Most recently I visited the South Elgin Best Buy for the first time post-pandemic and immediately was greeted, as they normally do, however, the young man caught me a little off guard by asking "What brings you to Best Buy today?". I didn't expect that level of service by a greeter but hey, I liked it. I told him I was shopping for a new A/V receiver as my old one bit the bullet. He effectively guided me to the right section of the store and we went on our merry way. I unfortunately was taken aback by the lack of product on display and it looked like they were using their retail space like a warehouse. cardboard boxes everywhere. I understand buying patterns have changed over the years and especially after the pandemic, but the place just looked a little disheveled. Kind of like me after a tough day at work. I'm still me but a bit worn and I'll need a little time to freshen up. The product that I wanted to take a closer look at was out of stock (shame on me, because I did a little research beforehand on their website and could have easily seen that this location didn't have any left). Disappointed, I started to walk away when two employees came up to us, asking if we needed help and one of them, Tristen, immediately took charge and looked up to see if they possibly had one. They didn't but he offered to place the order and have my purchase delivered the next day free of charge. Done! I know in this day and age that the next-day free delivery thing is commonplace, but that's not what struck me, it was the way in which we were treated. Quick, courteous, friendly, on-point, and effective. By the way, I just installed the a/v receiver which was delivered as promised.

I do NOT want to talk to a call center, yet alone one outside of the United States. My problem is with the store. Regarding Best Buy CUSTOMER SERVICE - if I could rate it a ZERO Stars I would. You are losing customers everyday due to your extremely poor customer service. All of the products you sell can easily be purchased elsewhere at stores who have wonderful customer service. Please don't be another U.S. store that disappears just because you thought it was a good idea to ship your customer service calls to other countries. It will be your loss, not ours, because your products will just be purchased elsewhere.

I went to 2 places trying to find someone to fix my Fitbit. The plastic insert on the band cracked…read moreoff inside the face of my Fitbit watch and I tried everything to get it out. This was required for me to be able to put a new band on it or I would have needed to buy a new one. I figured someone with the right tools and experience with detail may be able to help, and that's when C&K electronics came to the rescue.
