What I loved about this restaurant was the opportunity to taste all of the palatable grilled meats (even grilled pineapple) from the skewers and have access to the salad bar. I tried the following: * Picanha (top favorite) * Chicken with Bacon * Shrimp * Garlic Picanha (top favorite) * Grilled Pineapple (top favorite) * Sausage * Lamb (top favorite) * Salad with Tomatoes & Olives * Fresh Fruit I also wanted to highlight the excellent hospitality from a staff member. The server I had at this restaurant was Angel. I absolutely loved that he was super funny, kind, and friendly. His attentiveness and service exceeded expectations and made the entire dining experience even more spectacular. Even for certain meats that weren't circulating on the floor, he would still bring them from the kitchen. The ambiance and atmosphere were truly beautiful. The food was on point from start to finish. The service was beyond marvelous. I highly recommend stopping by Picanha Brazilian Steakhouse for an epic dining outing that will leave you full and satisfied, especially since it's all you can eat!

RUDE, CONDESCENDING manager: RONALDO…read more Had a very disappointing experience at this establishment last night. My family and I have been coming to Picanha at the Palisades Mall for YEARS, and prior to that, at the Texas de Brazil in that same location prior to the transition of ownership. Picanha is a "favorite" establishment and we frequent especially during special occasions. Last night was my niece's 6th birthday, and she specifically asked for Picanha as where she would like her birthday dinner. My sister walked in at 6:15pm asking for a seat for a table for 7 people. The manager, Ronaldo, said that because reservations weren't made in advance and that it was a walk in he could not seat us until 8:00pm. My sister phoned me with this news, i was still on my way to the mall having made the trip from North Haven, CT for my niece. So, I came up with the idea that I will make a reservation online. I looked at the online booking on their website and there multiple reservations available to accommodate our party and so I chose 6:30pm. I even called the establishment to confirm the appointment, and the female hostess was able to confirm. I walked in at 6:25, the hostess acknowledged me and my family and was getting ready to seat us. But the manager, Ronaldo, saw my sister and my family and I said..."No, no, no, I told you guys you can't come into 8:00pm". And I said, but I made a reservation online? And he said "but I already told you you can't." Confused, I asked. There are multiple time slots available online, he said, word for word, "I recognize your faces. I already said I can't seat you until 8". We were upset, especially since his tone was very condescending and he was speaking to us rudely. Prolonging his syllables when we would try to speak to him and explain ourselves, not letting us speak and refusing to seat us as he is walking us towards the door in FRONT of my 6-year old niece and other customers in the establishment as we realize that we are now causing a scene. We had no choice but to leave. My niece was tearful and said, I don't want to come to Picanha anymore. "That man is so mean to my mommy". Really, Ronaldo? On her 6th birthday, really? Thank you for ruining that night and her special day for us. I don't need any "apologies" or special treatment. I just felt that the situation could have been handled differently and professionally if the manager that they have on duty was professional himself. My family and I are respected healthcare providers and we are very mindful about being professional and respectful to others, it was very disappointing and shameful that this man chooses to condescend us as if we were criminals while we were just trying to have and enjoy a special occasion at what used to be our favorite establishment. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

She made fabulous drinks. I tried Superfruit Lemonade (VeeV Açai Spirit, Grand Marnier, fresh strawberry, blueberry, lemon) I thought I left something behind so I called. I ordered the full churrasco for her and as the meat started to arrive, I instructed the server to place it on my plate since she could not grab it, so I can cut it for her and her younger sister who was also asking me to cut it, so they would be able to eat it. But, Very quickly and abrupt our waitress came and whisper, you will not be able to eat the serving you order, you have to pay per person for the full churrasco. I looked at her and told her she's special needs I need to cut her food. Then, disappeared with no explanation or never came back to clarify- I didn't know if I was going to get my original order, I also wanted to get an extra plate to put my kids bones so she didn't keep thinking I wanted to eat my kids food.. At this point it was just sad that either a manager made that call to instruct her to go tell me this.. or to train her to be so hasty and harsh and assume that everyone wants free meat. I don't mind rules but you have to be able to use common sense for every situation. There has to be some kind of flexibility- as a mom and as a mom to a special needs child I felt watched like a guard and uncomfortable that I in some way couldn't touch my kids meat or else I would get reprimanded. What I order was delish, the market place was Ok, dessert was delicious as well. I wish I can say the same about the service. The food was the only reason I made it a 3 since that interaction was horrible especially after a hard day of work --

