I have been a loyal customer to Barefoot Massage, so far, already 2 and a half years already. I am extremely picky with the cleanliness as well as the professionalism of the masseuse. They also have trained masseuse that massage pregnant women, which I love. I know there are places that does not provide prenatal massage or they just never been trained how to take care one because prenatal massage therapy can be an instrumental ingredient in women's prenatal care and should be given careful consideration. The owners are always friendly and respectfully, it's preferable to make an appointment so you don't have to wait but they are also welcome walk-in. This is the only place that I go to for massage! Ask for Rhina. She is the best masseuse, professional, experienced and never beg for more tips like other spa place. read more

I have been going here for about 3 years and this was the worst experience i have had so far. My girlfriend and I went and we had the double room in the back near the bathroom and the room the employees stay in prior to coming out to work with a client. We heard the dog on the premise barking as well as the employees talking which were very loud. The massages were the worst we have experienced. They basically put the massage lotion or oil on you and there was no pressure whats so ever. I gave two stars because the place was clean as far as i can see. read more

I treated my parents to a couples massage this weekend. I was impressed by the overall ambiance and cleanliness of the rooms. My parents raved about the quality of the massages they received . "Top notch", they said "best massage I've received....and I get a lot of massages". My parents are pretty critical at times, so the fact that they enjoyed it so much makes me very pleased. I took my daughter for a foot massage at Barefoot today. It was the most pleasant experience! Our therapists were the sweetest women with awesome skill! We were very relaxed and comfortable but we did have a couple laughs with them - probably to the chagrin of the man on his lunch hour At the end of the massage, they give ur legs, hips and arms a good stretch plus massage the top of ur head. That may have been my favorite part because I wasn't expecting it and yesterday was leg day at the gym and my muscles were tight. They feel great now! This review is for those who are considering getting a prenatal massage. I am 31 weeks pregnant and called ahead of time to make an appointment for the foot and body combo 60 minutes for $80. I've been having bad foot pain and lower back pain which the lady at the front desk knew prior to my arrival. When I arrived the lady at the front desk told me the masseuse would not be able to do deep tissue because I am 7 months pregnant and that she can only do it "lightly." I wasn't surprised by this as I know some places are scared about touching pregnant women. Pros: Provided me a pregnancy pillow Clean Has parking Friendly enough staff Cons: You can't communicate with the person who is doing your Massage because they don't speak English you can only communicate with the lady at the front desk. Wood beds which over time actually really hurt when you are laying on your side During the middle of my massage I noticed she wasn't touching my lower back. When I inquired about why she brought the lady at the front desk in who told me she cannot Massage my lower back because I am pregnant. (This is a BUMMER as this was the ENTIRE reason I booked the Massage). I was also told by the lady at the front desk that the masseuse would massage my left side for 30 minutes and the right side for 30 minutes then do my feet for 10 minutes. I thought to myself "well that's not exactly what I wanted, but okay." Instead she did only did my left and right side for 30 minutes each. The masseuse NEVER massaged my feet...all she did was rub the oil over my feet ONCE. When I was checking out I explained that i was disappointed and that i do not think i should be charged $80 for the service i received. The overall Massage was pretty poor...barely any pressure I'd say a 6/10. I let the lady know that if she had told me that they were not going to Massage my lower back or feet i never would have made the appointment. Instead of charging me $80 she said " fine give me $50" I'm happy she reduced the price, but this was overall a bad experience. I'm writing this review while I'm still in the parking lot lol! My issues is that the communication should have been better with the woman at the front desk and she was totally capable of doing this. The massage was nice. Everything that followed, was not. I was instructed to leave my belongings, including my $500 Gucci glasses, on a chair next to the massage tables. During my massage, I thought I heard a noise, but I disregarded it. Afterwards, however, when I went to put my glasses back on, I discovered they were broken. I realized one of the arms of my glasses had been broken, most likely, stepped on. After looking around the room for a bit, I found the missing piece on a shelf. Meaning, this woman stepped on my glasses, hid the broken piece, and then put them back on the chair. I went out to tell the receptionist what had happened, and essentially, that someone owed me $500. The receptionist called in my masseuse, who began to give a string of excuses, none of which were valid, and she was trying to blame me for leaving my glasses where I did (where she told me leave them). The masseuse grew angry, started yelling at me, and then stormed off, making sure to slam the door behind her. The receptionist then called the owner, who I spoke to on the phone. The owner was very nice, and told me I would get my $500 and it would come out of the masseuse's money. I waited for them to get their bearings, and eventually, my masseuse came out and handed me $500 in bills of varying size. I walked out of there, only to realize that in the midst of all the commotion, I had forgotten my broken glasses. This is where it gets interesting. When I got back into the place to get my glasses, and asked the receptionist if I forgot my glasses, she says to me, "These are mine. I bought these." I was at a complete loss for words, and began to argue with her. The receptionist eventually called the owner, and after a 2 second phone call, the receptionist hung up the phone and handed me my glasses. Don't go here. They also told me I couldn't leave a bad review if they paid me, and I really wasn't going to--until she tried to tell me she bought my glasses. read more

