Usually not a huge fan of falafel, but this one was great! I got the garlic and tahini sauce on the side and they went perfectly with the salad! The drinks and smoothies are a bit on the expensive side but so are most healthy places like this. I think the falafel is pretty filling and worth the price its set at. I have frequented this place several times before and the food is phenomenal. However, arriving at the restaurant at 7:59pm not realizing this establishment closes at 8:00pm was an honest mistake. As I'm about to walk into the restaurant, a tall white heavy set guy with a pony tail who I know works there starts talking loudly from the other side of the door waving his finger at me going no no no. He then locks the door right in front of me and turns the sign to closed then walks away. I think a simple hey sir we are closed versus acting the way he did would have sufficed. Needless to say that small act turned me off. Note to the owner: sometimes the simplest of acts will either bring more or lose more business. Won't be coming back. read more

I'm a semi regular juicer so when I heard the folks from Art Cafe (my favorite coffee shop) were opening a juice place I was pretty excited. I just went in the first time and was bowled over by the selection. They also have baked falafel - are you KIDDING me?! Needless to say I inhaled it on my way over to the farmers market. I got a green juice with jalapeño (sorry can't remember which one exactly) but what I do know was it was delicious! I'm a local Nyacker and I'm so excited about this place opening. What a gem for our little town. The pitaya bowl is my favorite - they drizzle tahini on top to make it their own version. I've had multiple juices and smoothies here, which have all been delicious. Love the açaí bowls, their warm soup option on a cold day and the all in all feel of this place as I walk in. The rustic tables, basket lights, and warmth all around make it a place I frequent a lot. I can't say enough about how awesome the owner Dan is. He truly wants you to have a great experience. I've had a few of the salads and the chia pudding since they opened and I'm impressed! I was skeptical at first because I'm not usually into vegetarian restaurants but I have gestational diabetes so I really wanted some healthy fresh salads. Everything I had was so good and such a good value for all the awesome ingredients they put in there. My faves were the broccoli salad thing, chia pudding, and the falafel bowl which was flowing to the top with so many good sauces and stuff. What a wonderful place with a cool vibe to go with it! I felt that I was coming down with the flu. I got the refreshing Skinny Lemon juice (a blend of lemongrass, grapefruit and ginger) and it was just the right amount of vitamin C boost. When I asked what they'd recommend for a throat-ache / cold they gave me a shot of garlic/carrot juice....the following morning all aches and pains were gone!!! I came with my daughter who ordered the falafel in a pita and has been asking for it ever since! This is super surprising to me as she is neither a falafel aficionado, nor a cilantro and onion fan, but she gobbled it right up with the tahini& amba sauce. At another time we came there we got the cardamom chia pudding (warning: like cake batter and addictive), yogurt granola (gf homemade granola!),chickpea salad, and grab and go 2 hard-boiled eggs. I called in my order because I was on my way to work and when I arrived to pick up my order the cashier was kind to me, but once I got back to the car and tasted my beverage, there was salt and pepper in it instead of cayenne pepper like I had asked for. Mind you, the woman I spoke to on the phone repeated my order back to me. When I went back inside highly disappointed because I'm rushing to work, instead of the people in the back kitchen re-making the juice, the cashier went and made the juice for me. Able to see the people in the back kitchen looking through the window I said, "why would you put salt and pepper in a juice," my tone, rather neutral. When the cashier gave me the juice that she made she goes, "just so you know that's not how you speak to my coworkers" and I said to her, "have a nice day, " but Bari, you are wrong. I didn't ask for my money back but when you make a mistake and a customer responds to the mistake that you made, the customer is in the right, and after buying drinks there five times and dealing with inconsistency, one person is willing to blend garlic into my drink, the next person is telling me I have to use a garlic purée, you know, I'm just trying to fight my cold, I've been a juicer myself and it's very disheartening to feel the need to right a negative review for change to occur.
