Unfortunately, my experience at the new Riverbank warehouse completely contradicted what the company publicly promises. This was my first time ever returning jewelry -- a wedding ring -- and it was not a casual decision. Keeping the ring is emotionally difficult for personal reasons. Before coming in, I carefully reviewed Costco's return policy on their website and even printed it to ensure I was within their guidelines. I brought the ring in perfect condition, along with the original receipt and certification. Cesar, the employee who initially assisted me, was professional, compassionate, and began processing the return without issue. Based on the written policy and the interaction in store, there was no indication that my return was outside of guidelines. After I left, I received a call from the return manager, Cazandra, denying the return solely because "there was nothing wrong with the ring." That reasoning directly contradicts Costco's stated satisfaction guarantee. The policy does not state that an item must be defective to be returned -- it states that satisfaction is guaranteed. If a member is dissatisfied for any reason, the policy should apply consistently. Denying a return simply because the item is in perfect condition undermines the very wording of the guarantee. I was then required to return to the warehouse the next day to pick up the ring. When I brought a printed copy of the policy to discuss the inconsistency, I was met with resistance and an unprofessional attitude rather than a clear explanation of any written exception from Cazandra. The interaction lacked professionalism, empathy, and basic customer service. What was most concerning was that another return manager I spoke with did not understand why the return had been denied in the first place. That inconsistency suggests either a misunderstanding of company policy or selective enforcement. Costco's reputation is built on trust and standing behind its word. If policies are going to be applied differently than written, that should be clearly communicated to members. Otherwise, the satisfaction guarantee becomes misleading. This experience was disappointing, confusing, and completely avoidable. This would have been a 5 star experience if Sebastian and Cesar were the only ones assisting me through this process; unfortunately, Cazandra made it the worst experience I've ever had!

A bit unsanitary and noncompetitive prices…read more My dad and I came to check out US Foods CHEF'STORE to compare it to the other nearby bulk foods stores like Costco and Smart & Final. I was unimpressed by this one. As soon as you enter this store, you are met with a very unpleasant, almost rancid, smell. I couldn't quite place my finger on what the smell was, but it was definitely not something you want to smell when you enter a place that sells food. We checked out the produce and meat sections first. The fruits and vegetables seemed fresh. The meat section, however, was a bit concerning. All of the plastic bins where the large cuts of meat were stored were filled with meat juices. Although the refrigerated section was cold, I was still a little concerned about the sanitation. Unless you are truly buying in bulk for a restaurant or event setting, the prices are very comparable, if not more expensive, than other grocery stores like WinCo. The smaller bag of potatoes, for example, was significantly more expensive than the same size bag at Costco. The giant bag of potatoes though, was very cheap in comparison. They definitely have a great variety of items that your typical grocery won't carry though. A lot of the items are unique. The sheer amount of drink/cafe syrups was astounding. They have every single thing you may need for a restaurant from take-out containers to sauce and jelly packets. I am not familiar with the pricing of these items, but this seems like a convenient place to buy them.

Though they are not as big as Costco or Sam's Club, they do have the items that hubby and I typically needs when we come by here. They have a huge selection of Torani syrup's, and a good selection of frozen items, such as goat and beef. Decent selection of produce and dairy products as well. Quality of service: A++ Quality of selections: A Price: very reasonable

The entrance is off Pelandale Ave. They have a Costco gas station if you need that as well. I wanted to stop in cause I saw as I was browsing the internet, that Costco has changed up the bagel selection. They sell them in bags of 8 now, instead of requiring you like before to but two bags of six for a dozen bagels. The new price is basically $5.00 for 8, so I guess the price per bagel has gone up, but what hasn't. HERE IS THE BIG NEWS! THE BAGELS ARE NOW WATER BOILED! What that means is they're more like real bagels like you would find in an actual bagel shop, a more dense and chewy bagel, yeah like New York I guess, even though I've never been. The previous bagels were basically fluffy beard donuts! Costco ended their association with Einstein's bagels (the bread donut ones) and now makes their own using water boiling before baking. I tried them and, whoa, what a difference, it way better. Maybe not totally as good as an actual bagel shop, but way better than what they had before. I used to avoid Costco bagels, but not any more. Try them out!

Review #999 Posted on 2.11.26…read more We stopped into the Turlock Costco to grab a few items & gas too on Saturday morning the 7th while in Turlock. This location you can tell is a bit older version of what they build them like now, but they made the building a bit too small. The food court pickup line is on the left, I'm guessing so it's not in the way of people leaving after checkout. But it backs up into where the tables are if people want to sit and eat. They've also got an issue with where some of the stacks of items are, IE protein, other items, etc being too close to the checkstands. The customers backup to the stacked products when the lines are long, kind of like the Fremont location. Still though, Costco is the place to get a lot of great stuff for a great price, and gas at the best price. Can't be beat.

The only perk was surprisingly I didn't wait long in the checkout line and I got what I needed pretty fast. Also, everyone talks about Costco gas being cheap but Flying J actually had cheaper gas, which was surprising. The food court line was at least 25 people deep and barely moving, definitely not worth the wait. Overall it was fine, just not exceptional. Also the food line was almost blocking the exit . So your literally having to as people to move. So crazy.... Next time will be going Sam's Club they have pick up and never as busy.
