I was really unimpressed with this place. I'm not new to the boarding scene. My dog is 10 and I move for work a bit so I've been through many dog boarding places. This place is nice and clean. It's nicely decorated from what I could tell and they have some televisions in the lobby to see the dogs in the back. On first calling them, the guy that answered the phone wasn't the nicest (seemed a little unfriendly and slightly condescending when I asked questions), but he wasn't rude. I set up a behavioral assessment and that went fine. They didn't give me a tour or anything which was a little weird, but not a big deal. I set up a boarding reservation and the guy took note of it and said he would enter it later. Well, he never entered it in the system or anything about my dog. I came to drop him off the morning of the reservation and there was a woman who looked at me, "like why are you here?" I explained about the reservation and she told me they had no record of my dog or the reservation. She acted like I was a nuisance. She saw me look at the time and she told me just to leave my dog!!! I said that I didn't feel comfortable leaving my dog when they had no information about him, his vet, his needs, my contact information, when I'm picking him up, etc. I asked her to try to get the file so she called the guy who said he left it out. She told him I was refusing to leave until they had the file. I corrected her and said I just want to make sure they have the information on him before I go. He was not helpful and she still couldn't find it. I wrote the basic information back down for her quickly and had to leave for my travel plans. I got no updates for my dog's 4 nights there. I'm used to emails or calls, especially for first time visits. I called the last two days to see how he was doing and they seem a little startled that I was calling and gave me bare minimal details. They did say he hadn't ate and was crying and howling at night. He seemed to have a rough time there, but I'm not sure they really did much with him. My dog does have separation anxiety and isn't that into playing with other dogs, but this sounds like he had a worse time than usual. I also asked them to add wet food into his meals and I'm not sure they did that or if they really cared he wasn't eating. Oh and they'll charge you for food which I think is ridiculous. He also had a birthday while there and they didn't realize that even though it's on the paperwork. Not that I expect them to do anything, but I'm just saying most kennels I've used have been far more into dogs and friendlier with people. They also usually went the extra mile of doing some special things for dogs and sending an email or pic or whatever. Just wasn't impressed and this place is $20/night more than the other kennels I have been too. I was expecting more and I'm glad I choose not to get a boarding package with me them. I'm going elsewhere for my travel next month. read more
