I've been wanting to try Bark for a while now and I'm glad I finally got the chance to! There's a few parking spots out in front, and more parking available on nearby streets as it's in the uptown area. The space itself is very clean, spacious, and modern feeling. It looks like there's ample outlets for a study sesh, but weren't very many tables at the time I was there. I ordered two iced salted caramel lattes, because I had seen a previous review that loved them and I do love a good salted caramel flavored treat. The price point is great, two large lattes was about $9.50 I think. However I must say, I was kind of disappointed. It honestly tasted like overly sweetened milk ): not sure if there was too much syrup added or if that's what it normally tasted like but I probably would not recommend it. It was way too sweet, and I could not taste the espresso what so ever. I'm a huge coffee fan and I didn't even end up finishing mine. I might try again and order something different because maybe I caught the barista on an off day, but to be quite honest I'm not sure if I will. This place is great. The inside and ambiance are peaceful to study and work. There is plenty of room to study, there are no serious distractions. The chairs and desks are clean and simple. There are outlets around, the wifi is decent. The music is not loud like other coffee shops. The menu is decent and simple with some limited pastry options. A little pricey but worth the price to support the small business owner who is attentive and keeps the place clean and useful. I only wish they were open late past their normal hours. When I judge coffee shops, I also do it off of the ambience so I'm going to give a lot of details. When I walked in, it was dead silent. There was no music and no one at the register to greet us. The table we sat at (the shorter ones) are really flimsy and moved while I sat at them. If you want to do homework here, though, it is good for that. There isn't too much loud noise. The short chairs are a bit uncomfortable though. It was very clean inside, though. As far as customer service, the cashier/barista was really nice. I had a few questions about the menu and she was able to answer them. I got the hot cocoa, the matcha latte, and the iced tea lemonade. I'll start first with the cocoa. I got the cocoa with marshmallows in it, which I thought was cool. It had chocolate drizzle on top of the marshmallows as well. It was good at first but when I passed the marshmallows, it tasted like a hot cocoa you can get from any gas station. My rating for it is 3/5. Next I'll talk about the Iced Matcha Latte. It came in a really nice cup. The cup itself is sturdy and has a useful tool if you want to cover the hole in the lid. The drink itself was not good. It was drowned with milk and had little Matcha. Overall, I'd say it was a 2/5. Last is the black tea lemonade. This one was the best drink by far. It came in the same cup as the iced Matcha. The black tea tastes pretty good considering my other drinks and the lemonade was rightly sweetened. I'd rate this drink a 5/5. Overall, this place deserves a 3/5. The drinks were okay and it's an okay place to study. read more

This place is super low-key. It is a little difficult to find b/c it is nestled amongst other shops in the heart of uptown Whittier. Last time I was here, I ordered a mocha. I always gauge the quality of the coffee based on the whether or not you can taste the espresso. Well, I was able to taste the espresso. The coffee here did not have the syrup aftertaste that some of the cheaper quality coffee leaves. My BF drank a chai and he thinks that Bark Coffee has one of the best chais. My favorite study spot! Been here multiple times now. The cafe is large spacious with plenty of seating, big tables, and numerous outlets. It's also usually very quiet with most people here to study. Both of the workers I've seen here seem very nice. The basic iced coffee is my go to order and I really like the taste. The green ice tea lemonade is also very good if you don't want coffee. The space is big and there are many tables, some with outlets. Could be a good potential studying space, especially with the R&B playlist they had going on. Very interesting spot. Walked in at 8am, was completely empty. The outside of the place just looks like your local coffee shop, the type of spot that eventually remembers your order and your name. However, inside is a different feel for sure. The white walls are lined with abstract paintings, including a dog/donut mural? It's minimalism with a splash of color. The gray floor and white walls mix well with the wood seating and industrial style lighting. Service was good. When I came in the guy at the front totally got the vibe.
