Review #999 Posted on 2.11.26 We stopped into the Turlock Costco to grab a few items & gas too on Saturday morning the 7th while in Turlock. This location you can tell is a bit older version of what they build them like now, but they made the building a bit too small. The food court pickup line is on the left, I'm guessing so it's not in the way of people leaving after checkout. But it backs up into where the tables are if people want to sit and eat. They've also got an issue with where some of the stacks of items are, IE protein, other items, etc being too close to the checkstands. The customers backup to the stacked products when the lines are long, kind of like the Fremont location. Still though, Costco is the place to get a lot of great stuff for a great price, and gas at the best price. Can't be beat. read more

I just spent over $700 at Costco, and after checking out, I still had to load every item into my own cart. At what point did I become a Costco employee? This isn't the level of customer service I've come to expect from Costco. As a paying customer, I shouldn't have to handle a task that has traditionally been part of the checkout process. If the issue is that stores are short-staffed, that's understandable--but it shouldn't come at the expense of the customer experience. Costco has built its reputation on value and excellent service. You can do better, and your customers expect better. read more

Giving this Costco 2 stars because it was sooo packed. Carts everywhere, people just standing around blocking aisles, and it honestly needed way better crowd control. The only perk was surprisingly I didn't wait long in the checkout line and I got what I needed pretty fast. Also, everyone talks about Costco gas being cheap but Flying J actually had cheaper gas, which was surprising. The food court line was at least 25 people deep and barely moving, definitely not worth the wait. Overall it was fine, just not exceptional. Also the food line was almost blocking the exit . So your literally having to as people to move. So crazy.... Next time will be going Sam's Club they have pick up and never as busy. read more

Food court at 10:15am is a complete mess, we waited 20 minutes just to pick up a smoothie. Every time we come here there is such a long wait time. Nothing is prepared to keep up with the rush, employees moving like snails and general disorder. read more

This Costco is always a fiasco but today my complaint is about a worker that was "helping" in the self checkout section. My boyfriend and I went to the self check out because it was a shorter line than the rest of the stands. As we're scanning a pack of sodas the machine says not to place on weight tray so we move it to the cart but then the machine says item isn't found on weight tray so he decides to place it on there anyway. Well then it said to call a worker over so that's what we had to do and I don't know what it is but every time we go to this Costco we encounter rude workers. This lady was condescending. She was training someone and was basically calling us stupid because we put the item on the weight tray when AT FIRST it said not to place but then said item wasn't found and to place on tray. She told the person she was training that she was going to use our mistake as an example to show her what to do ... Then she condescendingly asked us if we had been to a Costco before and when my boyfriend replied yes she said " it's ok you don't have to lie" like why would we lie? First she acts like we're stupid then she calls us liars. I was honestly left speechless. It was unnecessary and unbelievable. She has no business working around the public if this is how she acts over a simple mistake. It wasn't even our mistake honestly because the machine was giving mixed signals. Either way it was unprofessional. I should have reported it right away to management but to be honest I just wanted to get the hell out of there. Going forward I will be calling corporate because this isn't the first rude encounter I've had with the workers of Costco. read more

This costco was so organized with checking in and speedy checkout as well! We went around noon on Sunday. Kinda wished my town would implement their method of pulling the two scanners to one person to check in ppl. Food court is located outside and lines were there. Went here for lunch and walk around to kill time. It was very clean and organized in there. All common items were stocked and ready. It wasn't too busy as it was around 11am. The price for products and food were low. I was impressed to find a Costco out here. There's even car wash! It was cool. The service was quick and easy. They always simplify checking out. I'd say the selection was the same as the other locations I have been too. I'd definitely come back here if I'm in the area! read more

This Costco food court was an absolute disaster from start to finish. There was a complete lack of customer service, care, and professionalism. It took over 20 minutes just to receive a hot dog, which is honestly unbelievable for a food court that's supposed to be fast and efficient. When I politely asked if I could get a refund or even switch the item due to the excessive wait, I was flat-out told that was not possible. No empathy, no attempt to help, and no accountability whatsoever. The environment behind the counter was just as bad as the service. I have never in my life seen such a counterproductive workplace. Staff were openly arguing, there was zero communication, and total chaos. At one point, five different employees were checking on the same person's pizza, while others were repeatedly rechecking the temperature of the hot dogs every 30 seconds instead of actually moving orders along. If this is the standard that management allows, I can only imagine how poorly run the rest of this store must be. Frankly, it felt like an absolute mess and likely the least profitable Costco in the area based on how inefficient everything was. I will be going out of my way to avoid this Costco entirely and will happily drive an extra 15 minutes each way just to never have to deal with this dysfunctional environment again. The Modesto Costco and this Turlock Costco are my two local ones. Hence, I would alternate between the two depending on what I need. Not all Costcos carry the same items as it depends on your location or neighborhood. Hence, if Modesto Costco doesn't have my items, then off I come to Turlock's and vice versa. Do find that Turlock is less congested or less crowded, while Modesto is always crazy packed inside and out. At least both are conveniently located right near highway 99 on/off ramp. read more

Wow, who could not like Costco. The staff are always happy. I'd work there if I could get my current pay. I don't always get the items I want that day, partially my fault cuz I know you got to buy it when you see it at Costco. Food items usually good, had a couple of items that flavor was not very good to me. As for the rest I can't complain. Really good stuff for a very reasonable price. During Covid, my first & last time buying 50lbs of rice. Great deal, had rice in gallon bags in the freezer for months. Used a lot and gave away a lot.... read more