So I said you know what... let me try Texas de Brazil. I went on a Monday--figured it wouldn't be packed, no reservation needed. And it's just me... table for one. Now let me be clear--I'm not trying to spend an arm and a leg. I got cocktail dresses, wigs, and heels to fund So I went with the salad area buffet. Unlimited salad and charcuterie? I'm good with that. It's $31.99 and you get three sides included. They gave me fried banana--I thought it was plantains. Nope. A whole yellow banana, fried in sugar till it caramelized. Baby... AMAZING. You also get delicious crispy fries and creamy, silky mashed potatoes with a little skin in there. They were so good. They also give you a basket of Brazilian cheese bread. Salad is salad--your usual suspects. Romaine, spring mix, all the fixings. But I wasn't there for that. I was there for the charcuterie And they did not disappoint. A whole spread--cheeses, cured meats, olives, hearts of palm, roasted peppers, marinated artichokes. Fresh mozzarella, manchego, goat cheese, salami, prosciutto... Also pineapple carpaccio. The thinnest slices of pineapple fried in sugar for a delicious glaze. Was a good palate cleanser to combat the saltiness of the charcuterie. I could have eaten the whole platter. If you want to see the entire spread go to the website. But what got me? Smoked salmon. They had me at smoked salmon. Add some red onions and capers? I'm sitting there feeling like somebody's Bubbe Oh--and yes, they had linen napkins and actual water glasses. Real cute. Shame there were no linen tablecloths though... I love that kind of detail. Please look into it. I washed it all down with caipirinhas--had the traditional lime and the strawberry. Both did what they were supposed to do. They even serve their soda in wine glasses. Fancy AF lol Service? Amazing. From the hostesses to my server, Deliah--she was a doll. Answered all my questions like a pro. I left full and happy. Ngl the meats did look delicious. So one day I'll bite the bullet and get the full experience. I did order dessert. I got the pecan coconut pie. Didn't taste much coconut but it was good. PS: The bathroom? Clean and FABULOUS. Something about a full door stall that goes all the way up to the ceiling... yeah, that does it for me

Ours was 30 minutes to be seated. Keep a front house manager actually verifying that guests are satisfied. Deliver the food as stated if you tell the table Medium rare, don't bring medium well, to well done. Verify that the noise level isn't increased by the music being too loud. Don't run out of drinks. Invest in blinds so that the cars parking don't shine their headlights through the windows. Make sure the waiters make eye contact with the guests, don't let them walk away from the table and not serve everyone. Verify that the food being served is not being over seasoned and is the correct temperature. The salad bar was good ! Make sure the grease catchers are emptied, ( they spilled grease on my pants ) Fix the bathroom doors, both men's and women's doors are being blocked open and that is not classy. I want to bring my family ( party of six ) back, but these deficiencies cannot continue.

It was not a bad drive from College Point, around 40 minutes crossing the bridge. Parking is super limited since they have a small parking lot and street parking could be a little challenging. The restaurant is very small but very cozy. Their decor is very elegant with low lighting. I really loved the service and how attentive our waiter was; he gave recommendations and explained the whole rodizio experience. They have a small salad bar with a selection of cold pasta salad, Caesar salad, arugula salad, white rice and different sauces. The waiter brought sweet plantains and cheesy bread balls to the table which were both absolutely delightful. Now the meats; I honestly enjoyed all the meats but my favorite were the skirt steak, picanha, chorizo and the chicken hearts. I loved that they bring the meat to your liking temperature wise; we requested medium well which was so juicy and tasty. You definitely get your moneys worth since you can keep repeating as much as you want. They end the meal with a beautiful slice of pineapple with cinnamon which is sweet. Since it was my birthday, my boyfriend requested a tres leches for the table which was honestly the most delicious tres leches I have ever had. It was a generous portion and was so moist and sweet. Enjoyed every bite of it. I will definitely be returning the next time I have a steak craving again.

The sides are good but not great, but that's not what you come here for. They have some meat add-ons that cost extra and they were intriguing but not enough for us to order them. The meats were delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. The server asks how you like your meats cooked prior to the service starting. They've got most of the typical cuts for rodizio and it's finished off with cinnamon-coated pineapple. Brazeiro just might be the new go-to for rodizio.

I very much have always loved the experience of Texas de Brazil…read more I love the cheesy bread, the salad bar and tried a really yummy Brazilian soda this time around. At the salad bar, I got some cheese, prosciutto, rice, potato salad, green beans, asparagus and potatoes au gratin. The only thing I found worth getting again was the potato salad but I didn't even need it because the mashed potatoes they bring out were enough for me, they're pretty good. I didn't like how the vegetables were all cold. The potatoes au gratin were warm but weren't good in my opinion but I was here for the steak so let's get to it: Picanha top sirloin - fire honestly, my favorite. Perfectly cooked. No notes whatsoever. This heavily weighed my rating. Tri tip - Pretty good taste, could've been more rare in my opinion. Flank - Okay, a little tougher than I was expecting. Garlic steak - Tough, not garlicky enough, overdone :/ not good. Barbeque ribs - Alot of cartilage, flavor was fine, not my favorite especially when there's steak involved. Bacon-wrapped filet - it was first brought out well done so I asked if they had it more rare. The server was nice enough to put in a medium rare request for me! He came back in about 5-10 minutes and it was more medium than rare (he asked me if it was alright and I lied because I didn't want to cause more stress so that's on me lol) I will say that it was definitely more rare than that first one and was more tender than the garlic steak but it fully absorbed the bacon flavor and it was a bit too much for me to enjoy. Other notes: I avoided the chicken because I remembered that it tends to be dry and I was right based on my family's reactions. I'm not a huge fan of sausage but my brother did have three of them so they're probably good lmao. The bananas are a good palate cleanser for in between and after. Since my birthday is coming up, I got a piece of the banana's foster pie and it was good! Just could do without the nuts inside personally. I would try something else next time probably. I think overall, Texas de Brazil is a bit hit or miss but I do enjoy the experience of trying and comparing different cuts, and there are some really good ones that make it worth it especially when I've been to expensive steakhouses that definitely don't have anything as good as that amazing picanha steak.
