Bone in ribeye. Coleslaw and a sweet potatoe. Cooked medium rare and just right!
Tim K.

Had dinner here for the first time in a while. Ordered a ribeye. My steak was cooked OK. The cut of meat was strange. Not the best ribeye for sure. My salad was not that good as it wasn't mixed well and had chucks of lettuce and onions. The bar is fun and a-little dated but good place to watch football. Overall disappointing food. One bright spot is their service is spot on!

My pesto grilled chicken was outstanding came with a really nice salad.

The sports bar section is great! Friendly bartenders and waitresses. Stopped last night to check it out for watching football today. The bartender remembered what I was drinking. Good prices on food and drinks. The ribs were delicious. Love the sport bar atmosphere. Good music also.

Tables in bar too

Been here a few times when I'm in town to visit cause it's one of my Dads favorite bars to meet friends at. Great friendly staff and usually get margaritas here that are pretty good! Really affordable too!

Overcooked ribeye- undercooked broccoli- delicious sweet potato

Man I so wanted to like this meal. First I showed up to pickup a Togo order and the front desk girl was in the back chatting instead of watching the front door. I waited patiently even though I could see her talking it up in the back- but it happens. She finally notices me, grabs my Togo order and thanks me for coming. As I grab my food I ask if there are utensils in the bag, to which she responds "sorry we don't have any". I explained to her that I'm staying in a hotel and require utensils. She responds then my "hotel should have some". To which I reply, "sorry should you". She then let me know that she's been telling her manager to order them but he hasn't done it yet. Arrghhh. Welp what can I do I go to the grocery store next door and get some- great. Finally I get to my hotel and shocker my medium rare steak is over cooked and the broccoli was under cooked. Too bad seemed like it could have been good- on a different note sweet potato was awesome. Too bad there wasn't salt and pepper in my bag either. So disappointed.

Pulled pork sandwich and Mac n cheese
Kali R.

Came here last Wednesday for a birthday dinner. We got the onion rings as an appetizer and they were delicious, great batter and fried perfectly. Unfortunately the rest of the food did not live up to the onion rings. I got the pulled pork sandwich, which was okay. The mac n cheese was horrendous - overcooked pasta with what looked like merely broiled, shredded cheese? Making a roux is simple and adding cheese that has actual flavor is not much to ask for.. I would have been happier with boxed mac n cheese, to be honest. The other people got steak fries, beans, and grilled chicken and the bbq sampler with brisket and pulled pork. The beans were also strange - they were super spicy, but not in the sense that they were hot, just a ton of actual spices to the point where they were a bit gritty. The brisket was sad and dry. The chicken was bland, but it was cooked well and not dry. Our server was great and it was not very loud on a Wednesday. I wouldn't come back. The food is mediocre for the price.

GO STEELERS! Lotsa love here for the Black & Yellow.  Bar was 90% full for the Wild Card Raven match up. Met some friendly Penn State & Pitt Steeler fans which was awesome.  Green Bay is the back up, U of A flags, Cardinals etc, it's a great Sports Bar!  Quieter Dining Room in the other side.  4+ local taps incl Dragoon, Barrio Blonde, 2 Hazys and domestics $6 a pitcher during HHr 11-4pm daily,  $8 Specialty cocktails and Margheritas all sounded like beach hut pours, pass except for a Moscow Mule and a $11 Patron Cadillac.  Hubby and I shared the Half Rack Combo $34 with brisket. A Caesar counts as a side here, bummer, so took a spud for our 2nd side. Caesar dressing had great flavor, think it was bottled, served in a solo on side, and lots of Parm sprinkles, it was a tasty beginning. As a side, next time would ask for it to come out first before the hot mains so we have time to eat it as our mains got cold while eating the salad. Ribs 3.5/5 were fall off bone though we prefer a bit of give/chew, good bark though and BBQ sauce has slight vinegar tang, not sickly sweet, we used all of it too. Brisket though you get 3 huge, meaty thick 3/4" slabs, they were not as good as the ribs. More steamed texture, flaky dry, bland vs a moist smoky chew; salt n sauce helped 3/5. Baked potato came unwrapped, fresh and cooked through as you'd expect, sour cream butter on side, but what no chives/onion? Overall enjoyed everything enough with Lotsa meat, and even sharing we still had 2 ribs and half piece brisket leftover.  Hubby ordered chocolate cake and it came warm chopped up in slices, somewhat small esp for a piece of cake, with 3 scoops ice cream... pretty sure this was the brownie sundae haha but this our 3rd waitress told us she was new and didn't know much, said yes it was the choc cake and is served with ice cream. But warm? So the Mystery dessert was delish 5/5, but more of the so called cake/or brownie could be increased by double for better ratio cake: scoops. A clean plate regardless haha. The coffee though is thin in flavor and a bit sour but provided the warmth and dark sip needed to accompany dessert but kinda steep $4 for restaurant brewed.  Waitress didn't know the brand either and forgot to find out for us..we're Portlanders so you know coffee rules there, we need to know, so we can avoid it at another place lol. Tip: make a break to sneak in a *Bucks from nearby Bashas, same car lot to really make dessert enjoyable ;) Have to return to see the Steeler homies, the food 3/5 is good enough, servers are all attentive and fly by you frequently, Steeler Bar makes it a 5, so putting a 4* here for ambience and aok pub grub. Thanks Barnfire for a Win-Win today, Steelers 'W' and meeting the Sonoran Steeler Nation, yee haw!