Cashier Dani has a horrible attitude that needs to be confronted about. While in the bathroom with my fiancee my mom was approached and asked for her membership card, and while my mom explained that I was the one who had it and I was in the restroom she let out a huge sigh and told her I needed to hurry up because the checkout process goes by fast. Due to medical issues I cannot just "hurry up". The attitude is uncalled for and typically with big companies like this unwelcoming. I'm sure she wouldn't appreciate her family being talked to the way she talks to customers. Do better shawty. read more

Have been in several more times after contacting corporate Washington State. Turlock location, pretend it does not exist. And by no means ask for help. Jokers. Bread is always old, have to search for vegetables not brown from being old. And if you bother an associate texting or gossiping. The response is as if you kicked them in the shens. The will walk together 3 & 4 wide while you wait for the parade. It is certainly not geared toward customer service. If you oder a pizza while shopping, you will then wait 30 to 45 minutes in line to pick up your cold soggy pizza. They do not use proper health hygiene per health department laws contaminating your food with other customers. Putting their same gloves all over counter and not changing them. But putting all the bacteria and viruses on your food, knows drawers so everyone get contamination.. that was inappropriate before covid. They have employees standing around all the time 10 at a time not doing anything. Yet if you ask for help. How dare you. The Reoresenative handling the store. She too is a joke. Came here to choose my glasses frames, someone sat me down requested my insurance card and prescription, (I have eyemed and all my insurances are linked to Anthem Blue Cross medical card) well the lady working was kind of cold but I assumed maybe she had a long day... she lets me pick my add-ons like anti scratch coating etc. inputs all my information, prints the paper out and it says $289!!?.... Being well aware of my vision insurance plan and knowing it should cost SIGNIFICANTLY less I asked the lady if this is the total price with my insurance. She's says "oh no we don't accept this insurance..." like WOW it would've been GREAT to know that before I spent a hour here and nearly ordered my prescription...My time was wasted and I feel like I was nearly scammed. read more

This was the worst Costco trip I have had. The employees were rude, many of the aisles were too narrow in the front, and this caused customers to pile up. The food court no longer has onions for the hotdogs, no napkins, and no lids for the cups. They no longer wrap the hot dogs with paper and foil; instead, they put them in a paper bag, so they get cold before you get a chance to eat them. The condiment counters were dirty, and the relish was clogged. The tables were not clean, and the store overall was a mess. I am now questioning whether paying the membership fee is worth it. I am leaning towards Sam's Club because their membership is a better deal, and their prices are the same or sometimes cheaper. read more

my wife and just have the worst delivery experience with this Costco ,we order the washer and dryer and the bring it 2 weeks ago broken and we have to return it.we wait for 2 weeks so they could bring new equipment . Today they bring the equipment and one of the 2 guys was really rude and have a violent actitud with my wife that was home alone because I was at work ,drop the tools on the tail floor and start moving our furniture without any care.the other guy ,HUGO was profesional and finish the job .THIS has nothing to do with him But the other guy needs to be fired immediately because thats not a way to do customer service or anything on any job .don't let this guy go to any other house because it could be a danger to any customer read more

Manager Carlos could use a lesson or two on how to speak to a customer. He took pleasure in down talking to me over a hugh mistake his staff made as if it was my fault. He proceeded to block my account so I would be stopped from any future purchases as we discovered at a different location today. This caused embarrasment and frustration at the check out as the clerks could not move forward and had to put all of our product back in a cart and the customers in line behind us were mugging us and pushing their way through. I would expect this kind of treatment at a car dealership, certainly not from Costco. As a Manager "Leader" game playing and down talking should never be in his arsenale. This man needs to be very careful how he treats "Costco's" guests as everyone is replaceable! read more

Costco, everyone's favorite store. If it's not, why? My only complaint sometimes with the Turlock Costco is the lack of registers open but I understand this location gets a ton of foot traffic and they are also probably short staffed. The prices are great, staff is nice and who doesn't want to get a hot dog and drink for $1.50 after letting your wife spend $500 on groceries ? It's the little things in life. This review is for the Instacart Costco delivery service. For many, sheltering in place has become our new norm. We definitely want to do our part by staying at home and practicing social distancing. However, we all still need essentials such as food. Unfortunately there have been super long lines to enter Costco, which means a lot of people inside the warehouse which makes it difficult to practice social distancing. Enter the service of Instacart! I had visited Costco's website to see if they have a delivery service, which they do thanks to Instacart! The process could not have been easier. I installed the app, and began shopping from the comfort of my home. We were able to order the food items we needed with recommendations for substitutions for items that may be sold out. A delivery date and time window was selected and that was it! When the day of delivery arrived, we received a notice on the app that our shopper was shopping our list. We were able to see updates on progress and even received a text stating one of our items wasn't in stock, but there was another brand available if we would like. Certainly! After shopping was complete, we were able to view the location of our shopper On the app as she approached our home. Our shopper was very friendly and our items were packed with care. She also did an excellent job selecting good quality produce, which was something I was concerned about. While I don't know if this is a service we will use after shelter in place precautions are lifted, it has been a great service to my family during this time. read more

The Costco Tire Center refused to rotate my tires because I had 1 tire that wasn't from Costco. I even offered to pay for the non-Costco tire to be rotated, but the Costco employee told me they aren't allowed to touch a car unless all tires are from Costco. I had to get that extra tire at America's Tires because of a flat I got in the Bay and Costco did not have appointments for 2-3 weeks at the time and I needed my car for work. I called America's Tires today to see how much a tire rotation would cost, and they rotated all of my tires for free because at least 1 tire was bought at their shop.
