will avoid the wings. read more

Attended a baptismal celebration at their private party section and I was positively impressed! The room looked elegant, tastefully decorated and the seating arrangement was very favorable, despite the large number of guests. The food was excellent, the wait staff was very pleasant and efficient. Additionally, Joanne, the host, stated all pre-party arrangements ran smoothly thanks to Fran....definitely a place I would consider in the future. Oh, and I do not want to leave the icing on the cake out... the BEER GARDEN!! Directly accessible from the party room...a lovely and perfect space to extend the party for those that aren't ready to leave...I was there well past 3 hours after everythng had ended, and loved everythng about it ;) read more

My husband and I had a party scheduled with another pizza establishment in the area for our daughters 1st birthday. When the restaurant had to cancel the day before, we called Barraco's to see if they could accommodate us last minute. We talked to Helen who made sure we knew they'd accommodate us with no problem. Barraco's welcomed us in today. They had a small party area set aside for us which was classy and roomy. Their servers, Claudia and Vincent were efficient, friendly, and wonderful. Did I mention the pizza was outstanding? This is our new favorite spot! read more

When I heard Barraco's was going to open in the former Corrigan's space on 111th, I thought, ooh, it will be good to have a good neighborhood restaurant there again. I'm not sure when exactly it opened; it hasn't been open long, but they have it down. (They should - Barraco's has been around awhile.) I've always liked Barraco's, but mostly I've had their catering. This is maybe my second time in one of their restaurants. We had maybe a 10-minute wait. The waiting area is furnished with big, comfortable sofas with lots of throw pillows. Just at the point where I was thinking, hmm, maybe we should try somewhere else, our pager went off. Wow, this was good. The service was terrific. You sit down, you get bread that's not just warm, it's HOT. And fresh. And I noticed later that there was a guy walking around with MORE. Mmmmmmm. The salad that came with my dinner was really good, and it was big enough that I almost asked them to wrap my dinner right away. (Almost.) My one (minor) quibble with the salad was that there was a tad too much dressing on it; on the other hand, the dressing was so good (creamy garlic on this trip) that I was kinda glad there was a lot of it. The greens were fresh, crisp, and fabulous. I had the fried shrimp. I don't usually get shrimp in restaurants; it tends to be a disappointment. Not the case here - the shrimp were huge and perfectly prepared. It was a shame we didn't try the desserts - their selection is pretty big. Maybe I'll just have to make a special trip, just to try the desserts. My one and only serious complaint, and this has always been a problem on 111th - there's just not enough parking. Please, Barraco's, make a deal with the bank across the street. Other than parking, this is a terrific place. read more

We ordered the sausage and peppers dinner. When we got home there was just sausage and peppers. No red sauce, no pasta. When I called to ask where those items were I was told the pasta only comes with dine-in orders. Currently unable to dine-in due to Covid-19. The young lady on the phone should be more versed on the menu. Not going to waste my time with Barracos anymore. read more

BEST THIN CRUST PIZZA! I've lived on the south side of Chicago for the majority of my life and have been a long time fan of Barraco's. I used to favor the Evergreen location before this one opened. The food is fantastic and they make it very easy to order online. The delivery was lightning fast arriving 30 minutes faster than anticipated. The only thing I might recommend is adding food photos to the menu so that we don't have to google some of the items. Thanks ! read more

Today I ordered delivery from their 111th st. location for the 2nd time. I was extremely pleased with the food today and the order last time, which was a couple of months ago. Delivery time was well within expectations as well. read more

We love the pastas and salads - Excellent! Not too fond of the pizza but that's just due to a personal preference for type of sauce. Last time we ordered wings they were meh (dry or overcooked or something)... Usually put order in online for pick up and it's always ready and correct. read more

Have been going to Barraco's at different locations for years and enjoyed their great tasting pizza. After reading the mixed reviews I thought that the graduation party I was attending was likely to be my only visit. The pizza was great, it was so good that I now plan on picking them up from here. I would like to add that the servers during the party did an excellent job I recommend this place for a great dining experience! read more

Ok, I am beyond impressed with this place. First I always order from here, great pizza, I love the flat pizza personally, they do not skimp on ingredients and not to spicy with the seasoning, but has lots of flavor. THAT ASIDE, we had a very bad tornado warning yesterday, high winds, hail, raining cats and dogs. We got a order in just before or right after warning went out and sirens started blowing. So I'm thinking, pizza not coming till all this is done. LOW AND BEHOLD, WHAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A 30MIN TO WEATHER BETTER, door bell rings, we hurry get the pizza so drive can get the hell to safety, lmao. I applaud them for thier VIP service and right after he left, all hell broke lose, but we got some goooooood pizza while we sat in the dark read more

Since going when it first open, all I can say is OMGez!!! This place is freakin phenomenal. To our surprise, after my husbands graduation from the CFD we decided to go to Barroccos; they have a BUFFET set up during lunch hour!! There was no waiting the staff was friendly like always and I LOVE their chicken vesuvio. Totally recommend this place not only because I live in Mount Greenwood and they are local but honestly it's a very family friendly place. Give them a try. read more