Beware. The massages are good depending on who you get but watch out on the tipping. 20% is not enough and the owner /manager will flat out tell you you have to give more. If you hesitate or you try to explain that you weren't happy with the service, she will basically tell you not to come there anymore. I called Sunday night for a Monday appointment and requested Emily. Got an app for Monday morning. The place is very cute and clean. I arrived 10 mins early and was quickly hushed into a room and I got ready for my massage aka got naked. The lady at the front desk come in and said Emily was running late and suggested I try Kathy. I wanted Emily but agreed. I do NOT regret it. Kathy worked on my nasty knot until it was gone. I would not recommend this place as we had a bad experience with the lady(Chinese lady Wears Glasses) I do not know her name but she was sitting in front desk. She was so rude and absolutely a pathetic women. I and my husband went to this place for a massage and When i was sitting in the chair and massage lady was preparing for massage but I was hesitating to do foot massage as I am pregnant and I do not know it's good or bad. suddenly i googled it before she started and found out that its not recommended as it leads to miscarriage if massage person doesn't know the massage Points. so My Husband went Inside and I decided not to take any risk and I told her to stop the preparation and told Receptionist who was In green dress talked to me politely. but I had to go out and wait as I should not stay at the reception. after 45 Mins I went inside and asked a lady at the reception for the toilet she was so rude and I was kinda shocked with her behavior. She finally said ok, but obviously wasn't happy I was going to get a discount. First when I asked if they were accepting the Yelp coupon and was told not to worry about it they would give me the discount rate when I came in. While the rate was discounted the service and the massage were definitely premium quality. Place was clean airy and well lit. Massage was literally if not the best one of the best I've ever had. Having recently moved from Boston, and frequent massages such as Exhale, Corbu, and Bodywaves there, I noted that Boston Bodywaves was the best of all and am currently seeking a massage place in Central Jersey that is equally as great. My search ended when I found Barefoot Massage. The location is clean, have tons of parking spot, and friendly staffs. I got their 1st visit 48$ 1 hour body massage special, and having many tight spots on my back and shoulder, my masseuse actually went out of his way to work through all the knots and went over time by 15 minutes in order to still get the full body without charging extra. (I was skeptical at first as I usually needed 90 minutes massage, but wow, this is the first time 1 hour massage felt completely sufficient.) His skill was phenomenal, able to work through all my sore spots without making me feel uncomfortable with the pressure, thereby making the massage entirely relaxing. I felt like I could float out of the place after my massage was done with him having worked out all my sore spots. I went on a weekday night. It was quiet, ambience was great & every thing is so neat & clean. I had several massages before, but this one clearly stands out. I took a body massage & emily was really great. They use hot stones & will not waste a single minute during the session. They clearly are pro at this.
