This is my latest color choice, a nod to Halloween coming up in a french tip style. Mary is always helpful on choosing my best nail shape, repairing my nails if one is thin or broken and helping me choose fun colors, even though I usually gravitate to pinks or purples. I have been getting my nails done for 30 years, and have been coming to this salon since it opened about three years ago. You get very convenient parking, always available unless it is the one weekend of the art & wine in the summer, plan accordingly for that. Always fabulously decorated for whatever holiday or season it is at the time. Right now the fall decor is gorgeous, just peek in and check it out if you haooen to be shopping at Raleys next door. It is so festive and inviting. You are graciously greeted every time by the girls at the front who check you in, and ALWAYS offer you a beverage while you wait and when you are seated. Jen, the owner, takes care of planning your every need to make you comfortable. There are plentiful sugary snacks to treat your sweet tooth, and fun juice or mimosas while your relax and pamper yourself with her unique and beautiful array of pedicure offerings. Definitely check out all the brand new pedicure stations too. Super comfortable. Mary is my go-to, and she always does a perfect 10 job for me. And just when you think that is all to talk about? On top of that, you earn points from your visits which provide discounts toward services. Not all salons do this. If you are looking for price vs quality for price paid, choose Mood every time. First, the tech showed up late, but I wasn't in a rush so it wasn't a problem. As for the actual work, my cuticles could've been cleaned up better on both my hands and my feet. I paid for gel nails thinking they would last longer, but they started chipping after a little over a week. The biggest issue, though, was my eyebrow wax. My eyelid actually got burned during the service, and three weeks later, I still have a mark from it. I tried reaching out to them privately through their contact form to show them the photos and ask for a refund on the wax service only, but they never bothered to reply. It's a bummer because the day started out nice, but between the burn, the mark still being there, the nails not lasting, and being ignored regarding the burn, it left a sour taste.

I am rough with my nails and constantly cleaning, using chemicals, etc, but somehow, their method and products last. I can go 5-6 weeks between gel manicures with absolutely no chipping or peeling. Tammy and Tina are the main reason for my review. They are both so friendly and provide excellent customer service as well as services. I leave here satisfied EVERY. TIME. They never rush my indecisive self when I'm picking colors and always offer to swatch the 2-3 that I'm deciding between so I can see it on my nails. Q Nails is very clean and I love how intimate this nail shop is compared to those that have a dozen chairs and tables. They have a special table with fans for your hands and feet to dry your polish quicker. Here, it is very clear that they focus on quality, rather than quantity. To avoid waiting, make an appointment. I usually go to Kate or Nikki, but I've also had my nails done by Betty and Amy as well. You can tell that everyone here is very thorough and don't rush and my sets last for a long time and personally, I've never experienced any nails breaking or have been dissatisfied with the service or results. I also love that I don't feel pressured for a certain service or style like I have at other salons and they've even recommended certain colors or add-ons to enhance the vision I'm going for - whether it be a slightly different color to prevent fading or a color that might pop better against my skin. I'm not usually a design girly but here I feel like I can trust Kate and Nikki to try something different that maybe I don't have a specific vision for. I'm not one for super long nails either but the short almond suits my nail beds really well and because of how the staff does my nails, I feel like it isn't bothersome until I need to get a new set. The aesthetic of the salon is super clean and bright, making it feel relaxing and luxurious at the same time. I also feel like the price is pretty reasonable compared to what I've heard other salons charging. Since I started going here I have not regretted it and definitely recommend.

Most nail places hand you a menu and when you tell the the service you want, that's what they give you. We felt scammed. When we tried to question their shady business ethic, they gave excuses and stamped extra punches in a card to "apologize". We won't be returning.
