What made this place interesting was where this place was located; it was not on a main street or a strip mall but in the middle of a street with almost nothing around it. The inside was nice with tables in front of a large mirror. It was clean & looked after. The Italian owner roasts, bakes,cooks his food. He & the other workers were friendly & service oriented. A Total Gem of a Fine! To an uninformed passerby, this cafe can be easily missed. Once inside, you'd be blown away by the smell of freshly brewed Colombian coffee (roasted on the premise) and the smell of freshly baked pastries. The vibe is cozy and friendly . My daughter and I tried the bunuelo, a lightly sweet and golden brown cheese filled bun. Both coffee and buns were delicious! The friendly owner shared his passion for customer service in food and coffee and tea sector. Definitely, the best coffee in the area. I can't wait to come back and try some other menu item. Came a small distance for their coffee around 8am and found them closed even though their hours indicated otherwise. I waited a while but no show. Soooo inevitably I had to drive to find my morning needs at Cafe Vida which always has good joe. So why the 4 star? Well, I left a voicemail telling them I was a bit put out that I came and they weren't open without any warning or sign. The owner called back and left a voicemail around 9. He apologized, explained the situation (which was honest and plausible) and offered a free drink whenever I'm able to come back. I've been to so many restaurants that don't own up to their mistakes (see my recent review and owners response of Youell's Oyster House) that it's refreshing when a caring owner goes out of his way. It likely will be a while before I'm on that side of town again for coffee, but I'll be there for a coffee- one which I'm glad to pay for. read more

Five stars for a small local business. Just one guy who makes coffee, espresso and drinks the traditional way. Strong Colombian coffee. Small menu of sandwiches and baked goods. We ordered a cappuccino with almond milk and hot chocolate. We also got the Hepburn and Bellucci. The cappuccino was very flavorful and the coffee tasted unique. The hot chocolate was light and sweet and both drinks were hot and frothy, at the perfect level. I'm very happy that they have a vegetarian sandwich (the croissant is the only part that keeps it from being vegan) as I try to be vegan when I can. The drinks range from $3-6 and the sandwiches are $15. The place is run by a very nice man named Arthur and his wife. There are many imported goods available for sale as well, including imported Italian pastas, tomato puree, sardines, and veggies in jars. Of course, they also sell their own blends of coffee. I'll be picking up a bag of the chocolate nightmare blend. I'm also getting a truffle oil flavored olive oil spray from Italy without the silicone/propellant additives that you see in Pam/other generic store cooking sprays. The croissants in the sandwich were freshly baked and amazing! The pickle on the salad dish was to die for LOL. I can't say how the meat tasted but my sandwich was really flaky and had nice pickled flavors. We will be back :) read more

Honestly this spot was a godsend. I drank my last cup of home-brewed coffee this past weekend and needed more. Upon arrival, the owner greeted me coming from the back. I immediately asked for medium to dark roast beans. He said he ran out of that roast but offered me a cup which was already brewed to try for free. A few moments later he said if I waited 25 minutes he would roast a french roast for me on the spot! I was ecstatic and touched he would do that. Freshly roasted coffee! While waiting, I was also offered an espresso version of the cup of coffee I had from one of the baristas. It was smooth with stronger notes of the chocolate. I could not have asked for better customer service than that. It's places like this that make it so worthwhile coming back to my home town in the Lehigh Valley. read more

The place smelt delicious, fresh baked goods, and nice coffee to brew at home. Got an Almond Latte, 16 oz. made to perfection. Will come back for croissants and pan de bono. read more

The BEST coffee in the Lehigh Valley! Arthur is very nice and informative. The cappuccinos are incredible! He said I should try it with a sprinkle of cocoa on top for another dimension of taste and he was right! Delicious! It's not about the dramatics, simple store front offering coffee straight from Columbia. They sell teas and flavored coffee to drink on the spot or take home. First time to visit this simple store/ coffee roasting/ coffee shop. Arthur the owner and roaster was extremely friendly and informative about his roasts and bean selections. Had a great double espresso in the cafe. Bought 1/2 lb of Colombian Supremo whole beans to grind at home. Can't wait to try it. You have to try this place! I stopped by here with two friends from Brooklyn on my first trip to Allentown. Not only is the coffee amazing, but there are lots of unique and tasty food items for sale as well (in addition to pastries, there are things like canned sardines, olive oil, pasta, etc.). The owner had lots of helpful suggestions and clearly loves what he does. He was also went above and beyond when I called back later trying to track down my lost wallet....so kind and helpful.