Great good and good price. A good alternative to Texas Roadhouse. Ask for Makayla!

I decided to revisit Trident, as it has been a few years. I usually go to another establishment,…read morebut we all need to venture out of our usual places now and again. I was greeted by the bartender who was SUPER friendly and made me feel very welcome. There were others at the bar that asked if I needed a seat at the bar. Very cool vibe. Sports bar vibe....with a family friendly place as well. The second bartender that relived the first one was..nice and friendly, but I did not get that "happy your here "feeling. I ordered the HH cod tacos with slaw, avocado lime sauce, and salsa. They were so good!! The blend of the fresh fish with the slaw....YUMMY. The fish was perfectly cooked. Crisp and not greasy, and so flavorful. I wondered why they delivered a bunch of napkins and ....a few bites in I realized. All over the face, and dripping down the chin....good!! :-) I got a burger to go, with added green chilies. I asked for rare, and I got medium to medium well. Sad panda, but it is still a good burger. I just really love to taste the burger at a rare temp. I also asked for a cup of the gumbo. My first bite was SO salty. I don't know if it was in storage or not fresh, but it was a salt lick. Could not taste the flavor past the saltiness. Good locals place, and prices are reasonable. I appreciate a Veteran owns the establishment and since I am a Veteran as well....I will always support Veteran owned!!

The good news: portion sizes are quite large, and their fries are wonderful…read more The bad news: be careful before ordering an appetizer, you probably won't finish your entree. We had to try the deep fried pickles (excellent, they are spears not chips), but I had to leave most of my fries behind. Also be aware that the sound level can be pretty high making it hard to carry on a conversation without shouting. Service was snappy and efficient - our drinks were kept full. Atmosphere is bar-like with a see-through kitchen. My wife had the fish & chips - excellent. I had the Captain's platter which is a little bit of everything. The shrimp were to die for. The one downside is everything came fried in the same batter & oil, so everything starts to kinda taste the same. We'll be back the next time we get a craving for deep-fried seafood!

The bartender and server seems to be interacting with everybody, laughing and having a good time. I was told to sit down wherever I wanted and within one minute my server came over to me , got my drink order and left a food menu for me. I had a large beer that was served at the perfect temperature and ordered a Philly burger. The burger was nice and large and covered in a tasty brisket. Served with grilled onions and cheese. The french fries were also hot and very tasty. I was trying to think of my score for this experience and have to give it a five there were no real problems at all! It's a sports bar and doesn't try to be anything else. Televisions were on all over the place and there was a good energy flowing amongst the staff and customers. So everything that it is rated on; food service, and ambience all met my expectations. Great job by everybody I will definitely stop back!

Update: my second time visiting this awesome restaurant…read more I sat at the bar as there was a waitlist for tables. My evening could've went a different direction if I got a table. Same friendly vibes as last time. The manager at the host podium was friendly as always. Very welcoming and stopped to check on me a few times in passing. Alex and Patty were working the bar and they make a great team. Alex was funny and attentive. Very personable. Patty was at the other end but seemed very efficient and friendly. She even said she remembered me from last time. Crazy. Tonight I oreded the chicharones with lobster queso dip. A win, no matter the occasion. Creamy cheesy and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a whole lobster tail in that dip. Lots of meat in there. It was a tough choice , but I forced myself to order something different from last time. Knowing their steaks are a prize on their own, I ventured out on the the halibut. Boy, am I glad I did. It's served in a seafood broth that was just scrumptious. I spooned every last drop of that broth. More than one employee stopped to tell me it was their favorite dish too. Which brings me to my favorite part of this visit. It was a server named Peyton. She struck up a conversation about my shirt and it went on from there. She is a young, polite, angel of a girl. If you happen to get her as your server. You will fall in love with her attitude and Aloha. She is a real treasure to this restaurant. Thanks Charro , for another great experience. Smiles all night long and afterward.
